The officers took in the man before them. Looking him up and down and then looking at the supposed halloween decorations. In the mist of their distraction, I crossed the road, glancing back only once. I thought about heading back into my apartment but I didn't want to get trapped in there again, so this time I disappeared down an alleyway, threading myself in amongst the people as quickly as possible. My heart beat sounding in my ears. A few strands of my golden hair flew loose, as I tucked them behind my ear as I kept glancing over my shoulder. I looked at my watched taking in the time. I also set the tracker on my watch to trace my steps encase he caught up with me, having not fully understood his capability. Monday 10.30am I look up around me, wondering where to head next. The police station? I head in that general direction, the more people the better. The police station came into view, a wave of relief washing over me.

"Where you think your going?" A voice purred by her ear, how had he caught up to her so fast? He stepped in stride beside her, wiping blood from his maw with the back of his hand. "Thought you could escape me? Hm?" Rowan mused as he looked down at the woman, holding himself back from simply trying to crowd her to the nearest wall and make her behave and stop trying to run from his grasp. Yet he held back, shaking his head to himself, he liked the challenge anyway, he always did, he liked the thrill, adrenaline and excitement that came with it. He yourned for a challenge and now he got one, but he almost wished for easier prey. --- His fingertips ghosted around her wrist and the back of her hand. "So where you headed, hm? That police station? I don't think so," He practically sang with a grin.

My blood ran cold at the familiar voice at my ear. My gaze widened. How? I felt his presence linger. The hair of my skin raising now. I study him, the blood he wiped from his mouth "What did you do to them?" I ask my voice shaking slightly. I felt the pressure of his presence trying to steer me away from the crowd. I shake my head, the blonde strands coming loose from behind my ears. -- I turn to him now. "Away from you" I bite out. Looking around, someone looking at me now, with a frown. Another man paused for a second and leaned into both of us "Excuse miss? Is this man bothering you" He said gruffly. I look at the vampire, raising my eyebrow. Don't you dare. I scream in my mind. Not another person.

Rowan huffed a small smile on his face. "I didn't kill them," he whispered to her. "They might just be delirious for the next few hours, but they are still alive, and still human, let's just say.... They're going to be like a moth to a flame though, to me," He hummed softly into her ear with a cocky smile. His fingers slowly tried to slip between hers. He almost wanted to laugh at how she bit out the words to him but his attention was drawn to the man and he straightened up his posture. "We are fine," He started with a sincere tone of voice. "My cousin was just showing me around, and is probably tired of my antics," He gave a fake apologetic smile to both the man and woman, a twinkle in his eye told him he would do something to the man if she didn't play along to his game.

I breathed a sigh of relief, but wondered where the blood had come from. I studied him. I looked down, realising this was hopeless as he spoke. He was a good liar if any, as he spoke to the strangers now pay atttenion to us. I took notice of his hand trying to lace mine, the coolness of his skin, as he reached and took hold, the firm grip implying I should play along with his little game. A mouse caught in a trap. I look back at him, the gleam in his eyes told me everything I needed to know. I smile apologetically at the stranger's who cared for my welfare. "Yes, sorry, we're fine" I nodded and stepped closer to the vampire as they walked off. Waves of strangers walking around us. My hand laced in his. I looked up at him, he was pulling me once more into the shadows. I looked around, feeling helpless and trapped. Am I his next meal as promised? My thoughts raced, my lungs burned, I just wanted to scream...

Rowan blinked calmly down at her as he led her into the shadows quickly, his eyes still warily scanning each one, in fear of finding that one shadow might lead to my demise and hers, or either. His hold on her hand tightened once. "You going to make this easy or do you want to ensure you die today?" He hummed into her ear. His heart beated loudly in his ears but he ignored the uncomfortable sensation. His other hand reached up and delicately grabbed her chin, forcing her head up slightly. His pupils were back to normal but they had started to expand ever so slowly again.

I looked at him. The shadows now consuming us. Away from the crowds. I swallowed. I obeyed as his hand tightened on mine. There was no way that I was going to get killed off so easily by a vampire. And then... the unthinkable happened. He closed the distance between us. His cool touch at my chin, lifting my head to look into his gaze. His blue eyes mesmerising as they looked down into mine. I took in his beautiful features. My breath caught in my throat, my heart pounding. Was this it? Was he going to kill me right here, right now? Is this how all vampire's lured their prey? As his eyes twinkled in the shadows, my thoughts calmed but I couldn't help the unease in my stomach.

Rowan's head tilted as he leaned in closer, his breath easing over her face as he calmed himself down from his riled state before speaking. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions.... I'll answer them and not kill you, yet," he paused taking another deep breath, his voice turned a tiny bit husky, almost sultry as his grip on her chin tightened. "But you'll come willingly, maybe even like it, if you let yourself feel that, without question until we get there," he purred, using his abilities a bit extra then usual now that he had assessed the situation.

My mind settled further, the pit growing in my stomach. My breathing stopped completely as he leaned in further. I stayed utterly still as he narrowed in on me, with a wall at my back, its coldness, a similiar temperature to the touch that still remains at my chin. I swallowed as his grip tightened, my gaze never leaving his. My body feeling like its lost all control, all control of my senses. With all of this, I felt my body pull towards him, as if he were somehow controlling it. My eyes the only source of my conviction, I looked at him, my gaze softening as I obeyed.

A subtle grin pulled at his features. Slowly his hand pulled from her chin and he gave a singular squeeze of the hand within his. Calmly he pulled back from crowding her against the wall, moving back toward the apartment but way before it came in sight he turned down another street, a small grimace on his face. "It'll be a bit harder, avoiding those officers," he muttered softly. "I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow found out how to track me yet, even in their delirium," he huffed to himself as he continued to walk at a pace that was comfortable for her. He glanced around warily. His body unusually tense.
