She propped herself up on an elbow and watched him with a soft expression

I turned in my sleep, unknowingly dragging all the covers off of Kayla as I bundled up, having some weird ass dream of cows and grapes.

"Rude" She muttered, getting up and getting dressed. She felt a sharp pain in her belly, causing her to gasp and sit on the edge of the bed, panting through the pain

Gale remained fast asleep, the dream still carrying on.

Kayla winced, standing and getting dressed as she stepped awkwardly from the room, the pain becoming greater. "Holy shit..." She muttered, a servant running over. "Are you alright, your majesty?" She asked politely, worry on her face. "Doctor" Was all Kayla said and all it took for the servant to sprint off to get the doctor. SHe leaned against the wall, still breathing throught the growing pain. The doctor arrived and helped her to the medical wing of the castle, getting her on a hospital bed while another servant sent for Gale. The servant frantically pounded on the bedroom door. "Sir! It's the queen! Sir Gale!" She said frantically, anxious. Kayla was getting checked over by the doctor, the doctor noting the baby may be coming

I had already gotten up and around, about to go look for Kayla when the pounding on the door started. "Sir! It's the queen! Sir Gale!" I froze, yanking the door open as one word escaped my mouth. "Where." The servant was breathless, pointing measily in the direction. "The medical wing--" With that I took off, knowing it had to be something to do with the baby--my son. I burst through the doors, spotting her as I rushed over, full panic setting in. "What the fuck. What is going on?!"

Kayla's face was contorted in pain. "He's a week or two early but he's coming" The doctor explained to Gale. "We've done all we can for now but until she's actually birthing him, there isn't much else. The pain killers are doing nothing-" The doctor was cut off by Kayla's voice. "Gale..." She panted, "Come here"

(oh the urge to write "My hands went straight to my head, mouth agape. "BROTHER I WAS HAVING THE BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE----Wait, babies can DECIDE when they're born?!") I just stared at them in shock, not knowing what to feel as I probably made the wackiest face known to man. "They can just...decide when to come?" I muttered, head snapping up at Kayla's voice as I walked over, crouching to eye level as I took her hand in mine. "What is it? I'm here---do you need anything?---you're going to be fine, I know it" I rambled on

lmaoooo) She nodded, whimpering in pain. "It hurts worse than last time..." She breathed

My face paled slightly, eyes widening somewhat. "It hurts more than being sliced open by a searing hot knife?" I asked, the room going silent as I glanced around. "Oh don't even, we were in the middle of no where!"
