Mari huffed out a breath at him, rolling into her back. "You only say that because you don't have to do it!" She yelped at him with a laugh. She then wrapped her arms around her stomach defensively. "The next one best not try and kill me I swear to god," she huffed with a bit of a chuckle. She then pouted at him. "I mean... I love you. I suppose I could put up with another little demon if you're helping," she chuckled lightly. She felt her whole body shrivel up after a few moments, his next comment making her wince. "No, and it's a good thing two because you'd be awful at being pregnant," she mused lightly.

Sage squeaked lightly when she yelped, though in nothing more than amusement. "Maybe," he hummed. He chuckled again at her next comment, rolling his eyes slightly. "That would, in fact, be a good thing," he mused. "I too think you should stay alive," he chuckled. He snorted lightly and nodded. "Oh, you suppose so, huh," he teased the girl lightly. He shrugged slightly and bobbed his head up and down in a nod. "True," he chirped. "But I'm rather glad I don't have to deal with that," he giggled lightly.

Mari nodded lightly. "I'd like it if I could live, too," she mused lightly to him. "I also really don't want another boy," she giggled, although it seemed like she was expecting him to do something about it. He couldn't pick the gender of the child, and she knew that, but she could tease all the same. "I think so," she chirped. "I want a girl that I can dress up," she told him with a chuckle. She smiled gently to him after a few moments. "Yeah, you can feel lucky. It's a bit unfortunate that babies don't grow on trees," she huffed to him with a pout.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded at the girl's comment. In all honesty, he was still rather terrified he'd lose her if she gave birth to another baby, but they were better prepared this time, and the doctor would be able to prevent something like that from happening again, at least a little bit more. Then he rolled his eyes at her other comment, chuckling slightly. "Of course, lemme just pick which chromosome I give you every single time we mess about," he snorted in a rather amused manner, really just teasing the girl. "The poor baby," he hummed when she said she wanted to dress a daughter up. "Maybe we ought to have another boy, so as to spare the little one," he joked, obviously just teasing mari....he wasn't a fan of dressing up, at all, and they both knew it, so he could tease. He chuckled and nodded at her last comment too, nodding with a shrug. "Plucking them off a branch would be preferred to screaming bloody murder all night long," he mused. He did sort of feel bad that Mari had to push out an entire human being, and carry said human being for nine months, but that was just how life worked and he couldn't exactly help her out very much with it all.

Mari grinned happily at him, nodding enthusiastically. "I good! Start picking now," she giggled lightly as she went to peck his neck. She gave a bit of a grumpy look to him when he expressed sorrow for the unborn child. "I always wanted to be dressed up as a kid! And I can't very well dress Silas up without you getting upset," she huffed to him with a bit of a sigh. "And who knows, it might be easier to carry," she chirped happily. She knew it wouldn't change anything. "But I'm gonna love anything we have, you know that!" She chirped lightly. She would, too... with her whole heart. "And Silas has been spared... but whatever we have next, is going to be dressed up like a doll," she giggled mischievously. She then hummed light again in response to his next comment. "I suppose... I do just kind of not want my water to break like... in bed again?" She mused lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly, a happy hum rising in his throat at her peck, and nestled into her happily. He chuckled lightly and gave her an amused look at her comment about her childhood. "You enjoy being dressed up and pampered now," he teased her lightly. "I think Silas would be the upset one," he noted with an amused shake of his head. Then he gave her a grin and nodded. "so will I," he chirped. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and hummed in agreement. "That would be preferred. I sorta feel bad for whoever had to clean those sheets," he chuckled, half teasing the girl about it.

Mari hummed with a bit of a chuckle, a small smile crossing her face when he went to curl into her, her arms tightening around him, fingers gently running up and down his back. "I've only ever gotten to do that once, and I'm rarely the one getting pampered, Sage," she mused lightly. It was true... She loved her life, and she wouldn't change anything about it, but she did wish she could dress up a little bit more often. Get her hair done up properly, get a nice outfit and go out and do something nice for a little while. She was always the one doing those kinds of things, and perhaps it was a bit vain to think of those things like that... but she'd have to get over it... it didn't matter all that much. "If we get a daughter she'd absolutely gonna get dressed up," she giggled happily. She wrinkled her nose at his last comment and gave a bit of a nod. "Yeah, next time I'm just gonna have to sleep on the floor until the baby gets here," she chuckled, rolling her eyes a tiny bit.

Sage hummed lightly and shrugged. "Well, I'll pamper you all you want then," he chirped, pecking the top of her head happily. He wanted to make her feel good...whether that was intimacy, or buying her a nice dress or two, or just cuddling up sometimes. He'd do anything she wanted him to, and he hoped she knew that. "I suppose I'd want to spoil her too," he admitted with a bit of a chuckle. Then he snorted and rolled his eyes. "Oh please, if you're pregnant you should get extra comfy, not sleep on the floor," he chuckled. "Maybe the queen would make the cook clean it up as punishment for making good food," he teased her lightly.

Mari hummed quietly to him, shaking her head. "I don't need that, Sage," she whispered to him. She wanted it, but she didn't need it. She could live without all those things... but it was nice to know that if she really wanted it he'd give it to her. "I just want you," she giggled quietly. As cheesy as it was, she moved to peck his lips lightly. "These kids are going to be so spoilt, Sage," she mused with a happy smile, her eyes bright. She kind of cocked her head from side to side before smiling lightly a him. "Well if it happens in bed I don't particularly want someone else to have to clean it up!" She complained to him.

Sage hummed lightly, his normal delighted grin crossing his face when she kissed him. "I know, but I wanna spoil you too," he whined. "And you have me, so now you gotta want other stuff too, or I won't know what to get your for birthdays or Christmas or random days because I just feel like giving you something," he sort of babbled. But it was true...he wanted to spoil her a bit, just like he fully planned on spoiling their children. He chuckled lightly when she mentioned the kids being spoiled and nodded. "That's just the way it should be," he chirped before giving the girl a grin. "Would you rather do it yourself after you just popped out a tiny human alien," he teased her. "I'm sure the maids have seen their fair share of births," he mused lightly. "Besides, that's the least gross thing about it all," he admitted with a light chuckle.
