"I was really hoping it was us." She locked her gaze onto his. She was stuck. She couldn't get out. Not like she wanted to. She glanced at the teacher and around the room before planting a secret kiss on his lips. She pulled away and blushed, shrinking downward in her chair, grateful that no one saw. "Sorry. I just had to. I missed it... I really did" she wordlessly brushed her pinky finger against his when she reached for the drawing.

Zephyr's brain was su-consciously relieved at that, as he was still worried Sophia was wishing it WASN'T. He melted into the kiss the tiniest bit but did pull away when she did. "Argh stop apologizing, it's hurting my brain. I miss it too..." he said quietly, feeling like a melted puddle. However, he knew for sure- any more of this and they were going to have to deal with the taunting and stares from the other kids. He knew from experience it was a big thing when these highschool kids even got word of a popular person getting involved with another person in any way shape or form. He swore he would look at someone wrong and there'd be rumors. It sucked.

"I'll stop. No more apologies. " after a second she let her intrusive thought in and placed her hand right beside his. Her fingers drummed against the table before quickly takin his hand and bringing it under the table so others couldn't see. She placed his hand on her knee, her fingers still on his. Her skin buzzed at the touch

Zephyr chuckled slightly, glancing at a couple drawings before looking back at her. His skin buzzed and he looked down at their hands before smiling slightly. "I can't wait to see you at lunch and I haven't even left. Is that weird?" He asked with a slight laugh, though it was quiet so he didn't attract any attention.

"Not weird at all" she said softly, giving his hand a slight squeeze.

Zephyr's face flickered with a smile before he looked back at the clock, which announced it was the end of class. He really didn't care. He got a whole nother hour with her. When the bell finally rang he took his bag and stood, glancing at Sophia before walking towards the door and out to the cafeteria.

Sophia kept her hand against his. When he stood, she let his hand fall away. She put all of her stuff in her bag and walked beside him into the lunch room. "I wonder when the teachers are going to open the field for lunch. Last year they had the picnic tables out there that people could sit on" her brain wandered away

Zephyr glanced around before wandering to the far back table where hopefully they wouldn't be stared at the entire time. At Sophia's words he nodded. "Probably soon, I'm guessing." He answered, walking up to get the same meager amount of food before coming back. Almost immediately after he sat down he heard footsteps, and what do you know... Lydia. The girl crossed her arms and all but death glared at Zephyr. "So you're in a relationship with Sophia now, huh? You moved on quite fast. Why'd you LEAVE ME for her!? I'm so much better than her! You single handedly ruined my school life!! I will get you back Zephyrus, just to make YOU suffer as well." Lydia half screeched half snarled, balling her fists before stalking away. Zephyr winced but kept quiet. "I swear she's three years old..." He mumbled, watching her back as she retreated before glancing at Sophia apologetically. "I'm sorry for her.. nothing she said is true." - (Okay, what state are they in? Where even are they? Because all I can think is when I am doing school it's -40 outside and I would NOT want to sit on a picnic table xD)

No clue. You pick. It's currently like 70 something degrees where I am lol) - Sophia gulped as Lydia walked up. "But she's right..." Sophia looked down, a terribly sad look crossing her features. She didn't know why she all of a sudden felt like Lydia was speaking truth. The bright look of her eyes seemed to disappear for a moment.

(Pfft, I dunno. Like, TN or something XD, or Colorado... or Wyoming. I love Wyoming) - Zephyr's gaze snapped to her. "Right about what!?" He asked in a low yet alarmed voice, immediately looking concerned as all the life seemed to drain from her eyes. A stabbing worry prodded at his heart and whispers of what ifs came back quickly. He thought he had gotten rid of them, but he apparently hadn't.
