I think drama on HEE gets a little wild sometimes. I remember a person who would gift stuff to people to the point it made others uncomfortable. And then later ask for favors. I remember asking them to stop sending me stuff and they just laughed about it and then came to me for favors later.

Neveah

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

She did not move an inch as she observed him unlock the cell door and place the plate and glass within the confines of the cell, a slight hint of amusement in her gaze as she noticed how quickly he had locked it again. Truth be told, his behavior was to be expected, especially around someone as renowned as her; if she was certain she was able to defeat him and escape without any altercations, she would have genuinely considered attacking him, but that was not reality. Neveah shifted her gaze onto the food before she walked forward and picked it up, leaving the glass of milk on the floor for now.

``I`m just sorry it`s not much.``

Those were the words that truly dragged her attention back to Aurelius, her eyes widening slightly as she met his own. Had he just apologized for not having a sufficient amount of food? Of course, it was the apparent fact that he had apologized that was bewildering her; vampires never apologized, instead they mocked and resorted to ridiculing since it seemed to be their favorite hobby. Neveah composed herself rather quickly and focused on the food he had given her, replying bluntly to the words ensuing his pause, ``I`m not surprised.``

She was a slow eater at heart, so she took her time with the few slices of bread he had given her, occasionally glancing over at him. Neveah could tell that the gears were turning within his head, as if he were making presumptions regarding her current state of mind and what she was plotting. After a few minutes, she finished the bread and returned the plate to where it had been originally, deciding to drink the milk once she was certain there was no longer a need to speak. Briefly, she looked him over and took note of his attire and came to the conclusion that he had probably been on one of those patrols.. the same kind that had led to them meeting and her imprisonment.

``What is your name?``

Once again, he had spoken to her and had even went to the lengths of asking a question out of curiosity. It made her believe for a second that he may genuinely be curious regarding who she was and why precisely she had committed to being a hunter, which were both things that she would never tell the absolute truth about; those were far too personal, things that were meant to be known by her and only her. However, she was always more than willing to provide her name, especially due to the reactions she usually earned because of it; it was always so.. amusing and almost ego-fueling, but only if they recognized it.

``Neveah,`` she replied to his question as her gaze traveled back to his own, folding her arms across her chest. There were a plethora of acts that were associated with that name, ranging from twisted ideas that had become reality to the destruction of multiple covens. Were they things she was proud of? Yes, but her mind constantly fought against her emotions, warning her that she was already crossing far too many lines. She had heard from a veteran hunter years ago that the only thing that could kill a monster was another monster, a saying that she agreed with wholeheartedly.

"Neveah" He repeated, every letter, every syllable he played with on his tongue.

He watched her eat. He was fascinated by the action of consuming something so... tangiable.

Aurelius ran the name through his head, he had indeed heard of her. The name sounding through the stories of multiple covens being destroyed. He wanted to ask her more but he could hear the house locking down for the daytime. He should probably go and get some rest. It was only a matter of time before Carmilla came searching, possibly to taunt him.

Without another word, he turned on his heels and left, the boots clacking on the cobbled floor. He left the plate and glass with her. He would collect it next time he needed to open the cell but he wasn't going to be foolish enough to try twice in one night.

He headed through the doors that kept her secure in the back part of the manor. He made a mental note to tell his team down at the armoury to make sure they had fresh food in the kitchen everyday. He wasn't sure how long this would be going on for but nevertheless, he didn't want his prize to go hungry and starve to death on him.

Aurelius walked under the glow of the dim lit hallway lights as he headed back to the armoury, the key safe with them, just encase Carmilla came snooping. He didn't want her to know about the hunter just yet. He had a sneaky suspicion and wanted to hear it from her first.

Once he'd dropped the key safely in the hands of the guard at the armoury, he finally headed towards his bedchambers. He pushed the door open quietly, scanning the room. Empty. Carmilla must have still been with his mother. He moved inside the dimly lit room and headed to where the window shutters kept out the sun, a chaise lounge rested beneath it.

He removed his shirt, the cool chill of the room pricking his skin. His undead skin. He was always intrigued at the way his body reacted to things. He'd studied humans and they reacted differently to him, having been born a vampire.

He sat and positioned himself on the chaise lounge, resting. His mind awake with Carmilla's appearance, the name the huntress had given him. The smell of them both mixed upon his senses. He closed his eyes slowly, drawing in a breath.

All that was left to do was wait for Carmilla's appearance, to which he knew she was desperate to see him, to spend time with him. What he wanted to know was why? After all this time. The coven she had joined, now seemingly all dead. It couldn't be a coincedence. Nevertheless, he intended to find out.

For now, he let his mind try to find the quiet in the stillness of the room.

Neveah

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

Neveah watched with utmost curiosity as he tested her name on his tongue, as if he were engraving it within his seemingly endless memory that was often associated with his kind; she almost found it comical to watch, especially with how attentive he had been to the way she had pronounced it. She raised a brow as she spectated him turn and leave without another word, curious as to why he had decided to leave in such a manner; she probably should not care as much as she did, but she was still curious. Was Aurelius usually appearing then disappearing mere seconds after? Of course, he was a royal, so he was probably busy, nothing more and nothing less.

With a small sigh, she leaned over to grab the milk and drink it, swallowing slowly to avoid choking on the cool liquid. She placed it down beside the empty plate before she turned on her heels and retreated to retreated to the corner that was practically her home now. It was depressing, but it was the truth. Neveah curled up in the small, cold corner, tucking her knees against her chest once again. Honestly, she could get used to this despite how boring and unamusing it all was; she could have been out in the world tending to her duties as a vampire hunter, yet here she was.

It was then that it dawned upon her that the ongoing operation in the city was now leaderless, especially since the sanctuary she had occupied was the one that held its leaders. Imogen, surprisingly, had risen enough to be considered one despite her constant fear, Renier had been a leader for different operations that were nearly successful, and Damian.. Well, she did not know a lot about him other than the fact that he was the most serious. Neveah found herself wondering what was going on in the world of vampire hunters and the possibilities were endless. They could be completely clueless regarding the death of Imogen and the imprisonment of her and the others, who were unfortunately transformed into mindless blood banks. She frowned at the thought of the chaos that could possibly be unfolding right now.

Neveah sighed and closed her weary eyes, tucking her chin against her knees as she tried to relax. Since she was not out there and able to assist, there was no reason for her to be fretting over it; she had never worried about anyone or anything until now, an indication of a change of heart or perhaps acknowledgement that the threat they were facing was far larger than she had ever expected. It was impossible- truly impossible- for the current number of hunters in the city to obliterate this coven; there was only forty, which was now thirty-four, and victory could only truly be achieved if they used those unfair tactics. The gas, the trapping and luring, maybe even the blood poisoning that she had heard the council mention, something she was surprised she had never heard of before.

Aurelius had found himself locked in into his next book, the more modern and current events of vampire hunters, looking for any traces of the name Neveah had given him.

The room was brighter now, so he could study the text beneath him, turning the delicate pages in between his fingers.

He looked up when he heard the door click. Carmille had slipped through the door now. Her face fresh, her cheeks a rosy pink, her crimson hair cascaded into a waterfall of curls over her plump breasts. His eyes widened, placing the book down carefully. She was dressed in a pink robe, his mother's. He grimaced, the sight her, naked under the sheer pink fabric, the ends of the sleeves and the hem frilled with fluffy pink fur.

He sat upright, his chest still exposed, his breath hitched. The sight of her.

Carmilla closed the gap, stalking like a predator would her prey. Aurelius muttered curse words in his head, watching her every move. The weeping girl nowhere to be found as she crossed the lushious cream carpets to meet him.

"I thought I would come and see you" Carmilla said, her tone light and overly sweet. Aurelius watched as her perfect breasts bounced in her light walk.

"Why?" Aurelius found himself bite out, he narrowed his gaze. "We broke up remember" He gritted his teeth, yet somehow her body did seem enticing. He told himself to get a grip. This is exactly what she wanted, her green eyes twinkling at him.

"Oh... I'm sorry about that" She said even softer than before. "I didn't mean to" She brought a finger to her lips, kissing it, placing it in her mouth seductively. Aurelius watched her, his gaze never leaving hers, as she strutted about before him. She went to stoop down in front of him.

"Get out" Aurelius said so quietly it was barely audible. "GET OUT!" He screamed in her face, his face contorted with anger, his whole demeanour darkened at her feable attempt to impress him, to turn him, to want him.

Carmilla stuttered and almost stumbled, rising to her feet and headed towards the door, her face hurt, laced with confusion. She slipped out not to be seen again for the rest of the day. He was grateful.

He ran his fingers through his hair and headed out of his room to the armoury. He found Seb doing his usual work up with the weapons. "Seb, I need you to do me another favour" Seb nodded looking at his prince. "I need you to go to the coven Carmilla had come from and look into the security footage to see what has wiped them out. It can't be a coincedence she was the only one that had survived" He said his tone authoritive now. "Yes of course, do you want to come with?" Seb asked. "No, I best stay here encase she figures out what we are up to. Besides, someone needs to feed the hunter" He shrugged, a light amusement in his tone. "Great, we shall report back in the morning".

And with that, they set to work, the manor opening up again for the night.

(I promise she will be let out soon xD)

Neveah

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

Neveah remained consumed by her thoughts, not caring enough to focus on her current surroundings. If something were to happen, her keen ears would alert her anyways; the only thing other than her thoughts that were keeping her company were the brief flourishes of frigid wind that would cause her to shiver slightly. She tried to compose her thoughts, the ones revolving around what could potentially be unfolding outside. Based on the sounds and voices she had heard, it seemed like there was nothing major unfolding, so maybe the hunters in the city were still oblivious to what had happened. Although she would appreciate being freed, there was a sort of calm that she had never experienced before. It was like she did not have to constantly worry about her next moves and whether or not she would live to see the next day.

Mere seconds before she was going to open her eyes, she heard a small commotion, perhaps an indication that it was night once again. She lifted her chin and gazed through the bars of the cell, narrowing her azure eyes at the door that led to where she was imprisoned. A small sigh of annoyance left her as she shifted in the corner, trying to get into a more comfortable position as another cold breeze washed over her. For a moment, she was curious regarding how vampires functioned during the day within the manor. Was there a routine they followed? Maybe they simply lounged in their rooms all day? The possibilities were endless, but she figured she would never know such things, especially at this rate.

(No worries! She`s chilling, xD)

Aurelius was grateful he didn't have to see Carmilla again, despite the endless meetings he'd seemed to be pulled into that evening. He leant in his chair, his head leaning on his hand, the pure boredom almost keeling his head from his neck as it rolled to forward to fall off his arm he'd braced to support his head.

The night patrol with Seb and his men were carrying out his task.

He sat staring at the clock they had. A light huff of humour eurpted from his lips at the humans concept of time.

It really did feel like an eternity tonight, what with Carmilla, the night patrol conducting a sensitive, urgent mission and the hunter requiring more food.

Once he was free, he found himself in the kitchen. One of his men had got eggs today. So he boiled some for the hunter. Placing chopped up boiled eggs, butter bread on to a plate. A glass of milk accompanied it.

He turned to leave when he saw a figure standing in the doorway. The glowing red of Carmilla's hair under the fluorescent of the kitchen. He groaned, placing the plate and glass back down on the side, preparing himself for the barrage of questions. At least she was decently dressed this time but hot leather trousers a white top, too causal for this coven.

Aurelius watched Carmilla's gaze flick straight to the food that he set down. A smirk creeped on her face. "Whatcha doing?" She said playfully, her green eyes twinkling at him with mischief.

"None of your business" He bit out, he knew he couldn't shake her now for it would just draw her attention to the hunter regardless of what he did.

"Food? But there aren't any humans here are there?" She eyed him, leaning on the door frame on the enterway of the kitchen.

Aurelius didn't know how to answer this. He was stuck. He would have to show her and hope that she didn't do anything stupid.

"Yes...Actually. I have a prize in my possession. A hunter" Carmilla's eyes narrowed, as Aurelius picked up the plate of food and the glass of milk.

Luckily he already had the key hidden in his tunic from visiting the armoury before Seb had left for the night.

Aurelius stepped forward, waiting for Carmilla to move, to let him pass and for her to follow.

She moved out of his way, and followed him to the cell where the hunteress was kept.

--

Aurelius stopped in front of the cell, plate and glass in hand. Carmille squealed next to him in excitement, her shrill piercing right through him. His face conveyed annoyance at her, his secret to try and keep the huntress safe was not a secret anymore.

"I brought food" Aurelius said his tone bored. He handed it to Carmille to hold so he could unlock the door. He opened it and took the plate and glass and set it down on the cold floor. He retrieved the empty plates from earlier that day.

"You didn't tell me she was a woman" She huffed, an annoyance in her tone "So why not just make her into a blood bag?" Carmilla eyes up the huntress that was captive before her.

Aurelius closed the cell door quickly, not because he had started to trust the little routine him and Neveah had but to protect her from Carmilla.

He turned to lead the way out, he didn't want to stay any longer than was necessary. "Because nobody ordered it" Aurelius muttered but she still heard him.

They left promptly leaving the huntress alone once more.

Neveah

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

Neveah`s head rose at the sound of the door knob twisting along with the familiar footsteps that signaled it was Aurelius approaching, but there was a secondary pair of footsteps. She frowned at the prospect of there being a different vampire present, yet there was no point in being upset regarding it; it was out of her control. A brief exhale left her as she hoisted herself to her feet and walked a few steps forward, craning her neck to see who was accompanying him. Truth be told, she did not expect to see what she saw: a female vampire that radiated a vain, pompous attitude, maybe with a hint of seductiveness here and there. All Neveah knew at that precise moment with all certainty was that she despised this vampire, which was precisely why she did not hesitate to glare daggers at her.

She barely paid attention to the words that Aurelius spoke along with what he was doing, focusing on the stranger. Out of all the vampires she hated dealing with the most, this unfamiliar one was definitely one of them; their egos were usually massive and, beneath their innocent, sheepish facades, there was almost always a monster shimmering and festering beneath the surface. Neveah glanced towards Aurelius and made a mental note that he seemed extremely agitated and unamused by the female vampires presence; she felt almost relieved to know that some of her presumptions were probably correct. She had been on the verge of saying thanks to him, but she was beaten to it when the female spoke, her voice unamused and a tad taunting.

Blood bag. Those words- whether they be said in that form or as blood bank- always ignited something deep within her, specifically the hatred she had always felt towards vampires. She bit her tongue rather harshly, nearly drawing blood as her azure eyes narrowed into icy slits. Within the span of seconds, this female had managed to earn herself a spot on her to-be-killed list. If anyone, even if it was Aurelius himself, threatened to make her a blood bank, it would have been more than enough for her to fabricate a plan in mere seconds to kill them in the most horrid way imaginable. She would definitely start off with de-fanging, knowing precisely how torturous it was to endure losing their primary method of getting blood; starvation would follow that, and maybe some teasing with small drops of blood.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she realized they were leaving, leading to her taking a few steps back again. She glanced at the food he had prepared for her and she felt a little better to see that he had managed to get her something other than bread. However, the mere words of the vampire had been more than enough of a reason to lose her appetite. She would eat it eventually, but not now. With a long sigh, she retreated back to her corner and sat down, glaring silently at the cell door.

Unfortunately for Aurelius, now his little secret was out regarding the huntress, he found himself with Carmilla following him around like a little shadow.

The rest of the night consisted of her making little remarks towards Neveah. Aurelius could feel his blood boiling. He growled at her to shut up before he did something they would both regret. Alas, she ignored him and continued.

By the end of the night, Aurelius walked towards his bedchamber, the house locking down once more for the daytime. Carmilla very obviously in tow. He turned to the door, slipping through, abruptly closing it in her face and locking it.

He took a deep breath. She had been suffocating him all night. Her high-pitched shrilling voice going right through him at every opportunity. He wondered how long she would stay. If not forever since she didn't have a coven of her own.

He sighed, walking across to the chaise lounge, but not before he heard her grunt a very loud audible sigh of displeasure of him locking her out. Even her footsteps could be heard as she wandered back down the hallway, her heels clicking on the tile floor.

Aurelius settled into his daytime routine. He knew he would have to see the night patrol at some point to find out what they knew. He lay back on the chaise lounge, his mind still heavy - another night of what seemed like pitiful royal duties.

Baby sitting Carmilla was his least favourite thing to do. He definitely wanted to keep her at a distance and not let her weasel her way back into his life.

After a few hours, he rose, heading the door, using his supernatural hearing to listen for her. He gingerly opened the door, looking up and down the hallway before stepping out.

He quickly and quietly, with each light footstep, headed towards the armoury.

Seb turned to greet him, after taking a weapon from one of his men to be turned to the stores. "How did it go?" Aurelius followed him into the labyrinth of guns, weapons and other nicities. Seb placed the gun back into its holder. He turned to face him, his expression bleak.

Seb said nothing before leading them to another room with computers. He whipped out a USB stick from his tunic and plugged it in. There was a slight whirr from the machines as it uploaded the files, Seb moving the mouse to hover over them. He clicked one open and pushed play.

Aurelius leaned in and gasped. The familiar red flash of hair on the screen was the very evidence he seeked.

After a few moments of looking at footage, Seb and Auri exchanged a look before he began to speak "Thank you. I will handle this" He said his tone flat. He turned on his heel and left.

Neveah

⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆

After what felt like hours, Neveah mustered the strength to hoist herself to her feet again and wander over towards the abandoned plate of food. She glanced around the room that had her prison cell before she settled into a seated position again, beginning to finally eat her food. Truth be told, she started to wonder who the female vampire was and what her relationship with Aurelius was as well. Based on what she had seen, they were certainly not friends, but it seemed like they had a relationship of some kind.

Neveah sighed when she realized she was being a tad too curious regarding the royal Once she finished eating and drinking, she shuffled backwards to retreat back into the corner that she had been curled up in for the past few days. She closed her eyes and followed the routine she had built, tucking her knees against her chest.

The next night Aurelius found himself stuck with the council members, he drummed his fingers on the black polished table which earned him a seething look from one of the elders. He looked around noticing a few of the chairs empty. His mother's and another that he didn't know why it was there.

He sighed inwardly and sat up straight. The topic had turned back to trying to provide support to covens but that wasn't going to work given that blood seemed to be in short supply.

It was then that door opened. His mother floated in gallantly and shortly behind her, Carmilla. He rolled his eyes, watching Carmilla's every move. He didn't see a reason for her to be here. He opened his mouth to protest but Carmilla and his mother stopped in the middle of the table to the side of their seats, waiting to be seated. The doors closed and that's when Carmilla opened her mouth to speak.

"I have a solution I wish to present you all" She said a certain calm to her voice. She had folded her arms over, her sleeves of her white tunic she was wearing, bunched together. Aurelius narrowed his eyes.

One of the council members ordered her to speak. "I have been watching these last few days" She paused. Aurelius gripped the arms of his chair, his nails clawing the wood. "Your blood supply could be easily solved" The silence was deafening until another council member ushered her to continue.

"It was easier if took control of the entire east coast, the humans as well, we could round them up and breed them ourselves" Everyone looked at her like she was crazy. Aurelius chuckled and other members joined in, full on bursting out laughing at her crazy idea.

"And just how do you intend for us to do that? Humans outnumber us a hundred, if not one thousand to one of us" He sneered. Aurelius eyed her up.

She continued speaking but as she spoke, the council members became unruly. It was then Aurelius interrupted. "I think the council has spoken" He smirked eyeing her. "Not to mention, you don't belong in council meetings" He bit out. A few of the others nodded in agreement. "But we could have all the blood supply with need" His mother spoke softly.

Aurelius glared at her. "You side with this! Unbelievable. You're beginning to sound like the rogue vampire in the legend" He spoke, his voice bitter.

His mother's eyes blazed into his. His father stood from his chair. "Seraphina, give up this nonsense" He spoke to her. A smile played across Carmilla's lips.

"Why should we dote, thousands of us to be slaughtered and expose ourselves further to the humans, we've been trying to unwrite the damage done five hundred years ago" The elder council member said.

Carmilla's fcae dropped. A blade appeared from her sleeve. Aurelius saw the silver gild in the dim light. She quickly moved and swung her arm around his mother's throat. She screamed, as Carmilla struggled to hold her. Everyone erupted from their chairs, words were begging for Carmilla to put the blade down, other's moved to allow the guards to try to get closer but every chance they did, Carmilla backed away to the door, his mother in her grip.

A trickle of blood appeared as she pressed down. "I always knew you wanted power Carmilla but this..." Aurelius waved his hand, his mother's eyes wide with fear.

"You don't know what you're talking about" Carmilla seethed. "It's apparent to me you have no vision".

"Oh and is that why you killed single member of your coven" The room fell silent.

Carmilla grinned a sadastic smile and slowly drew the blade across his mother's throat. She gagged as she choked on her own blood her hands rushing up to stop it rushing out. "Noooo...." His father disappeared from his side to catch her as she collasped to the floor, dying in his arms.

The other council members froze. Aurelius looked up from where his mother had collasped. He ran to herside, holding her hand as she breathed her final breath, tears welling in his eyes. He didn't know Carmilla would do this. He looked up for her, but the door had already swung open and she had disappeared.

Security erupted through the doors but they were already too late.

A few hours later, Aurelius was found in the foyer, the council members standing around as men cleaned up, his father nowhere in sight.

Aurelius spun to the council members as he heard them plotting. "It's illegal to kill a vampire, especially from your own coven. It was clear to me that all she wanted was power" He paused, his gaze solemn. "I've failed you. We took her in because we knew her, but the signs where all there". Aurelius hung his head.

The eldest council member stepped forward to console him, patting him on the shoulder. "It wasn't your fault and your a great leader. She will pay for her crimes".

Aurelius looked up, anger flashing in his gaze. "Set the huntress free" He spoke softly. They all turned to look at him in shock.

"There is no-one better for the job, it would keep our hands clean" Aurelius started to sound desperate in his anger and he didn't expect any of them to agree with him. He expected to be dismissed, to start planning a funeral for the lady of the coven. His mother.

Tears welled in his eyes. The eldest council member simply nodded.

A few hours later, Aurelius and Seb appeared in front of Neveah, with words he'd never thought he'd say.

"We need your help" His eyes twinkled. His gaze unrelenting, full of anger.
