As morning sunlight flitered through the windows, Christopher awoke from his small slumber and stretched. Even though they were vampires his family usually slept at night so that they could tend to their duties during the day. Chris climbed out of his comfortable bed with a groan and walked into his closet, looking for some clothes. He soon decided on a semi formal blue button up shirt, a black tie, light brown pants, and black dress shoes. Chris stood infronto of his wall mirror and ran a hand through his messy blond hair, making it seem a little nicer. With a small sigh he left his room and went over to Louis's sleeping quarters and knocked on his door.

Hearing a knock on his door, Louis paused, mid-changing. "I'll be just a minute!" He said, and hurried to finish changing. Somehow he found himself putting his pants on the wrong way round, and it took him a minute to rectify that mistake.

Chris heard Louis answer from inside and sighed some, slightly annoyed that he wasn't ready yet. Well I didn't tell him when to wake up, he thinks, so this is technically my fault. He ran his hand through his hair again and felt his vampire side grow hungry for a moment before calming down again. I'm going to have to drink some blood soon, he thinks, it's been a while.

Louis had finished changing. "Come in!" He said, in a cherry-ish voice. He went over to his bed and started putting his shoes on. It had been a while since he had worn something so high quality, and the fabric felt unnatural and uncomfortable against his skin.

Hearing that he could enter the room Chris opened the door and walked in. He closed it behind him and saw Louis sitting on the bed in a white tuxedo. "Well look at you all dressed up Mr. Handsome," he says chuckling as he crosses his arms some, a small smirk on his face.

"Oh shut up!" Louis retorted. "Your not looking too shabby yourself" He continued. Getting up, he walked over to Chris.

"Well, you should probably go see your father. Do you want me to come with?" He asked, as he fiddled with his tie.

He smiled some at Louis's reaction to his statement and thought for a moment. "Yeah you should probably come with since your technically my assistant," Chris says, "but there are a few rules, since you are an assistant and a human. One don't speak unless spoken to and even if you are spoken to I have to give you the ok to speak. Also try to not stare or make eye contact as much with anyone, they might think you are trying to be cocky. Act calm and look calm or else you might rile up the other vampires if they sense your fear. Lastly, don't wander off stay beside me the entire time and try not to fidget a lot."

"Ok," Louis replied, slightly nervous now. He followed Chris down the stairs, and into the main lobby. The lobby was dark, and mysterious, with a feeling of grandeur and importance.

Christopher walked smoothly and gracefully with Louis. He lead him to the thrown room where he father waited for him. He bowed and nudged Louis slightly for him to do so as well. The king looked at them with a blank gaze that made it so you could not read his emotions.

As he bowed to the king, he slipped a glance at Chris, looking nervous. Then standing up straight again, he focused on a point on the wall, keeping a straight face.
