Wither's head lifted some, her eyes showing tiredness, as she heard the water splashing. She watched asWest rinsed himself off in the lake and faintly smelled blood. Not seeing West in any real pain she slowly laid her head back down. Her breathing was calm as she slept and her body relaxed as the scent of the flowers calmed her.

West finished washing away the blood, though some still clung to his coat. He winced as the water streamed over his scratches, the pain starting to tingle again. He then went back to the tree, not wanting to squeeze through that tiny pace again. He laid down. It was almost dawn, but he would sleep till the light awoke him

She would continue to sleep and felt very calm and safe in the field. For one she wasn't alone, seeing that West was not very far away, and this field was very hidden. -I doubt a cougar will try to get in here- she thought as she slept -nor will any other horses know where the entrance is.-

Right before dawn broke the grey stallion woke, blinking through the sunlight. He got up, wincing. His pelt hurt more than usual, for some reason. She walked stiffly over to the flower field, peeking through the crack to check on Wither. He didn't go through, for apparent reasons. Then he tried hard to think of any other even remotely entertaining thing. Hi s eyes lit up. "Wither?" He called softly. "I have one more thing to show you. Hurry, or we will miss it." Once he saw the mare follow him he trotted to the other side of the field, climbing up a steep path. He seemed to climb forever, but they finally came out onto a giant open flat place. It was the very top of the mountain, covered with grass. You could see for miles and miles, the mountain being so high you couldn't see the ground. As the are joined him dawn broke, the sun shining over the border of the earth, raising higher slowly. It illuminated his dark pelt and his gentle eyes. He smiled at her. "Like the sunrise?"

She heard the stallions soft voice and raised her head and stood, shaking her pelt before going towards where his voice came from. She followed him at a trot and carefully climbed behind him but a little to the side, just incase any rocks might slip but wouldn't hit her. Once they reached the top she looked around at the land below them in awe. Her eyes landed on the rising sun and she showed more awe. "Yes it's amazing," she said to the stallion as she stood beside him. She looked over at him and watched as the sunlight shone on his grey pelt, faintly showing his wounds. Wither's pelt almost glowed as the golden sunlight hit her copper pelt.

"I'm glad you like it. Just some of the interesting things I found while I was stuck in here..." he murmured. Suddenly he froze, like something was wrong. He muttered something under his breath that sounded like, "Why'd you let it slip, West?"

"Stuck here," she asked confused, "what do you mean? You can just leave the area you know. No one is stopping you." It was obvious that Wither was confused on what West had just said.

(Totally fine) West winced. "I guess I owe you the whole story now, don't I? Well... it all started a dark and stormy night.. no literally. My mom had just given birth to me when we heard wolf howls. They were stalking me. My mom and dad ushered me in here, hoping the wolves couldn't find the entrance but they did. My mom and dad would do anything to protect me... and my dad was a very strong. My mom held off the wolves at the entrance while dad went up to the top of the entrance, pushing against a giant boulder that was there. He pushed until it fell, causing a rockslide that crushied all the wolves, and my mom, but she was already dead from the wolves. Then my dad slipped and fell with the boulder, getting buried in the rubble and I go to trapped in here, with no parents. I trained myself every day, getting stronger and stronger till I was a giant horse, stronger than my father ever was. That took me five years... once I was strong enough I pushed the rubble out of the way and escaped. That was a month ago..." his voice trailed off and he looked straight into the sun, sadness filling his voice.

Wither listened as West spoke and felt very sorry for him. She nuzzled him in an apologetic way and said, "I'm very sorry.. But you are free now. You can go and explore all of this land." She gestured towards the land below them as the sun hit it. "Trust me it is all amazing," she says, "you will love it. Plus you can start up a herd once you find the right mare for you." A ping of sadness hit her as she said this last sentence. -Why am I sad about this- Wither thought -I just met him..-

Ben shook his mane. "You're right... it's fine... but I think I'm staying in this valley. Once I find... the right mare I'll bring them here. They'll already know what's here.." he murmured, then cut the conversation short as he trotted back down.

(Also, I'll Ben on again at around 10 30 or 11 PM, but I'm going off now)
