Regan almost jumped when he commented on how tired she looked... well, yes, she was tired... but she hadn't really expected him to say anything about it. It was so, so rare for that to happen. "I am," she sighed gently. She hummed in response to him. "How embarrassing would it be for you if that wasn't the reason?" She asked with a small chuckle. But, he was right. He could look after himself. "I'm going to worry. Tyler, you didn't want to come here, and I'm so, so grateful that you did, but I'm just worried someone here is going to want to hurt you or poke fun or..." she trailed off before sighing. "You're the first friend I've had in a while, too. I don't want to lose you."

Tyler tipped his head. "I see that, and it would be embarrassing... but I could kind of tell it was me." He said quietly. He listened to what she said, a small smile growing on his face. "Well... if someone tried to make fun of me or hurt me, I would just ignore them. If they went to far they would probably end up on the ground with a broken arm... so you don't have to worry about that. I know I'm your friend and you're mine too... which means I'm not going to give our friendship up if something unusual happens. I do care about you Regan, and I would never hurt you like that... so stop worrying!" Tyler finished with a small chuckle, trying to lighten the mood

Regan rolled her eyes at him after a couple of moments, a laugh escaping her. She knew he could look after himself, and that anyone messing with him wouldn't get away with it lightly, but all the same, she didn't want to drive him away. He already didn't want to be here. If this messing with his father and everyone else kept on happening, it might lead him to leave... and she'd have to let him. She couldn't bare leaving more people. She was a social animal, really, so the idea of walking away from this camp was terrifying... she really didn't think she'd be able to do it.

Tyler slowly tipped his head towards Regan, looking at her. "I'm not leaving the camp, no matter how cruel anyone is to me... okay?" He finally said. Tyler wanted to make it very clear to Regan... he wasn't leaving. Even If he didn't exactly like the camp.. even if everybody hated him... he still wasn't leaving. Tyler glanced at Regan again before swinging down a couple branches, settling himself into the place he always slept.

Regan hummed to him before shaking her head. She believed him... he wouldn't leave. But she was still very cautious that he wasn't happy. She wanted him to be... happy. She watched him hop down the tree, though stayed where she was comfortable... she didn't want to stay with Lily, she wasn't nice to Regan at all.. and Regan didn't have the energy to fight back. But she could stay up here... and if she was lucky, she could catch the sunrise early in the morning.

Tyler tipped his head slightly. -Inguess Regan has now resigned to my way of living.- he thought, stifling a laugh. Tyler did relax a little more at that thought though.... in the tree, nothing could hurt her, and if anything tried... he was right there. Tylermclosed his eyes and fell asleep quicker than he usually did, content Regan would be safe and comfortable.

The girl stayed awake a little bit longer, watching the moon slowly rise. She did eventually drift off... but she was really very cold. She slept though, until early morning when the sun had started to shine brightly in her eyes... it hurt, but she felt more than lucky to be able to see the sunrise.

At least Tyler HOPED Regan was comfortable... he shook that thought out of his mind as he woke up. The sun was just starting to rise, so he climbed up quickly to sit beside Regan. "How did you sleep?" Tyler asked, watching the blacks slowly turn into oranges, pinks, reds, and blues.

Regan was a bit sleepy when the boy appeared, but gave a slight smile. She'd actually slept very well... it'd just been cold for her. But the sun was starting to warm her up now. It was actually very nice. "Alright, actually... I felt a lot safer than I do down there," she mused softly to him before stretching ever so slightly. She was comfortable, and she had felt a bit better having him closer to her.

Tyler glanced at her. He could have guessed she was cold. "You do know blankets in a tree work the same way as blankets on the ground, right?" Tyler asked with a smile, turning his gaze back to the sunset. "That's really good that you feel safer... that is the main point of sleeping in the tree." Tyler chuckled slightly, running a hand through his hair.
