Abby looked at him from her spot on the floor. She could only get two words out "Flys leaving". Those two words felt like a billet through her heart. She let her head fall to her knees. |

Ryker's eyes grew surprised and sad to hear the news- he could tell how much the mare meant to Abby. He was good with horses, and the way Fly nuzzled the girl, the way Abby looked at the horse... they were bonded. He couldn't imagine being sperated from Serpant. "That's horrible.. I'm sorry." He answered quietly, slipping away, knowing she most likely didn't want him there. |

Abby stayed with Fly for another two hours, brushing Foy down and giving her some much needed treats. She took pictures with her to remember her forever. Abby looked outside when she heard a vehicle pull into the driveway. She dropped her brush when she saw a truck with an empty trailer stop and Flys owner step out. Frey was a short brunett with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She was probably around thirty with two young children in the backseat. She had a button up tucked into her frayed jeans. "Thank you so much for cleaning her up. I'm sorry that's it was such short notice but we just got the call that it was time to go." Frey took the lead too and untied it, walking Fly Away into the trailer. "I have to get Cast Away too" she immediately walked off. Abby was too stunned to speak. She stood there watching her beloved friend be loaded into the trailer. |

Ryker took Serpant on a walk, going onto the grassy hill for the sallion to graze. He felt horrible that Abby had to watch while horses she obviously loved were taken away from her. Soon he felt the strong urge to just want to be for her.. but she wouldn't want to be near anyone right now. Maybe he could attempt comforting her later. In any case, she was in shock and he couldn't help. Ryker led Serpant more towards the woods, then decided to go on a walk. He ambled through the trails, letting his stallion munch some grass here and there. Soon they came to a cave, and Ry wanted to stop and see if there was anything special inside- he was just vaugely curious, when a low roar came from inside and a bear came rushing out. Serpant reared up with a loud whinny of terror, accidentally striking out and hitting Ryker in the chest with a hard hoof. The man fell to the ground with a yelp of pain, and then Serpant was gone, galloping away. The bear aimed its anger at Ryker, slashing into his thigh with long jagged claws. From the pain, Ry passed out, and after a while the bear left him alone. Only 10 minutes later he awoke, groaning, and remembered what had happened, not seeing Serpant. "S-Serpant.." He croaked, trying to scramble upright. His leg was bleeding heavily- there was deep wounds. He couldn't breath, instead wheezing from lack of air, and his ribs felt crushed. Definitely broken. Ryker, in a frantic hurry, limped forward, leaning on trees, to find his horse. Of course, having not spooked far, Serpant was only about a hundred feet away. Ryker barely got there, his vision double and blurry. |

Abby couldn't bear the pain of watching Fly leave and rushed to the house, climbing a tree and sitting there for a long while, watching Cast Away be loaded up beside his mother and the truck drive away. That was it. They were gone. She called her mother and explained what happened, crying again. She couldn't take it. Abby just wanted to be alone. |

Ryker knew he wasn't in a good situation. As soon as he got to Serpant he collapsed on the ground, his legs giving out. Pain wafted in waves through every part of his body, making him want to pass out but also keeping him awake. He knew he couldn't walk all the way out of here....or could he. Steeling himself, Ryker gritted his teeth and pushed himself off the ground again, leaning heavily against Serpant. "C'mon boy... we can do it.." He whispered, taking the lead rope and limping forward. It seemed like hours.... even days later when a clearing appeared, then they were out of the woods, by His cabin. Feeling dizzy, dehydrated, in pain, and just grumpy in general, Ryker didn't go any farther, sliding to the ground and leaning up against the cabin with a pained groan. |

Abby closed her eyes and dreamed about owning her own horse, wishing she could experience the joy of owning one. She ended up falling asleep when Jessica bounded out of the house. "Abby! Where you at girl?" She found abby in the tree and climbed up with her, sitting on a different branch and kicking her to wake her up |

Ryker let his head drop back against the cabin wall, his vision blurry. He needed to get up the hill. He didn't know how he'd get up the hill, but he needed to get up the hill. His ribs screamed with pain and he knew he was losing blood fast... too fast. First he slowly tipped and got to his feet, slowly, then staggered inside the cabin, his thigh feeling like battered hamburger meat. "Ouchhhh..." he hissed, going to the bedroom and groping under his bed. There a med kit lay, with stuff in it, including a turniquet, which he strapped around his leg, gritting his teeth and growling with pain as he twisted it tighter. He just needed to get up the hill, then he'd take it off- or the medics would, or something. In the barn there was a phone. His phone was in a saddlebag in the barn. Ryker closed his eyes a moment before limping outside, grabbing Serpant, and starting the long trek up the hill, pain screaming from every part of his body. +this hurts more than when I broke my back...+ he thought, seeing stars and feeling short of breath. However, he made it to the top of the hill, by some chance and a miracle. |

Abby and Jessica sat up in the tree, watching him. They couldn't see if anything was wrong, but he looked fine to them. Abby shrugged and laid her head against the tree again, but Jess noticed a shimmer of red coming from his leg. "Abby. Is he ok?" She asked, tapping Abby. "He's fine" she mumbled, not even looking at her |

Ryker was definitely about to pass out. "I hate hospitals..." He grumbled to himself, but he knew with injuries like this it would help. Slowly sinking onto the ground with a wince of pain, he unstrapped the turniquet, knowing blood would come pouring out but also not wanting to lose his leg. After that he left a literal blood trail as he tried to limp quickly to the barn, finally making it there and locking Serpant in a stall. He then called 911, explaining his situation in a slightly woozy voice. After they said they were coming he hung up and sat down in the hay, making sure not to get any in his leg. "I'll live." He murmured to himself, leaning back and closing his eyes, trying to push away the pain. |
