"I love you," He murmured, pecking her neck.
| |
| |

"I love you too. You're my safe place" she admitted
| |
| |

"I'm glad to hear that," He mused, grinning.
| |
| |

She held him a bit tighter before letting go and leading him to his car. "So... you're not mad I messed with your stuff?"
| |
| |

"Hell no, i've been trying to run it again for years." Caden explained, eyeing the broken glass and whiskey on the ground.
| |
| |

"I'll clean that up, sorry" she said, grabbing a broom and dustpan before sweeping it up and taking care of the mess. She didn't make eye contact with Caden, the little voice in her head telling her the yelling was to come and this was a false sense of security

"Hey no no no no, i'll get it." He promised, taking care of it where she'd let him.
| |
| |

"no, I caused it" she breathed, eyes vacant
| |
| |

"Well it's my mess so, it was my fault." He explained softly, discarding of the trash.
| |
| |

She immediately thought to the glass before it shattered. "Oh, and I can replace it too..." She said quietly, still not looking him in the eye
