Raptor glanced at Millie, then at Tyler's. Tyler looked at him. "Go on. At least you deserve to be happy." He muttered, and Rsptor bounced down the tree, play bowing in front of Millie. He barked, running around her and bowing again. Tyler watched the two dogs, frowning. He couldn't BELIEVE Regan would insult his dad like that... he knew his dad wasn't the nicest but he was Tyler's DAD. His shoulders sagged and he let out a sigh.

Regan watched the two dogs from a bit of a distance before rolling onto her back. She looked thoughtful for a moment or two before sighing and rolling over so that she could see where Tyler was sitting. She cursed herself for a moment before rubbing her forehead. "Tyler... I'm sorry," she told him quietly. "I didn't mean anything by it," she then added with a bit of a groan. She wanted to explain why she was being so... horrible, but she knew there wasn't really an excuse for what she'd said so far. She wasn't really used to... well, people anymore.

"It's fine. I don't care, anyway." Tyler said stiffly, continuing Tim watch the digs. He was going to take care of her till she was healed, and that wouldn't change unless she tried to kill him. He knew that he was a little stiff, but he didn't want to just 'be trustful' again. Raptor pounced again, then bounded around in a circle, barking happily

Regan shook her head a little bit, watching the two animals run about. Her side had stopped aching by now and left her just laying on her back, bored senseless. She'd normally be running around, keeping herself entertained somehow. But here she was just... bored. Bored and stuck. "Are you not going to like... talk to me?" She asked with a cocked head. "I'm bored," she complained after a couple of moments.

"Okay Miss Bored, what do you want to talk about?" Tyler hinted the slightest of smiles, turning to her. He waited, watching the dogs run around. Finally Raptor flopped down on his side, panting. He rolled over then got back up, ran around, and flopped back down. Tyler shook his head, "Silly boy." He muttered

The girl shrugged before rolling onto her stomach, looking up at the tree he was sat in. "I dunno," she shrugged with a slightly cocked head. "Anything, really," she then hummed after a few seconds before looking towards her dog, who was sitting, waiting for Raptor to run past her again before chasing him. She pouted before looking back up to the other boy. "What did you do before all of this?" She eventually asked, really just looking for any kind of small talk to fill the silence in the air.

"I was in track and wrestling, and a couple 'army' camps." Tyler said. "Always the fastest one in track, strongest one in wrestling, and when I grew older, I was the best army person in their camp. They actually asked me to join the Marines, but I declined, knowing I would probably have a wife and kids someday... and I'd have to take care of them. I couldn't take care of them if my corpse was washed up on the beaches of Japan." Tyler made a face, shifting his weight to lean on his right leg. Raptor darted past Millie, enticing her to chase him again. He yipped and ran past Her again

Regan listened to him for a moment before letting a chuckle escape her. "I bet your room was filled with trophies and all that rubbish," she snickered as she looked at him. "You were in school, then, I take it?" she asked with a cocked head. He didn't look much older than her... she'd been in school when this whole thing started, and to be honest she hadn't done very much. She mused herself at the thought of a family now... most the people that would be able to fix this were either dead or infected, and they couldn't do very much that way. "You should have joined them. Not much chance of a wife and kids now," she snickered bitterly.

"I threw away all the trophies." Tyler muttered, hurt showing plainly in his gaze. "And yes, I WAS in school. I got out about 3 months before the pandemic. I was always ahead in school." As Regan snickered her last comment, Tyler's face turned into a mask of shock. "Regan! You need to start being more careful about what you say, because almost EVERYTHING you say could offend someone!" Tyler snapped, turning his gaze away. Raptor whined, looking at Tyler with a plaintive gaze. Tyler climbed down out of the tree house, building back up the fire.

The girl cocked her head a little bit, obviously curious now. "Why would you throw them away?" She asked curiously. In his comment about his leaving school early. "I bet you did," she rolled her eyes a little bit. "I bet you were just so amazing at everything," she scoffed to the boy. She was never very good in school. She wasn't really sporty, or academic, so she just sort of existed around the school. "I bet you were everyone's favourite person, too," she then grumbled. She looked back to him when he snapped, a kind of grin on her face, more than happy to have gotten a rise out of him. "Yes dad," she chuckled lightly. "It's only the truth. What are the chances that anyone is going to get to settle down now?" She added lightly.
