Lorelei grew more and more uncomfortable as Kais hand found her cheek and then his body sandwiching her in, and then his hand on her leg. Just because she was trying to trust him to protect her, didn't mean she wanted him touching her. She closed her eyes as the fighting and killing started. She refrained from making a sound, but she was terrified. She hated killing and death. Lorelei was shaking as she finally heard him come back to her. She peaked at him. He was a mess. Blood everywhere, a knife in his arm. "... you have a knife..." she squeaked, pointing to his arm.

"I know but I wanted to make sure you're okay first. You are, right?" He asked, his eyes flashing with worry. She didn't have blood on her- not besides the little bit on her pantleg -and she seemed only a bit rattled. Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth, he pulled the pocketknife from his bicep. He tossed it to the side, wincing at the movement. "And besides, I told you i'd do anything for you"

Lorelei nodded, "...yeah I'm okay..." she murmured. She winced as he pulled the knife out of his arm. "...Youre gonna need stitches, do you have a first aid kit?"

"In my car...I assume you want me to leave you alone now, huh?" He said softly, not meeting her eyes. "C'mon. We should leave before it gets too obvious we're here." He muttered, not touching her as he walked to his car and began attempting to stitch his arm with one hand

Lorelei got into the car, watching him stitch himself up. She flicked his hands away and began to do it herself. His stitches had been messy and she knew she could do much better, so she did so.

"Thank you" He whispered, staying still

Lorelei finished, giving him back the needle and thread. "Youre welcome," she said quietly.

Kai wanted to say he'd see her tomorrow, but she likely already knew that much. "Goodnight" He said softly, cupping her cheek for a moment before driving off

Lorelei got uncomfortable when he touched her, it was annoying, really. She didnt respond to his goodnight. Instead she ran inside and locked her doors. That night, she fell asleep thinking of Kai.

Kai didn't sleep, instead driving to Lorelei's house and killing the engine before sitting in her driveway. He waited and waited, not able to sleep without knowing she was safe and okay
