Sage chuckled lightly and patted the girls hand lightly before scooting over a bit so she could sit down and eat. They were back in bed soon enough, wrapped around eachother happily. He fell asleep surprisingly quickly, considering how excited he was for the next day. He was woken up before the sun by the doctor knocking loudly.. letting them both know they'd better get up because they were already late. Sage stirred with a light groan, definitely not ready to get up. He had to though ..they had to get ready. The thought woke him up quite a bit actually....it was his wedding day. He was finally marrying Mari. His stomach suddenly knotted up, and he was suddenly glad he wasn't eating breakfast. Him and Mari were soon enough bustled apart...he wouldn't see the girl until she walked down the isle. He was barely with the doctor as the old man made sure he was scrubbed down pristine and his hair was cut and combed and styled, and his clothes were perfect, and the little arrowhead necklace was polished to a shine, and whatever else...he was just thinking about Mari.

Mari gave a soft groan of complaint when the boy was dragged off, and took a moment to breathe before realising she needed to be awake... it was their wedding! They were getting married... finally, she'd waited so, so long. In another two minutes, about three maids came in to drag her out to the dressing rooms... her dress was there, hung up, and suddenly Maria's heart started to beat at how real this was... how excited. She'd been bathed and scrubbed, and her skin and hair had never been softer by the time they'd done with her. Her nails had been done gorgeously, and she just felt... good. She was so excited to see Sage that evening... she wouldn't get to see him all day. Her hair must have had a brush through it at least a hundred times, and when they'd finished with her, her hair had been plaited back with a few stay hairs around the sides... it was pretty. Or, she hoped Sage thought so. She was thrown into her dress soon enough, too... everything slowly coming together.

Sage wasn't really paying attention to what the doctor was doing to get him ready...he was, in all honesty, just thinking about that afternoon. He really was excited, and he fidgeted all day long, much to the doctor's annoyance. By the time he was done, though, he slid into the bathroom to try and calm down. Well, that was a lie....he was mostly just trying to get a moment to breathe. He liked the old man, but they'd be around a lot of people later, and they'd been busy since before dawn, and he just needed some quiet. He noticed his reflection in the mirror, though, and he had to admit he looked pretty good. He hoped Mari thought so too...he knew she liked his looks anyway, but he wanted her to want him, he supposed. It had been so long since they'd been able to do anything. To mess around with just the two of them. And he did miss it all. His thoughts were broken when the doctor knocked again....it was time to leave. His stomach tightened up again...the nerves were coming on strong now. But he couldn't just sit in the bathroom...he did want this. He wanted it so, so much. So, he sort of just took a deep breath and followed the doctor out to the carriage that they'd ride over in. Mari would come a bit after them, though he wouldn't see her until she came down the makeshift isle. The doctor put up with his fidgeting until they got to the lake, where he directed him to the spot he needed to be at and told him sternly to stay before sitting down in a chair.

Mari had been poked and prodded pretty much the whole day... it was busy, people chatting and squealing... it was very, very loud. But these people had been working hard on her. Her dress was perfect... the green lace on the sides and open back, the slight trail and simple arms. It was a simple dress, but every little detail seemed so, incredibly captivating. So perfect. She'd been adorned with silver jewellery, and over the last few weeks she'd picked up a few little bits and bobs for the normal wedding traditions. Something new, borrowed, blue and of course a penny in your shoe. It was all perfect. She was soon enough hurried off to their destination, though... it was all perfect. She was terrified, her heart was beating at about a hundred miles. She hadn't written any vows... maybe she should have. She had so much she wanted to say to him. How happy he made her, how much fun they had and how she never wanted to spend a moment apart from him. But she wouldn't be able to talk infront if so many people... she was shaking just thinking about it, even if most of those people were her family. She was excited for their honey moon, yes, but she was more excited to spend her life with him... when things are hard, and good, and every little sun and loss... she wanted to be with him for those. She was excited to be with him through those. She got there soon enough, and the few other maids and the rest of her family were there. It was a humble little wedding, but it was perfect for both her and Sage. Anthony had decided he was going to walk her up the isle... and she was more than fine with that. Her brother had practically raised her. It was another ten minutes before she was told to finally appear from the trees and wander down the little velvet rug, though all she could do was stare at Sage. She could hear her heart in her throat, and she was terrified... and excited, and nervous, all at the same time... all she wanted to do was run down the isle, but she reminded herself to stay in line with her brother, her breath already starting to falter.

Sage sort of just stood there for a while, shifting his weight back and forth nervously. He was incredibly excited too, but right then he was the only one there, besides the officiant, and so everyone was watching him. It was a bit unnerving, even if he knew and liked them all. He'd gotten to know Anthony a bit better too, and they'd come around to being alright with each other. Though, when everyone's heads turned to watch for Mari, he felt even more like running off and throwing up behind a bush somewhere. Or in the water...feed the fish if there was anything left in his stomach. The thought was a bit amusing, to say the least. Though, he was watching...waiting...to see Mari. He'd waited for this for so, so long, and it was finally happening. His breath hitched when he saw the girl...she was always pretty, and graceful, but now she seemed to be some kind of angel, floating along the tiny carpet towards him. He was most definitely blushing, but he found he just didn't care...he was too entirely captivated by the sight of the girl. He suddenly felt like nothing could compare to that...had he done enough? Would she be alright with how he looked? His hair was styled, but it was a messy style, and he'd kept the vneck on his shirt so the small arrowhead he always wore still rested in the divot between his collar bones. The few seconds she was walking seemed like an eternity...but soon enough, she was there. She was there, right in front of him, living and breathing and....man, he couldn't even think straight. He barely had enough mental capacity to reach for her hands and entwine his fingers around hers before the officiant started talking.

Mari felt her heart thump louder as she edged closer to the boy... this walk, it felt like ti was miles. She was pretty much hanging off her brother now, using him to keep herself upright. Her legs were shaking, and there was a lump in her throat, and anything she was eating felt like she'd see it again very, very soon. She felt like laughing and crying and all she wanted to do was run at him, get this over with so that they could finally be with one another. She had to focus on Sage... his smile, his suit, or even the bright red blush that was paining his nose. If she looked at anyone else, she might just throw up everywhere soon enough, she'd gotten to the alter, her heart beating faster as she got to him. He was so perfect. So handsome, so kind, and he was about to be hers. God, that made her whole body seem to shake ever more. She was sweating... did he think as much of her as she thought of him? He was so handsome... dressed up, perfect. Her hands shook awfully as she reached to take her hands in his... it was pure nerves and excitement, and all she could do was grin at him. Her blush was heavy against her skin, and all she could do was stare at him as she tried to keep herself calm. Even once their fingers had been entwined, her whole body was shaking, and her breath was still wavouring awfully.

Sage noted the girls shaking hands and breathing with a bit of amusement. So they were both crazy nervous. Wonderful. But, thatw as normal, he thought...no one would judge them, he didn't think. He sort of just stared at Mari's face...she was practically glowing, and he was completely enchanted by it. He was broken out of his thoughts when the officiant urged him to get the rings, and a sort of cheeky smile formed on his face before turning and whistling softly towards the crowd. Only a brief moment later, Amber was trotting towards them, a small pouch with the rings in it, head and tail high as she sauntered up to the alter and sat down at his feet. He reached a hand down to take the pouch from the cat and pat her softly before standing up again. Handling the cat had calmed his nerves down, a bit. Though they soon ramped up again when he was instructed to put the ring on Maris finger. He'd made the rings....he'd spent hours on them, and he did hope she liked it. He'd taken the liberty of using a bit of money to get a small stone to attach to hers...a diamond. He only did it because the honeymoon would be free...so he could get a diamond to attach to the wood. He certainly hoped she liked it.

Mari felt her heart jump a little when she officiant started to talk... it was happening, this was really, really happening. She was so, so excited about it, despite her awful nerves. She sighed softly, a bit of a laugh escaping her when she saw the kitten run from the stands, along with a few other muffled chuckles. She stared at the rings for a few moments, though was a bit caught off guard by the diamonds... when had he done that? It was gorgeous. The ring was so perfect. And we could tell he'd put a lot of work into them... they were so perfect. She could only grin at him. Oh, she was so lucky... to have Sage, to have someone who could put so much love into everything he did... all she could do was grin at him. She took his ring for him, and they were told to repeat vows from the officiant... she should have had something in mind, but she just wanted to get this over and done with. They had the 'I do's' done before she could put his ring on, and soon enough it was his turn to slide hers on. She was so thrilled... her chest was tight, although nervous, all she could was grin at him.

Sage felt his shoulders relax a bit when the audience laughed at the cat...it sort of just reassured him they were having a good time, and we're just there to support them, and have some fun. The girl's face when she saw the rings made his heart practically jump....she was quite obviously thrilled with it all, which was definitely nice to see. He had to tear his eyes away from the glow that seemed to radiate off the girl to say his vows and all the rest. He wasn't really paying attention to what was happening...he just wanted to look at Mari. The ring on his finger felt a bit odd at first, but he was definitely glad to be wearing it. He was also incredibly glad to be able to slide Mari's ring on her finger. Before he knew it, he was instructed to kiss the girl, which admittedly almost made him run away panicking right then and there. This was it. She was his wife. He really just couldn't believe it. But he leaned forward to press his lips against hers happily. He was most definitely shaking....but so was she, and all the emotions were definitely running through the both.

Mari couldn't pull her eyes away from Sage... it was almost as though nobody else was there... just Sage, shining as the dim evening light bounced off him, his bright eyes glowing at her. Her heart just thumped harder against her chest when she felt him slip the ring onto her fingers... it fit absolutely perfectly. It was gorgeous, too... she loved it, and him. She loved everyone here, her family, the doctor, the cat, even the few maids and servants she'd invited to fill seats. When the official said they could kiss, she felt everything fall silent... this was it. Finally, after everything, after Silas, Sage's bad nights and her being shot... they could finally just be... them. Be a couple... husband and wife. Holy fuck, Sage was her husband. Finally. He was hers... really hers now. Her smile grew as he leaned in, and as her heart thumped in her chest, all she could do was lean up to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him in for a slightly deeper kiss. She'd almost forgotten they were in front of other people... she was shaking still, nervous and excited and so, incredibly thrilled... they were married. They were together and she couldn't get over it.
