Setting: Outside house/in the car "I'll drive," Taytum siad as she fingered her keys. They hopped into Taytum's black Chevy truck and Taytum started the engine. She turned up her radio and rolled down the windows, blasting her favorite country songs on full volume as they drove down the road to the stables.

Charlie got into the truck and buckled up. As they drove down the rode, she sung along to the songs. She tapped her foot in rhythm to the music. "This is a good song!" She said over the music.

Setting: Car "Yeah!" Taytum called over the music, drumming her fingers on the steering wheel and bobbing her head to the beat. They were coming up on the stables driveway though, so Taytum instinctively turned the music back to a normal volume and rolled up the windows, they didn't need to be scaring any horses. She parked in the dirt lot off to the side of the stable, unbuckled, and hopped out. Edited at February 25, 2023 09:05 AM by Flying Chance Stable

Once Taytum had parked the truck, she unbuckled and got out. She walked around to where her sister was. "Do chores, then meet at the trail head with our horses?" She looked around and smiles. Charlie loved it at the stables.

Setting: Stables "Sounds good!" Taytum replied. She breathed in the fresh scent of hay and horses and sighed, the stables had to be the best place in the world. She headed into the barn and found Wish's stall, she had already been turned out for the day, which meant it was time to muck out. Then Taytum glanced back down at her feet with her sleek Ariats. They were her show boots and her riding boots and she hated getting them full of mud. Normally she brought an extra pair of rainboots to muck out but she had forgotten. Maybe her sister had an extra pair of cowboy boots that could get muddy or something in her tack locker. She didn't want to take anything without her sisters permission so she went to go find Charlie.

"Cya" Charlie walked to the barn. She went to Apple's stall first. The older chestnut mare stuck her head out of the stall to greet her. "Hey girl" She said as she scratched the mares forehead. "Back up". She grabbed the halter off the hook outside the stall. She opened the stall door and went in. She gave put the halter on Apple and led her out of the stall. She led the mare to her paddock and turned her out. "I'll be back to get you later" She told the sweet mare as she took her halter off. Charlotte walked back to the barn and hung Apple's halter up. She walked to the equipment room and got a wheel barrow and a poop rake. She went back to Apple's stall and started cleaning it

Setting: Stables Suddenly a thought hit Taytum, who had turned Wish out? Not her. Then she remembered she had told one of the barn hands to turn her out at 5 am everyday because Wish was always bored in her stall, unless she was sleeping. She couldn't believe she had forgotten about that. She shook her head, she really was tired. So tired that she almost slammed into Charlie outside of Apple's stall. "Hey do you have an extra pair of boots that can get dirty?" Taytum asked.

"Jeez!" Charlie stepped out of the way quickly, before Taytum walked into her. "Yeah, they are in my locker" She laughed a little.

Setting: Stables "Okay, perfect!" Taytum said as she walked off. She grabbed the dirty boots out of Charlie's tack locker and slipped them on. Then she went to work shoveling all of the bad shavings out of Wish's stall. Then she created a new bed of clean shavings for Wish and used a small broom to make it a perfect square, even though she knew the first thing Wish would do is mess it up. She then rinsed and refilled Wish's water bucket. After she was finished she closed the stall door and slipped her riding boots back on, then she returned her sisters boots to her tack locker. Finding her tack locker right next to her sisters, she grabbed Wish's Saddle pad, bridle, breastplate, Saddle, and leg wraps from it, her well muscled arms didn't even strain as she carried it all over to a small rack near a pair of crossties. She then went back to the locker and snatched up Wish's matching Sage green halter and strode out into the sunlight. She went down to the paddock where she saw Wish grazing with Apple and Chase. She stood at the gate, watching them for a moment, peacefully. She loved being around horses. A cars engine revving snapped her from her thoughts. A big, Fancy, black car pulled into the parking lot. She didn't know what idiot would take that fancy car to a stable, but she rolled her eyes and ignored them. "Wish!" She called, turning back to the pasture. Wish's pretty bay ears perked up and she trotted over to the fence line. Taytum opened the gate and stepped into the pasture, haltering Wish and leading her out. Just then a boy not much older than Taytum hopped out of the fancy car dressed in expensive, brand name riding gear. He approached her and Wish. Oh no, Taytum thought. "Do you need something?" She said loudly while he was still a good 20 feet away from her and Wish. "Just help finding my way around," he replied still walking towards them. Wish pinned her ears and snorted. Taytum stroked her neck gently. "It's okay," she whispered, even though she knew that it was definitely not okay in Wish's point of view. Finally when the boy was only around 10 feet away Taytum said, "Could you just stop right there please?" Confused, the boy stopped walking. "My horse has had some...bad experiences with old owners and she doesn't really like new people. She doesn't trust them," Taytum explained clearly. As if the boy didn't understand he took a few cautious steps forward and reached his hand out to Wish. Taytum, thinking quickly and not wanting anyone to get get hurt, motioned for Wish to back up, but Wish was not in the mood. "It's okay girl," the boy said coaxingly, as if the would make Wish comfortable. Wish swiftly reached out and bit his hand. "Ow!" He screamed, swearing under his breath and jumping back. What a moron, Taytum thought as Wish stepped backwards at the loud noise. She prayed that Charlie had heard the scream and come out to investigate because the boy was still standing in between the door to the stables and her and Wish. She went and dumped the wheelbarrow, then filled it with fresh shavings. She went and spread the shavings on the floor of Apple's stall, then filled the mares buckets of water and her haybag. After she did that, she rolled the wheelbarrow to Chase's stall. She stopped outside the stall and grabbed her halter. Chase heard someone out side her stall and didn't realize it was Charlie at first she squealed and ran to the back of her stall. Charlie waked to where Chase could see her. "Scared ya didn't I?" She asked the frisky mare. Chase nickered to her and walked up to her. Charlie opened the stall door and walked in. She patted the mare and slipped her halter on. She led Chase out of her stall and brought her to hers and Apple's paddock. She turned Chase out and said "I'll be back to get you girls later" Charlie turned and walked back to the barn. She cleaned the poop from Chases stall and dumped it in the muck heap. She got new shavings and put them in the stall. She filled the mares water and hay. Then put the wheelbarrow away
