(XDDD) •°˜---X---˜°• Adrien stood up once he saw the girl and turned around quickly, looking inside of Phantom's stall. He saw she was done eating and opened her stall door, clipping a lead rope to her halter and walking her out of her stall, tying her to some crossties. He began brushing her down, taking any small specks of dirt off of her grey-splattered coat. Adrien brushed all the dirt off before grabbing a comb and slowly beginning to comb through Phantom's black and white mane. Phantom bowed her head and pawed at the ground lightly. Adrien patted her neck, "Don't do that girl, wouldn't want you to chip a hoof." He muttered to his mare. She stopped pawing the ground and curved her neck to look at him with her blue eyes before she snorted and seemed to nod. -Fine, fine.- She said, going back to standing still as Adrien combed her mane and braided it. Frynn continued to rub down Katana, a small smile on her face as she spent time with her precious mare. She heard footsteps outside the door, then the stall door slid open and she froze in slight fear, her eyes widening slightly. "T-trent?" She asked quietly, shrinking back against the wall slightly. The shorter, stocky boy that seemed about her age leaned against the stall door. "Frynn. Of course I'd find you here, with the horses." He said lowly, distaste plain in his voice as he glared at the animal. "You shouldn't have left me, Frynn. We should get back together. No one likes a bad breakup." He muttered, moving closer, a dark glint in his eyes. Frynn glanced at the ground before steeling her jaw and looking up. "I don't want to be near you right now, Trent. I'm sorry. It just wasn't going to work out and it won't now." She said firmly. Trent moved even closer, his breath hot on her face. "Aw c'mon babe, it could be so good..." He whispered. Frynn glared at him and pushed him away. "I said leave." She snapped, turning back to Katana. Trent grabbed her arm. "You'll regret this. I'll be back." He hissed. Frynn whipped her head around, fear jabbing at her throat. Why was he being like this!? "L- Leave." She repeated with a slightly more shaky voice. Trent rolled his eyes and left. Letting out a quiet breath of relief, Frynn sagged back against the wall, curling her arms around herself. Her life sucked.

•°˜---X---˜°• Adrien looked over and saw the whole ordeal. He glared at the place this, "Trent" guy left. But at least he knew the girl's name. He tapped Phantom's neck. "Distract her." He said quietly, unclipping Phantom's halter. Phantom walked over to the two, and nibbled at Katana's butt before pulling back slightly. -Sorry. Also, you're pretty.- Phantom reprimanded. She knew that Frynn could probably hear her. While this was happening, Adrien had slipped out and quietly followed after Trent. He wanted to know more about his weird and what seemed to be, ex boyfriend. Edited at May 7, 2024 08:16 PM by Oakwood Barn

Frynn covered her face with her hands, slowly sliding down the wall till she was sitting in the shavings. She then heard a cheery voice fill her mind, and a slight Nicker. She looked up to see Katana had wheeled around and, ears perked, was looking at another mare. +Oh! That's fine. Thanks! You're pretty too. I love the pattern+ Katana whinnied back, flicking her tail to rid herself of a pesky fly. Frynn tilted her head, studying the mare for a second before tentatively pushing her mind towards the mare's. +Hi... don't be startled. I'm Frynn. You are?+ she asked, her mind completely off what had happened. Trent had stormed away towards a rusty old truck, but as he heard footsteps he turned, thinking it was Frynn. When he saw it wasn't his face downturned into a glower. "What do you want?" He growled, crossing his arms.

Phantom pawed at the ground and threw her head slightly, getting a fly off as she calmed down and looked back at the two. She heard Frynn's voice enter her mind and didn't react much to it. -Ah hello Frynn. Nice to meet you. And thank you! I do very much like my pattern.- She whinnied to them both, her black and white mane flipping out of her face. Adrien on the other hand was staring at Trent, an eyebrow raised. "Why were you bothering her? From the way she talked, you two are far done." He told him. Adrien blinked and his left eye shifted darker again, a grin spread across his face as Trent's shadow began spilling... everything.

Katana tossed her mane, her eyes bright. She turned her head towards Frynn, nuzzling her. +Good+ she snorted, turning to grab a bite of hay. Frynn tilted her head slightly. +Nice to meet you too+ she answered, then glanced outside, her eyebrows furrowing slightly as she saw two shadows. Had Trent not left? Who was he talking to? Trent growled under his breath. "I wasn't bothering her. She just doesn't get we're not done." He snapped, scowling. +Stupid idiot, meddling in my business. He has nothing to do with Frynn. She's mine. I'll get her to see that+ he thought, scowling even more deeply at the other male as they grinned. "What? What are you grinning at?" He barked angrily, shoving the boy's chest.

(Feel free to ask me to change this if you want) •°˜---X---˜°• Adrien blinked again and his left eye shifted back to normal. "Oh nothing! Have good day Trentie-poo." He said with an evil grin. Trent's lovely shadow had told him that's what his mom called him. Adrien waved to him, not turning his back on him as he began to walk back to the barn. (Also, sorry it's short.)

(Ehhh, I won't let it rest XD) - Trent's eyes widened and he stood in shock for a moment. "T- Get back here you idiot!" He snarled, grabbing the boy's shirt and tugging him back. "How do you know that!? And don't you dare speak that name to me!" Trent all but roared, reeling back and punching the boy in the face. Frynn's eyes widened as she heard a voice. Trent's. She scrambled to her feet and opened the stall door, closing it and running out in time to see Trent punch the boy in the face. "T- Trent!" She exclaimed, skidding to a stop, her eyes wide. "What are you doing!?"

•°˜---X---˜°• Adrien just smiled as he was punched, he stumbled back slightly and touched his face tentatively. "Ouch." he hummed, he didn't sound all to hurt though. Although, his emotions were wild. Mostly silent anger. He watched Trent for a moment before raising an eyebrow. "What? Thought you were a secret to the world?" He lied. He was not about to tell this jackass he could talk to his shadow- that would be weird.

Trent looked even angrily as the boy just SMILED. What was wrong with him!? "Ouch? Ouch!?! You-" He seethed in anger, reeling back for another punch. Frynn stumbled back as two waves of emotions hit her. Loud, boisterous anger from Trent and quiet, frothing anger from the boy. She grabbed her head and squeezed her eyes shut before blocking it out and running forward, pushing Trent back right as he was about to punch the person again. "Trent get your brain back! Not that you had one in the first place. Don't come back here!" Frynn hissed, her blue eyes sparking red with fiery anger. Trent opened his mouth, sputtering a couple irritated words. "I'm coming back for you! And I'll beat you up next time I see you, boy." He snarled, stomping off and driving away quickly. "I'm- I'm sorry! I don't know what got into him.. are you okay?" Frynn asked quietly, though her voice was worried.
