Drake breathed a sigh of relief, "I'm glad you like it, I found it my freshman year when I was lost trying to find a bathroom," he laughed, "only you and a couple of my buddies know about. It's nice that it's a bit of secret otherwise we'd have this place packed." He set his backpack down, pulling out his phone and airpods, turning on a country playlist. He offered one to Ella, "You want one?"

Ella's eyes darted around the rather comfortable looking room, incredibly glad to be away from the buslting halls. Somehow, sitting down here was so much more peaceful than even being at home, with her lecturing mother and loud little sister, always in her business whenever they got the chance. Luckily, here there were neither of them. Just Drake, which she very much didn't mind. As he offered her an airpod she nodded enthusiastically, taking it. Music seemed to make the moment of just being able to sit there even better, as it always had done for her.

The period went by so quickly, music always made Drake loose track of time. When the bell went off it kinda knocked him out of a trance, and forced him to stand up. "Well I suppose it's time to deal with people again. I hope you didn't mind my music. In the future if there's ever a song you don't like or one that you really want to listen to just lemme know." Drake said, stretching his back. He went to the door and navigated his and Ella's way out the secret room. They made their way back downstairs to the gym, for everyone's favorite class, pe. Drake parted ways with Ella, saying he'd see her in a minute when it was time to go into the locker rooms. Drake always made sure to be quick in the locker room, for some reason the gym locker room smelled significantly worse than the football locker room. He changed into the school issued grey t-shirt and purple shorts. Both read Panther Pride. Happy to be out of the locker room, Drake sat down in the cool bleachers and waited for Ella.

Ella nodded at Drake's first comment, though she was too busy trying to navigate through the dark stairway to speak. As they made their way into the light, she turned to Drake and gave a warm smile. "i'll see you soon" she said warmly, before heading nto the changing rooms, being greeted rather..warmly by Daisy. She changed quickly, to avoid any tragic conversations with her erratic friends, then headed out to find Drake. She had re-done her hair in a bit of a better ponytail, less messy. She was just in the regualr white top and slightly short black shorts, which wasnt too bad, though her tan was really contrasting with the top. Eventually, she found Drake by the bleachers, and almost immedaitely headed towards him, waving off Daisy with a quick hug.

Drake's head snapped up when Ella walked over, shrugging off a friend. "Hey. Do you have any idea what we're doing today? I hope it's something fun, but that guy looks like he'd make us run on the first day." Drake said, nodding over at their pe teacher. He was middle aged man with a receding hair line and whistle around his neck. When he blew the whistle to start class, luckily Drake was proven wrong. "Alright kiddos," Drake cringed, "we're all going to play basketball today. I want everyone involved alright!" Basketball was a sport that Drake had never liked very much. He was decent at it, like all high school boys, but he tried to avoid it as much as possible. He knew the two guys from the basketball team in the class, so he'd just try to be on their team.

Ella settled herself next to Drake and shook her head, giving a small disgusted face as he mentioned running. Whilst she loved sports, had no problem with PE, being made to do laps on the first day back at school was, in her opinion, just cruel. Luckily though, it seemed like both Drake and Ella found relief as the teacher mentioned not running..but basketball. She let out n annoyed sigh and looked over at Drake quickly before standing herself up to head down to join the others. She in no way liked the sport, though she seemed to be mewhat good at it. It was just..boring to her.

Drake and Ella were out on the team with the basketball guys, who Drake knew from middle school football. He turned to Ella, "imma actually try today so the teacher likes me, and then I'll be able to half ass it the rest of the year saying I have football." It was a trick that always worked and he usually liked pe class but he never wanted to run or workout before a big game, because he knew it affected his performance. He wasn't just playing for his high school anymore, he was trying to secure a D1 commitment. Class actually went by quick quickly, Jonny and Mason, the basketball players, actually passed to him so he got to really play, even though he was pretty bad and usually like to go through people for fun. After class he changed back into his regular clothes, not before he sprayed on deodorant. He met Ella outside the gym. "Do you need a ride. I'm always happy to pick you up or drop you off somewhere." Drake commented with a smile. They started walking out to the senior parking lot until the way the better part of the way to his truck. He could see Kai and Jacob getting in already.

Though she was struggling to hear Drake due to the loud, rather high pitched, voices of some of the girls recieving the news they were playing basketball, Ella gave him a nod and a weak smile, then focusing her attention to the game. Throughout most of the lesson it seemed easy enough, she even managed to actually participate instead of stand back and watch-as she had enjoyed doing last year, but as the whistle signalled the end of the lesson, she was incredibly grateful. She didnt dislike PE at all, but having it on her first day back would most definitely not be her first choice. Still, she'd take it over Spanish or social studies. After she had gotten herself changed, nearly soaked with everyone elses spray, and let her hair back down from the tight, rather uncomfortable ponytail, she finally caught up with Drake again as they neared the carpark. Daisy was already making her way over to them, so Ella knew she had to give him a quick goodbye, as much as she didnt want to. "i'll have to drop my friends off today, im afraid. Though i'm more than happy to have a ride some other time" she gave him a warm smile as she reached for the handle of the mercedes, watching her friend slam the door on the other side after she'd gotten in. "and..i'll see you tomorrow" she added, looking him in the eye as she spoke.

Drake bid her goodbye, and got into his truck. He'd just turned the car on, hadn't even put his seat belt on yet, when Kai decided to make an announcement. "Jakey did you know that Big D here is in love?" He said, stretching out love. Jacob laughed and commented "No I did not. I bet she's way outta your league." and clapped him on the shoulder from behind. Drake would have been a little hurt if he'd been talking to anyone else, but he knew they were just trying to be funny. "Ouch guys, I'm driving you home remember. I mean, let a man put his seatbelt on first if you're gonna say that shit." Drake replied, shaking his head. Once they got out of the parking lot, Kai went straight back onto the previous topic. "No seriously, you said you have every class with her. This is literally gonna be you falling in love and getting your heart broken going off to college. You get attached so easily. Thank god you don't do hook ups otherwise you'd be in love with twenty people at the same time." Drake just shook his head and turned the radio on. "I could make you walk home but I won't because I'm nice. Unlike you." He threw his friend a side eye, turning into his neighborhood. "I can't control who I fall in love with okay? I hate that I get attached so easily. I honestly only want to be friends with Ella." He stopped the car in front of Kai's house, saying they could talk more later. When they pulled away, Jacob started saying something but Drake quickly hushed him, snapping his fingers. They rode the rest of the way home in comfortable silence, and quickly arrived home. Drake went straight up to his bedroom, and sat down on the end of his bed, thinking.

Ella had spent most of the way home in almost complete silence, the only noise being the occasional teasing from her friends every ten minutes. Soon enough, after she had dropped everyone off, she made it home, though her face dropped when she saw her grandparents car in the driveway. To her, her grandparents were the most pretentious, tedious, posh irritating people ever, she she didnt think she could actually despise anyone more. She parked the car up and gave a heavy sigh before heading inside. Not even ten seconds after she had shut the front door, a sixty-something, rather tall ederly women made her way down the hall, her red lipstick glinting in the sun which came through the cracks in the door. What could only be described as a noise to make your ears bleed, rang out from her mouth in a shrill shriek, and all Ella could do was force a fake smile whilst she got sincerely lectured for the next..ten? twenty? thirty? minutes. After what seemed like an eternity to her, she managed to slip upstairs and straight to her room, locking the door almost immediately. She flopped down on the bed and pulled her phone out, just simply scrolling through people's stories.
