Sage felt a small smile drift onto his face when she tightened her hold on him. It was rather silly, how such a small movement ould make him feel so happy...but he wasn't going to question it. It was just nice to cuddle up for a bit. He chuckled softly at the girl's comment and hummed as if in thought. "Maybe, though you won't get me to admit it out right," he noted with amusement. "And it only applies when I'm with certain people and in certain places and situations," he giggled. Really, he wasn't this laid back unless he was with her or Silas, or the doctor or Anya. They were about it...even when the two of them went shopping or went somewhere that wasn't the norm, he definitely wasn't as laid back or cuddly.

Mari hummed softly to the boy before shrugging. She gave him a bit of a squeeze before gently pecking his upper neck. "Well, with me then you're a softie, huh?" She asked with an amused laugh. She poked his side playfully. She did quite like it when he was cuddly like this... it was sweet, and a completely unexpected from him. It was really very cute. "My softie," she teased him lightly. It was cheesy, for sure, but they were alone... she could afford to be a bit cheesy. It was fun. And they weren't normally a cuddly couple unless they were going to bed.

Sage giggled and wriggled around for a moment when she pecked his neck and poked him before stilling and cuddling up again, a delighted grin plastered on his face. "Just for you I'll be especially softie," he joked lightly, though it was true. He chuckled lightly at her next comment...they weren't normally cheesy unless they were alone, and most of those cheesy comments were directed towards more intimate things. So, that was admittedly nice to hear even if it was cheesy. But he could be pretty cheesy himself, too, admittedly.

Mari chuckled softly to him before resting her cheek on his head. It was nice to see him like this... more open and relaxed. She knew this was cheesy, but she also didn't get to see this much... and she enjoyed being the one holding him. "Just for me?" She asked in a more childish voice. She pulled the blankets up after a moment before settling down on the pillow, a soft sigh escaping her. She wasn't exactly cuddly normally... he was always tense and worried and stiff... so being able to have him in her arms, where he was comfortable and safe and relaxed was of course wonderful. He was a bit of a baby, really... but it wasn't a bad thing at all. "You're such a child, you know that?" She asked in amusement.

Sage chuckled lightly, humming happily when she pulled the covers up and over them. He tilted his head up slightly so he could peer up at the girl happily and gave her a grin. "Just for you," he agreed with a chirp. Then he hummed lightly and shrugged in response to her other comment. "Maybe. But you like it," he giggled, giving the girl a comically wide grin that he was most definitely exaggerating. He could be a bit of a child....but he'd never gotten to be a child when he was, well...a child, and he was still rather young he supposed. So really, she should probably have expected that to happen.

Mari hummed to him when he gave his grin before shaking her head. "Imagine what your guards would think of you if they saw you now," she told him with a laugh. Her fingers were still playing with his hair, gently running up and down his back. But she couldn't help the slight pride that burned in her chest. She was the only one he was like this with. He was comfortable with the doctor and Anya, and he relaxed with them, but he was only like this with her. It was sweet, it really was. Mari nodded when he said she liked it. "I love it," she told him lightly before gently running her hands under his shirt to move them about.

Sage chuckled lightly. "Half of them have a sweetheart and are probably the same way. The other half would think you placed a spell on me," he admitted with a chuckle and amused shake of his head. He shifted slightly to cuddle in more, a soft smile drifting on his face as she ran her hands around. He really did like it when she played with his hair...it was an odd thing, he supposed, but it was a comforting and relaxing one. He giggled lightly when she admitted she loved it, rather pleased with himself at that one. He let out a squeak when she slipped her hands under his shirt, wriggling around for a moment. "You're cold," he whined with a slight laugh, though her hands warmed up quickly against his skin and was limpeted back onto the girl happily.

Mari chuckled in amusement to the boy before shaking her head again. "Half of them think I'm a witch?" She asked with a laugh before settling down next to him, though still kept her arms wrapped around him, on hair in his hair and the other under his shirt... it was late now, they'd spent a little while on the bows, but it was certainly worth it. They were cute, and matched their more elegant, natural theme quite well. She just had to tie them to some chairs on the day and they'd be fine. "What have you been telling them? That I make potions in my spare time?" She rolled her eyes a little bit, though her voice was as filled with amusement. She giggled quietly when he squirmed from the way her hand ran on his back, certainly cold enough to reward such an action... it made sense. She was tired, and she'd never quite gotten her warmth back once she'd been shot... maybe a few more weeks and she'd feel more alive again. "And you're warm," she babbled as she tightened her grip on him.

Sage snorted in amusement and rolled his eyes. "No, but seeing me like this might make them think that," he chuckled, joking around with her again. At her next comment he nodded. "Oh yeah, I'm spreading all sorts of rumors about you feeding Silas your experimental concoctions," he said in a rather sarcastic tone. He huffed out a breath at her comment about him being warm, a light chuckle rising in his throat. "You're lucky I like you so much," he teased lightly.

Mari hummed thoughtfully to the boy. "It might do... oh well, they're probably right. I admit it, I did put a fun little potion in your food," she joked lightly. She had to admit, it anyone who didn't know him a very well it was probably odd to see him like this. She'd thought he was a bit icy when she first met him too. She just held him close and gave a soft sigh. "Me? Feeding my son experimental concoctions?" She gasped to him before shaking her head. "What are these concoctions meant to do, Sage?" She joked lightly. She then shook her head at him. "No... you're lucky I love you so much," she treased lightly.
