Sophia smiled and grabbed her bag, going to class. After her last class, she was in the locker room getting a pregame pep talk. She walked to the dugout after warming up, her brain was trying to figure out the best way to distract the other team. She could do her signature batting style, but so many people expected it. Maybe if she DIDNT do it today, she could still beat them. Worst comes to worst, she does the hit and more people figure out how she does it. The game started with her team on the field. They got three strikes and the first person was out. Next was out on first and third for out on third base. Sophia was surprised at how bad the team was at batting. Even on the field the other team sucked. Her team won by 15 runs because the other team was so bad. Sophia was worn out. Because of how much the other team sucked, she had to run more than usual. She stopped outside the dugout with a weak smile, waiting for Zephyr

Zephyr watched the game with a little less interest. These people weren't as good- they seemed to be great at pitching, but horrible at batting. He cheered when neccesary and stayed silent most of the time, just enjoying resting and watching Sophia. After the game was over Zephyr waited for the crowd to grow a little more thin before walking down, angling towards the dugout where he saw Sophia waiting. "That was a great game! Although I couldn't have done it. I would've collapsed on the field after having a heart attack from running too much." He snorted with a wide smile.

She grinned "I almost did!" She grabbed his arm and pulled him out of view from everyone. "For some reason I always feel the need to hide when I want to kiss you. Right now is no different. Do you want to go to the park later?" She leaned closer to him, her green eyes locked onto his Edited at April 25, 2024 03:38 PM by Dandelion Farms

"Well good thing you didn't. Don't die on me now." Zeph chuckled, allowing himself to be tugged out of view before snorting slightly. "For some reason. I know a reason. Nosy people. Anyway, yes, I think I'd enjoy that quite a bit, and this time I planned ahead and said I'd be gone for a while." He answered with a smile, his eyes twinkling happily when they met hers. Wow. She still had such beautiful eyes. "Did you know green eyes are the second rarest color to have?" He inquired randomly, tilting his head.

"So let's go!" Then she smiled "second rarest? So what's the first?" She grabbed his hand -even with the strong tingles- and pulled him behind her. Her backpack was hanging off her arm while her heavier softball bag was hanging off her shoulders.

Zephyr started following her. "Grey. Steely grey." He answered. "Then green, then hazel or amber, then blue, and lastly brown" He added with a smile as she grabbed his hand, and quickly went along so his arm didn't get dragged out of its socket.

Sophia grinned and threw her stuff in the back of his truck "Ryan drove me today. Looks like you have to take me home" she smirked and eyed the road. "Coffee? Or park? Or both? Or explore? I've done some practice walking so maybe I won't die if we did a trail today"

Zephyr put a hand over his heart. "How horrible, woe to me. Taking you home is just what I didn't want to do." He joked, putting his bags in the back. "I can't wait for the game tomorrow. It'll be at another school this time." He commented cheerfully before walking over to her. "Coffee then park and we can walk at the park. Problem solved. And you didn't die last time! I wouldn't ENTIRELY mind catching you again." He teased with a grin, starting towards the small coffee shop.

"So if I almost fell to my death you would do more than stand there like a bump on a log like before? " she playfully flicked his shoulder. "You should try my cake pop" she grinned and walked toward the road. She noticed no one was near, so she made SURE her hand brushed Zephyrs a few times

"For one, stop it with the morbid death cries! You would probably trip and get dirty while I muffled a snicker. Two, yes, I wouldn't let you fall, and you didn't fall LAST time. There was no need for me to move. If I had moved you would've ate some dirt." He snorted with amusement. "I don't like cake." He answered with a wince, side eyeing her for a moment to see how she would react. Most people pretty much immediately hated him after that. His younger brother, a cake MANIAC, still held a grudge today. However, Zephyr really couldn't think much about that because every time a thought even entered his mind it was forgotten when his hand buzzed, or tickled, or whatever, just showing Sophia had brushed it. When they got to the shop he opened the door, again the show of amazing manners.
