She had just sorted the children into groups of four for each horse, after showing them the brushes and how to use them. She had skittered away from Ethan as far and fast as she possibly could and hadnt so much as looked at him so far. She walked about and monitered their progress quietly, avoiding him.

Ethan had four kids and a horse of his own, varying ages, the older kids were getting to the higher points of the horse but one of the younger boys wasn't sure what to do, he glance at Asta before he knelt down to help him. Eventually he picked up the kid with his brush and showed him how to brush the horse's back, talking very quietly since he and Asta were still not on good terms.

She walked toward a younger child who was having trouble with the hoof pick, helping her fix her grip. She held her hand under the girl's, letting her pick out the hoof. That was, until, the hoof pick tumbled from the girls grasp and the sharpest part slid down the inner of Asta's palm, cutting the entire width of her hand. She barely winced and picked up the hoof pick, hiding her hand so the girl wouldnt see just how badly it cut her. With a quick reassurance, she walked off to the side, looking closely at the long, medium depth cut while red dripped into the dusty aisle. Edited at March 14, 2023 07:22 PM by Widow Valley Farms

Ethan turned around at the sound of metal clanking on the floor behind him with the kid still on his hip. Pro mom hold. It was loud enough to surprise him because of how quiet it is there. He noticed the blood falling from her hand. He murmured something to the boy and put him down. He nudged the older of the kids, telling him to get Rome. He walked over to Asta and spoke in a low tone. "Do you want help?" Edited at March 14, 2023 11:09 PM by Prismatic Cove

She glanced up and looked away quickly. "Ill be fine, ive had much worse." She kicked dirt over the red stain. "Its fine, it isnt that big a deal. Ill need to fix this hoof pick though." She looked at the sharp edge, stained crimson by her hand. She clenched her cut hand into fix, as though that would help stop the bleeding, refusing to wince.

He narrowed his eyes. "You can't with an open wound in your hand." He put a hand on her shoulder, turning her so he could grab her hand. He opened her hand. He looked at it for a moment. He glanced around before wiping off his cleaner hand on his pants and putting his hand on her wound to keep pressure on it. "Rome can help, she can stitch." He said absently, not looking up at her, his tone calm. Edited at March 14, 2023 11:11 PM by Prismatic Cove

"I cant-" Her vouce went abnormally high before she cleared it. "Uhm, no. No, I dont want stitches." She shook her head, staring at him fearfully. One plus, her fear kept her from yanking her hand away. "Its fine, ill bandage it but we should just, uhm, finish here and then be done and I can go handle it. Its not important, its not-"

He smiled a bit and rolled his shoulders back a bit. "You need stitches." He gazed at her face, seeing the fear. "Its important. Its quite important. Someone else can fix it." He looked down at her hand, his were sandwiching hers. Blood was still dripping, over his as well. Rome walked in with the kid at her heels.

"No, no, You dont get it." She lowered her voice as Rome approached, so only he could hear. "I really, REALLY dont want stitches. I cant- I just- I dont like it. Please. Please dont make me get stitches." She whispered, surprisingly afraid of a little needle and thread. She was completely genuine, staring at him with wide, panicky eyes while her uncut hand laid on top of his.

He stared in her eyes with a neutral expression. "You're afraid of needles?" He said quietly in a calm tone. Rome came up behind them. "What? What do you need? I was about to fly with Iphtahel." Her eyes narrowed. Ethan gently moved so she could see. "Oh." She pursed her lips, staring at it for a moment. "So, thoughts on stitches? That is the quickest way to heal this." She didn't want to scare the kids either.
