She backed up a step or two in fear "I... I'm sorry Sir, but I'm being honest! I would never leave you and the herd, i couldn't.. I'm not that type of mare" She said lowering her head to defuse the situation

"I don't take excuses. Leave my sight."

Mystery nodded and turned away, she looked at the herd and Princess and Roman as she started headed back.

Then she turned back to Menace and cantered past him then turned so she was facing the direction he was facing and came up beside him, her heart was going so fast she was frightened on how he would handle this. Mystery put her head under his and nuzzled up to him for a split moment "I don't think you understand" She said in a calm soft voice before trot-cantering back to the herd

"I don't give a dam." he snapped at her.

Mystery herd his remark. She got back into the herd and found Princess "Sorry... This may take a while, he's hard to get close to" She said flicking her tail

"I understand." they both said together.

Mystery nodded and started grazing, she wasn't sure how to get Menace to like her enough to trust her.. She decided to stop thinking about it for a while

The two horses were overjoyed about Mystery's plan. It was amazing. They really didn't care how risky it was, they thought that any hope was good.

Mystery grazed for about 10 minute's before realizing -Oh wait.. I should ask Roman or Princess, they might help me figure out what i should try next- She thought as she raised her head and looked at them, she walked over "Hehe you two look happy" Mystery said with a warm smile "By any chance would any of you two have any idea's on how i can become his 'mare'?" She hated saying 'His mare' but she knew that's how she could save everyone, she hoped Roman had some idea since he was Menace's son

"I have no idea." Val admitted.

"Ask Kiwi. She has spent all her life trying to get on his good side." Roman told her.

"She will want something in return!" Val added. Kiwi was the sassiest paint mare you would have ever seen. She thought that she owned the world and would only help you, if it helped her.

"What would she want though..." Val mumbled.

"I really don't know." Roman admitted.

"We could hire Sugar!" they said in unison. Sugar was a playful pony, bought by Menace specifically. Her whole purpose was to watch over the herd and report all things that were suspicious. But, she loved an extra payment, and was very loyal to her word. As long as you were loyal to yours.
