Chris had slept in till 10 so he didnt hear the commotion. He slowly stumbled out of bed and down the hall still in a night robe. "Mother whats all the noise" "the princess's horse got injured yesterday" Chris stopped what he was doing and glanced up, "oh no" he raced outside to the barn and over to where Annika was. "Annika, is he alright". Chris could not help but feel somewhat like it was his fault, if he hadnt taken the princess down to the water her horse would still have been locked up. Chris pushed the thought aside and decided to worry about present matters.

Annika rubbed her eyes and carefully washed the dirt away from Shouts wounds. "Oh. Hello Chris" her eyes looked at him but she continued to work on her horse. "Apparently he got a little restless after we left and he kicked his stall door down. He's done this before but I thought, since he hadn't done it in a while, that he was done freaking out. Anyway, he got loose then came back scratched up." She shook her head. She should've stayed with him longer like she usually did. Annika washed the last bit of dirt off then walked him around to dry him. She toweled the rest of his body off then put some ointment on his wounds.

"I'm sorry that happened, I'll make sure the stable hands look after him better this time" Chris walked off and chatted with the stable hands. He then came back and stood beside Annika, " i know you might wanna hangout here so we can postpone the trip if you would like?"

She have a weak smile to Chris before he walked away. Annika put Shout in his stall. "stay this time please" she begged then gave him a treat. She turned to Chris when he spoke again. "No. He's fine. I need to see my brother anyway" she looked away at the mention of her younger brother.

Chris smiled and slowly walked towards an old car, "we have to go in this, otherwise we'll get to much public interest if you know what I mean" he put a rusty key into the car and unlocked it, he walked over to Annika's side door and grasped the dirty door handle and yanked it open. "Forgot to mention the door handles suck" he laughed and walked back over to him side and got in. "Your gonna have to tell me how to get there".

Annika followed him to the car. "Wow. This thing is old" she slid into the passenger seat. "I know my way home" she reassured him. she pointed out directions before they began on a long stretch of road. "this road if long. I'll tell you where else exit at" she leaned back in the seat then gazed st him for a second. "So..."

"Well lets just hope i remember how to drive this thing" chris joked. He turned on the car and it sped forward, "oh crap" he quietly applied pressure on the brake and the car came to a screeching stop. "Well uh that was interesting". He pulled the car back properly and begun following Annikas directions. "So?" He looked across to her, her hair looked as though it was glowing in the sun

Annika kept her eyes straight forward. "Have you ever been in my country before?" She asked. She pulled a lock of her hair over her shoulder and braided it

The car jumped forward again but Chris had better control now, "No, i havent.." he replied sheepishly "Sounds rather nice though"

She shrugged a little, gripping the seatbelt she the car launched forward. "Yeah... nice" Annika's mind was on other matters though. Was Shout acting right? Was he going to heal? How was Penton? Did he know she was getting married off? She sighed and looked down at her shoes.
