Zander Mccade _ Zander and Tony sat there watching her before seeing how fast she was done then they followed her out and places their bags into the car trunk and Tony sighed and said " aww man" Zander chuckles as he got into the passenger seat and Tony got behind his seat then said " why couldn't I the shotgun " Zander said " cause you're a child when it comes to the front seat " Tony said " I am not " as he glares out side before saying " am I allowed to fall asleep " as he yawns Zander looks outside and through back when they moved _ 3 years back. Zander rushed around the house pulling things out and packing them up as Tony was crying and their mother yelling at Zander as he was packing but it didn't stop him his father was the only thing that could cause his mother won't even touch Zander in a mean way and he was thankful once Tony was in the car he was crying from the time they left to the time they got to there first town to stop and grab something to eat, Tony always ask " why did we have to leave " and Zander answer was " cause it wasn't normal for parents to hate their child " Tony responds was " they only hate you not me why did j have to go with you " |

( lets just say their leaving from NYC, driving to LA ) Odessa Matthews - Odessa nodded "Yes, you may sleep." she said pulling out of her driveway and starting to drive towards the highway. The drive to the new house would be a long drive. Days long. If they went straight to LA with no stops, it would take 41 hours, but they would have to stop for gas, bathroom stops, food for the boys, and at least one hunt for Odessa. Thankfully, Odessa could drive for all hours of the day, so they never had to stop to sleep. Odessa guessed that they'd arrive in LA in about 2 and 1/2 days, but only time could tell. She didn't need a GPS for the drive, as she had been driving since before GPS was invented and knew how to properly navigate just by the road signs. Either way, Odessa had made this drive a once before in her life, as she had gone through the cycle vampire rotation almost twice in her vampire lifetime. |

Zander Mccade _ Zander looks at her when she said yes and Tony fell asleep softly on the windshield and Zander just watches the houses go by as much as he could before he sighed and mumbles " this is a ride to live or die " as he sighed before looking away from the window and leans back as he then closed his eyes like he was sleeping but he wasn't. It was hard for him to even take a nap literally since he had nightmares and he didn't want anyone else to know about it as he was a secret type of guy and with all the pain of memories |

Odessa Matthews - Odessa accelerated as she pulled onto the highway, reaching 75 mph, just over the 70 mph speed limit. "Yea, kinda" she agreed quietly with Zander. Odessa could see Tony sleeping in her rearview mirror, and she could see Zander lean back, and he appeared to be sleeping, but she could hear his heartbeat, and it was far to fast for him to be asleep. "What did your parents do to you? Why'd you leave?" she asked, not really caring if this was a sensitive topic for him or if he wanted to rest, she was still going to ask. |

Zander Mccade _ Zander opens his eyes and looks at her before sighing and said " I really don't want to talk about it even through you might not care " as he then sighed hard and said " but you asked so il tell you " he didn't know how to start this but he figure out a way " when I was 9 my mom got sick and tired of taking care of two kids, that's when my dad got the sense that one of us needed to go, I was beaten, wip, being called ungrateful child, useless, and it got so worst that my dad use a knife on me " as he goes back to the memory to were his dad used the knife and wince a bit before continuing " so I left and move two towns over from were I use to live before going back and grabbing my brother out that way he didn't feel that way " as he looks at her then away |

Odessa Matthews - Sympathy rose inside of Odessa for the boys. "I'm sorry, that wasn't right of your parents to treat you like that." she said, her eyes flickering between Zander and the road. "I don't remember my life before turning over. But as a young vampire, I had nightmares of a little child, whom I imagine is what I looked like as a child, crying on the floor, getting beaten and whipped while who I assume where my parents yelled and shamed the child. I can never say I understand what you've been through, but I'm pretty sure my human self would be able to understand." Odessa said, her eyes stayed on the dark road as she told Zander this, not wanting to look at him while she told him this. Even though she didn't actually remember anything as a child, it was still a touchy subject for her. Especially admiting that her parents, that she no longer knew who they where, had abused her. |

Zander Mccade _ Zander looks at her and said " I am sorry it must have been hard on you I don't like how parents treat kids these days I guess it how you behave or be wanted " he sighed then said " it would have been better if they just sent me to the foster care that way they didn't have to worry about me at all " as he sighed and he was actually tracing the scar on his arm that his father give him with he knife and Zander didn't even realize he was doing that at all before Zander said " but it's good that you don't remember a lot cause it worst when you sleep with nightmares every now and then " |

Odessa Matthews - "These days..." Odessa snickered, smirking a little. "For me this all happened just about 200 years ago." her smile dropped quickly as she shifted to the next subject. "Well if you were sent to foster care, you wouldn't have been able to get your brother out." Odessa countered. "I don't think you understand. My current state of mind and body has never experienced getting hurt by anyone, or ever meeting me parents. My current state of mind and body has experienced nightmares of old memories that where erased from my memory when I turned over, but the subconcious can remember everything. My subconcious brings back a time when my human state was being beaten. Its almost like watching someone elses life." she clarified for Zander. "I still get these nightmares sometimes when I sleep." Odessa said "It must really suck to have to sleep every night, not knowing when a nightmare is going to come along and haunt you." |

( can I say he was born in LA and that's where his parents just to add drama a bit ) Zander Mccade _ Zander looks at her and said " wait how old are you if it happen 200 hundred years ago " as he looks at her with a weird face as he sighed then said " true I don't know how it is for you but I know nightmares it comes and goes it why I don't sleep at all " as he looks down at his hands then sighed before saying " and how did you get turned and why did you get turn did someone force you too " as he looks back at her just curious before saying " if you don't want to tell em it fine I shouldn't be to curious about it " |

Odessa Matthews - "Its ok, its pretty normal for you to ask. I am 162 years old. I got turned when I was 21, and my body froze in time when I got changed. So I really don't age. I get older and older, but it will never affect me or my appereance." she said, keeping her eyes on the road. "I don't remember how I was changed, all I remember is waking up in a hospital morge and not knowing how I got there. But when I was introduced to the vampire community, somehow everyone knew how I'd been turned, and I met the man who turned me. Apparently, this man I'd met earlier that night was... forcibly touching me," she said wincing a bit, she didn't want to say the actual word. "and he bit my side, under my upper left arm, I still have the scar, and I bled out to the point of hospitalization and unconsiousness. I stayed unconsious and changing for three days before my heart stopped. When the doctors realized I was 'dead' they sent me to the morge to be stored until my funeral. But I woke the next day, and managed to escape and figured out what to do." Odessa finished her story, glancing over at Zander to see his reaction. |
