Iris watched with half amusement and half concern as Caden dangerously drove into the parking lot, ordered, and "enjoyed" his drink. She laughed at his reaction and said, holding back more giggles, "Maybe now you'll be so caffeinated that you will be able to outrun the cops when they catch you speeding down the highway."

Caden laughed, pulling his helmet back on. "I betcha I could, i'm probably going to." He noted, driving back onto the exit, waiting to get on the interstate. "911 what's your emergency? Oh nothing, i've just turned into an eagle!" The man mused, eyes wide with excitement as he went fast as possible down the highway, leaning down closer to the bike as he went.

Iris sighed, smiling. "Caden, what's the speed limit there?" Was all she asked, but the exasperation and worry were clear in her voice.

"Eighty!" He yelled over the sound of the engine, connecting the audio from his phone to the one in his helmet, which also had a mic in it. Caden glanced back down at the speedometer, seeing it read one-fifty.

"...And what speed are you going?" Iris prompted, still smiling as she watched him speed down the highway. She was happy when he was happy. It was almost always that simple. Right now she was happy, but also scared that he would crash.

Caden was quiet for a moment, lane splitting as he drove before speaking quietly. "160..." He murmured, continuing on down the road. Blue and red lights started flashing in his mirrors, the man's smile dropping as he slowed down, pulling over before reaching for his wallet, surprised when it wasn't there and only his card. "I'm so getting arrested," He muttered to Iris, paling slightly.

Iris smiled at his answer and was about to ask him to slow down when he saw the smile drop from his face. She lost her grin as well when she heard the sirens and his words. She fumbled with her words for a minute in shock before managing to say, "...You-- wh... Just, um... Call me back?" She didn't bother waiting for his answer and hung up, knowing that being on a phone while driving was illegal. She felt bad for abandoning him like that but what was she supposed to do? The best she could do was pray that he didn't lie and the officer wasn't too hard on him... But being idle while Caden was likely getting arrested was nearly impossible.

Caden looked back, hoping to see a cop so he wouldn't for sure get arrested, knowing he was doomed when he saw it was a state trooper. "Great..." He muttered, the trooper starting to walk up. In the split second he glanced around, seeing the off roads he could take to go hide. Also knowing he had tape on his plate to where if photos were ever taken it made digits not show up, he flipped down the visor of his helmet, hiding his face completely. The state trooper opened his mouth to speak, only being greated by the rev of the engine as Caden sped off, eventually turning into the city and darting through streets, making sure his trail was lost before driving to hide under a bridge, becoming hidden. Turning off his bike, Caden sat in silence, tensing when he heard sirens pass by over head. Once they were gone, he merged back onto the interstate, driving off towards home.

Iris needed to do SOMETHING. She didn't care what it was as long as it distracted her. She stood up and started tidying up the already incredibly clean kitchen counter. She put away clean dishes, re-ordered spices, unplugged the toaster, and wiped everything down with a wet rag. She found a mop and began mopping the uncarpeted floor.

|
-DIDN"T GET ARRESTED :D - He sent the text once he got home, putting his bike up before shutting the garage, walking into his house. Caden yanked off his helmet, tossing it off before splashing water on his face, realizing how terrified he was in that moment.
