He snapped out of his trance and shook his head. "No, no I can wait for that," he said, "besides I actually enjoy my job more than my paycheck. Even though a little money is nice every now and again for taxes."

She grimaced, "Not the taxes" she shook her head, "Father always liked to wrestle people out of their money" she looked out the window while she talked, "Sorry about that".

"It's fine," he says, "by the way will I have to find a place to stay outside of the palace or do you guys have an extra room I can use? I don't exactly have a permanent home since I bounce around from client to client." Edited at February 10, 2022 07:16 PM by Paranormal Pastures

She thought, "really I'm not supposed to do this. guards sleep with the maids but i csan Get you a room for yourself".

"Thanks," he said, "besides I wouldn't want to make them uncomfortable or anything with me being in there."

"Anytime" she nodded, "Ya its always been awkward, the maids complain but they always get turned away. I always give them more coins during the day, my dads pay is horrible for them"

He nodded, "Yeah that makes since. They are basically glorified serfs when it comes to their job." (Serfs we're basically lower class peasants that had to work on a Lord or King's for them)

She nodded, the carriage came to a stop and she hopped out. Once again giving the horse an apple then headed toward the Royal barn. She went into a room, "Mind staying out there?" She closed the door behind her.

"Hmm," he said thoughtfully, "it doesn't look that bad but wouldn't it be better if I was inside the palace? I mean what if someone breaks in and tries to capture you, I wouldn't really hear anything out here."

She opened the door, "I have vocal cords, I can scream" she closed the door again. "Just give me a second" she walked toward a wardrobe in the 'tack room' and took out a change of clothes, "Hate this stupid dress" she mumbled.
