Trixie tensed, taking a hard breath and digging her nails into her palms as she clenched her fists. "Oh, sorry, is me talking bothering you as well? I'll refrain. Anything else?" She asked blandly, sinking quietly to the ground and sitting down. She flinched as he spoke again. 'Some girl'? That was all she was? "Right, well, I'd rather not be dissed by 'some guy' who can't take his own advice. Yet here I am. But oops, I spoke. I'll shut the fuck up now." She said coldly, curling her knees to her chest.

Matt closed his eyes in a very weak attempt to calm himself down as Trixie spoke, though the fist digging into the wall behind him said otherwise. "You're pathetic Trixie, you know that. If there's one thing I had to say on the spot that I disliked about you, it's your pettiness. Instead of actually listening to what i'm saying and taking it in, you get all loud and defensive and petty, and i hate it. I don't know why I bothered getting involved with you at all." He said, his tone dropping to a low volume, his voice a deep rumble. "And we both know you think i'm more than 'some guy' stop using my words to hurl insults at me" he added, a small smile playing on his lips for a couple seconds.

Trixie simply looked up and watched him as he spoke, swallowing and giving a faint, quiet nod. She tensed and managed not to be reduced to tears at his words, sighing. She looked almost sick as he smiled at her, recoiling just a little. She stood by her word and didn't say a thing, simply giving him a hurt look and laying her head down on her knees.

"See? You know I'm right" Matt shrugged, not feeling as much guilt as he knew he should for any of the arguably harsh things he had said. As much as he wanted to walk off, go and find someone else to throw insults at, he also very much didn't want to leave Trixie alone in a place like this. So instead he let himself stay leant against the wall, relaying the past events through his head. One minute he had been stood in a room full of other people, fixated only on Trixie, or at one point only on Kiara and now he was stuck here. As soon as he remembered Kiara his face dropped slightly, and he dropped his head into his hands slowly.

"Yeah. You are." Trixie said flatly, then raised her head and tilted her head up at him. "Do you get some sort of perverse joy about making me feel worthless? Is that what I have to do to make you happy?" She asked softly, watching him. "Or do you just have this feeling that you're doing me a favor by throwing every fault and imperfection in my face?" She asked, softer this time. "I would genuinely like to know." She finished, then went to staring at her feet.

"If i really make you feel that worthless you could have ditched me so long ago Trixie. I just say what comes to mind instead of being the sort of freak who keeps the reality of things to themselves to make others feel better." Matt huffed, looking down at Trixie with an intense stare. "For all I care, leave right now. Go and spend the last days by yourself if i'm that horrible" he added, giving a weak shrug. It was clear he regretted his words pretty much as soon as they left his mouth, though he did his best not to let that on.

Trixie closed her eyes in frustration and opened them again, glaring up at him. "You didn't answer my question. Any of them." She said quietly. "Answer my question so I can leave. Any one of them." She said, her tone of voice almost a warning. "Give me a singular, straight answer to any of those very easy questions. That's all I want. Then I can go and I can go feel like dirt by myself instead of with you." She reiterated, standing and giving him an expectant look.

Matt raised his eyebrows at Trixies demanding tone, shaking his head slowly. He could either choose to be sensible and make it a little easier for both of them, which would involve actually opening up, or he could choose to be stupid and make it difficult for them. Of course, he chose the second option. "I don't have to answer anything, Trixie, it's not the law. Plus i'd rather keep it to myself seeing as that's what we're doing here." he huffed, bringing his fist up from against the wall to rake the hair out his eyes. "Plus if i don't answer that means you stay, no?" he asked, a teasing but slightly patronising tone playing on his voice as he asked.

Trixie was visibly trembling a little when he spoke and she glared at him, purely unamused by anything he said. "I'm not going to stay with you if you keep insulting me, Matteo. I want an answer, and I want one now. Especially if you're gonna keep acting like an asshole." She said flatly, frowning.

"Im not the only one acting like an asshole here Trixie, don't start with your stupid 'oh let me blame it on the other person' shit" Matt mumbled, standing himself upright from the wall to look at her properly. As much as he wanted to carry on acting the way he was, calm himself down by working another person up or whatever the phrase was, he knew that now of all times was probably the worst. He gave a deep sigh and tore his gaze away from the girl, settling it on the emptiness in the distance. "My answers no. I don't like it, nor do I exactly get joy from it. I just haven't changed yet, Trixie and I can safely say there's no point trying now that I know we won't see each other again in a couple days" he started, his heart pounding slightly faster. "I sort of just stick with hurling every insult i can think of at people and then after that's passed, act like nothing happened. Focus on the positives or whatever. Like with us, Id just focus on whatever happier times we had" he explained, his tone sliding slowly back to neutral.
