Sage nodded and wrote down that she just wanted water, then shrugged slightly. "We usually get all the alcoholics in here...the lower class people who have nothing better to do than drink their lives away," he informed the girl. "It gets to be a lot during meals, but you have another fourth minutes or so before things start to get crazy. Most people are still nursing their hangovers right now," he hummed. Then he threw an annoyed glance when the cook started yelling in another language, and threw an amused glance at Claudia. "I'll see you later. I come in late, so no need to stay up until I get there," he informed the girl before running off into the kitchen again, grabbing platters and stuff before sweeping back out and giving the girl her water before going to other tables and dropping food off there.

Claudia drank the water in the glass and then chuckled, she walked back to her room. Well at least she hopefully wouldn't run into anyone...um...drunk. Once she got to the room she got changed to more comfortable clothing and then propped herself up against the bed. Well, she wouldn't be seeing anyone for the next like...two hours? So she looked around the room, Claudia came upon a small journal, and she took a bit of time reading it, it had the prices of food and drinks, but not really anything interesting. But Claudia wondered how much people paid to get drinks, the prices weren't that much but she would expect that if people kept getting them then the Tavern would be pulling in a bigger amount of money...'I wonder why Sage is getting paid so little than....' Claudia thought to herself.

Sage just kept working, all the things he had to do muscle memory by that point. Really, it was simple...just running back and forth, and around tables, carrying platters full of food and drink to tables around the room. Trying to be friendly really was the hardest part...he had a temper, and was more likely to punch someone for insulting him than anything, but he had to keep his cool in this situation. Not only could snapping at a higher up get him hung or whipped, he couldn't lose this job. But it was hard to ignore the whistles and cat calls and touches and everything else that went on as he moved about. It ended though, eventually, around ten thirty. By the time he cleaned up, he didn't even bother changing, since he had to be back by six in the morning. He just staggered into the room Claudia was in, trying to stay quiet but too exhausted to do anything but close the door and flop into the chair tiredly. He fell asleep pretty much as soon as his head his the armrest....he might be sore tomorrow, but he'd take the sleep.

Claudia smiled when Sage entered the room, he looked tired...she wanted to ask how it went but thought better of it. He was very tired, he needed to sleep. And she herself needed to sleep to, Claudia turned off the side lamp. It was surprisingly very dark, she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. Claudia sighed and laid down, covering herself in a blanket, it defiantly wasn't the most comfortable, it was lumpy, and it was cold...she didn't know how a blanket could be cold but it was. But it was better than nothing, it was at least what she could have hoped for, for the first second night away from her home. Claudia wouldn't complain, after all, there were some people who had it worse...soon Claudia had fallen asleep, sound asleep.

Sage woke up with the sun, as was usual for him. He slept lightly, since he never knew who would try to sneak up on him or...whatever else might happen while he was out. He sighed and shifted so he was upright in the chair and stretched before looking at the clock and sighing quietly. He had about an hour before he had to be down there, so he grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper to draw. Drawing was always peaceful, and he was rather good at it. He ended up drawing the girl....she looked almost like an angel while she slept, so he decided to capture the moment. He had to leave much too soon, but he set the mostly finished drawing on the side table and slipped out of the room, heading for the kitchens and hustle bustle of the tavern.

Claudia groaned, the light of the sun coming through the window blinding her. She covered herself with the blanket, trying to cover up the blinding light. It was no use though she groaned again, annoyed, and sat up, looking around. Claudia's eyes landed gently on Sage, she smiled, "Good Morning, sleep okay?". She stretched, yawning along with it. She had a decent sleep, not the best but not bad. At least she had gotten some sleep, she wondered when Sage came in the night before, she knew she had been awake, but barely. Hopefully, it hadn't been too late...he needed the sleep.

Sage glanced over at the girl when she spoke and nodded. He stifled a yawn, so as not to make it seem like he'd gotten no sleep. He had ....so really it was alright. "Morning," he hummed. "I slept fine. How about you?" He did hope she'd slept well ...it wasn't a luxury bed, by any means, but it was better than the forest he supposed. And he did want her to be happy. She was nice, and he liked her, so he wanted everything to work out for her. Only, he couldn't say that out loud. "I have to leave soon though. I got set up already so I have some time before I have to actually work". He was still in his work clothes, but they weren't super duper uncomfortable, so he could manage. " I slept pretty well, this bed isn't that bad." Claudia chuckled. "It's better than sleeping in a tree and having a large chance of falling." she smiled at Sage, noticing he was still wearing the same clothes from the night before. She yawned again before swinging her legs over the bed, so she was sitting. Claudia put hr hair up in a bun before looking at Sage again, she saw the piece of paper he was holding. She cocked her head slightly, "May I ask what are you drawing?". Claudia wasn't a very good artist herself but she loved seeing other peoples, seeing other art somewhat calmed her mind, washed it away. Especially if it was very good.

Sage have the girl a grin and nodded. "It can be a nice place when I get a chance to enjoy it," he chuckled. He blinked slowly and then looked down at his paper before holding it up with a sheepish chuckle, a light blush tinting his cheeks. "You looked like a better thing to draw than like...the lamp," he hummed, rather amused by it all. "It's not done, but I have to leave soon so it'll have to wait." He did rather like drawing the girl...well, more than he usually likes drawing. Which, he wasn't really sure what this all meant. He liked her, he knew he did, but somehow it felt like it should be more. They barely knew eachother though, and she'd never want him any more than as someone good to talk to. That was it. He wasn't exactly good boyfriend material, if that's what he was even going for. He didn't even know. Edited at January 20, 2023 06:59 AM by NightClan

Claudia walked over and looked over Sage's shoulder, she blushed slightly, "Aw." he had drawn her...she didn't remember anyone doing something like this for her before. She smiled and looked at him, "That's very sweet...but why would you draw...me?". Claudia felt her cheeks burning, but she couldn't help it, this was very cute. She bit her lip before going back to sit on the bed, Claudia glanced at Sage before laughing, "Are you sure you don't want to change your clothes? I mean, they can't be very comfortable.".
