Eris took the scroll and pen hesitantly, looking from the materials to him and back again. She slowly, tentatively started writing out clothing that she would need- along with sizes. She didn't know how sizes worked in the Elven world- if they were different than those in Greenbriar- so she put most in the common measurement. She kept an eye on him most of the time She was writing, finishing her neat, loopy list in silence. She placed it beside her and peered at him through the corner of her eye, brows furrowed like he was very confusing. He was being far too hospitable.

It felt like every time the elf gazed back, she was suspiciously staring at him, squinty-eyed. He was getting more an more confused and concerned every time he caught this creepy observation. With the final stare as she put the list down, he gave her one back. "Would you quit looking at me like that?" He questioned, his tone ruining the whole respectful part. He glanced over the ink, not really reading, taking in her good penmanship. He wasn't sure if he could honestly. Was it a woman thing or a fae thing? Plenty of the men in his troop had handwriting worse than his own. Even some of the women. Maybe its a fae thing. He didn't know. He'd worry about that later, putting it in his bag.

There it was- the snap on the end of the hospitality. Eris gave him another narrow-eyed glare that made it seem remarkably like She was both sizing him up and insulting him in her mind at once. Mostly to piss him off, because it bothered him to begin with. "What look?" She asked innocently, schooling her face into neutrality, blinking up at him with a hint of doe eyes. It would've worked, minus the whole predatory gleam in her yellow eyes. Oh, she was gonna bother the piss out of this elf. She watched him as he looked over her writing, tilting her head at the extended observation. Her eyes followed his hands as he tucked the list away, gently swinging her legs over the side of the bed. "I want my weapons back. Sheathes, too. And my combat jacket." She stated, half-glaring at him as she awaited a response.

Kin's eye twitched, an attempt to hold in this stream of curses wanting to flow. Which mellowed out when he remembered the length of his day today. Freaking horses. "I'll see what I can do." He replied to her. Retrievign confiscated items wouldn't be easy not to to mention it would probably end up being a big deal. He didn't sleep well enough for this, he let his head hang. "Don't forget to figure out how to walk while I'm fetching you things." He muttered sarcastically, moving toward the door. Hadn't even been there 20 minutes. How were they supposed to go on a trip. Alone. How?

Eris dipped her head in something like gratitude, but knowing her, it was nothing of the sort. Maybe a dismissal or a show of her tolerance for the elf, perhaps. She gave him a little bit of a "what a loser" look, as his head hung, tilting her chin up a little just so she could look down her nose at him with disdain. "I'll see if I can keep it in mind." She drawled, narrowing her eyes at him.

Kin left, ignoring her hostility. He spent a lot of money that day. The amount of wandering her had to do was a testament to how big the city truly is. He didn't typically do a lot of thinking, but most of the day, he was thinking he regretted going back on the first day. Among other troubles, of a different variety. He acquired many things, most of what was on her list save for a couple. Fortunately with a sister it was mainly not foreign to him. Among the things he got were two horses, good natured ones. From what he could see, they were healthy and trained. And if they weren't then oh well. Anyway they did come with tack fortunately. Somewhat upset to be walking around with two of the large creatures half the day. Reminded of the reasons he didn't particularly like them frequently. The next morning was slow. He carried another bag with him, while it was still dark, into her room.

Most of the rest of her day, Eris was either sleeping or attempting to walk. By the end of the day, she got about 20 consecutive steps in- she was confident that by the next morning she would be able to make it out onto the street. Her dark, fitful sleep was interrupted by the sound of familiar footsteps and a cloying, stupid scent in her nose. She shifted and opened her eyes, blinking a few times to pull the dim room into focus. "You're back." She said quietly, feeling, for some reason, that the darkness around her called for whispering. She sat up slowly, gently trying to adjust her braid with her nails. She let out a small, relaxed breath at the comforting feel of shadows all around. This was her comfort.

Kin watched her wake up. Immediately discomforted, mainly by the way she looked content or something. No more than usual though. "Got your stuff, couldn't find a couple things." He said, gently putting the bag at the foot of her bed. "We'll be at another town soon, can look for them there." He didn't look like he slept well- or even enough, especially with his stiff movements and the sluggish way he sat, hugging his knees, his head hanging. Then again it could just be the early morning.. He considered the horses again, rubbing his forehead with the base of his hand. It would be a lot of riding and riding didn't appear to be one of his skills.

Eris dipped her head in a nod, eyes locked onto the bag he dropped. Her eyes were brighter than normal- enough to be distinct out of the darkness. She gracefully slipped out of bed, slowly putting her weight onto her feet and gritting her teeth slightly. Painful, but doable. "Got it." She she muttered, dipping to pick the bag up and quickly striding to the bathroom, as if that would make the venture less uncomfortable. She shut the door behind her and immediately sat down, rummaging through the bag for clothing. She pulled some on hastily, glad to be out of the ridiculous gown. As of now, she wore a simple, brown shirt with short sleeves and a slight V-neck. Black pants and a solid pair of boots later, she grabbed as many weapons as she could find and strapped them to her body- no effort made to be stealthy about it. Two in a thigh sheath and a few at her ribs- it made her miss the armored bodysuit She usually got to wear for assignments like this. She let out a breath and closed the bag, slinging it over her shoulder and standing. She glanced in the mirror and fiddled with her braid, tucking a few stray strands back into the long mass. After, she let it stay pulled over her shoulder and did her best to walk rather than hobble into the main room. "Shall we?" She asked, looking over the hunched mass against the wall. Did he never sleep? Her ear flicked gently, sending one of the golden rings in her ear jingling.

Kin's head rose up, they appeared to be wearing similar clothing, both dark. His looked more like greens though. He still wore the black, hooded capelet. He watched her limp, his eyes only lingering for a moment before he rolled onto his feet. "Do you want to get the horses with me or wait for me to get them, limpy?" He asked, looking around the room to see if they missed anything while he meandered to the doorway, and then slipped out into the dimly lit corridor.
