I gave her a reassuring smile, shoulders slumping when she finally shut her eyes. |

Kayla quickly fell asleep |

"Finally," I muttered, glancing over at Malakai as he awoke, making some sort of face as I plopped the bottle in his mouth, the baby quieting almost instantly. |

Kayla shifted slightly in her sleep as a nurse came into the room. "Need anything?" The nurse asked, voice at normal volume |

"No, thank you though." I murmured quietly, Malakai eventually finishing feeding as he drifted back off. |

Kayla woke at the sound of the nurse's voice, her eyes going to Malakai, then Gale |

"It's just the nurse," I assured softly. |

Kayla nodded, still watching them both |

"I just fed him, he should be good for a little while." I assured, brushing a piece of her hair behind her ear. |
