Sage hummed lightly when he felt the girls arms tighten around him, and he was more than willing to let her draw him in closer. He closed his eyes, and soon after that he fell asleep again. He hadn't really meant to, but he supposed he wasn't surprised, since he'd barely slept for the past few days. And it was peaceful now, and they had the time...and he had dearly missed this. So, he was more Ethan happy to let himself drift off again. Though, it was a light sleep, so when she woke up he would. He wanted to be there to help if she needed him, not sleep while she was struggling with something.

Mari slept for a few more hours, wrapped around him tightly, not willing to let him go for a second. She didn't want to let him leave... she was almost scared that if she let him go he'd just... go. She didn't want that. She held onto him until morning, when she relaxed a little bit. Her side was better now... it hurt still, a lot, she'd been shot so she could expect as much, but it was better. She woke up soon enough, her head buried into the side of his neck softly. "Good morning," she whispered to him, letting out a long, deflating breath.

Sage shifted slightly in response to Mari's voice, burying his face in her hair with a sleepy hum. "Morning," he sort of mumbled half asleep. He stilled then, after having stretched a bit, and settled back down with a soft huff of air. "How do you feel," he asked after a moment, hoping she was finally healing after having not moved ver much for a while. Hopefully, she could heal quickly, or at least, as quickly as possible given their situation, so they could get back to their room and all the rest.

Mari hummed quietly, taking in a deep breath before sighing. It had been about a week since she'd even been out of bed... a bit longer and she was sure she'd be able to go back to her room. Then they could get their wedding back on track... if that was what he still wanted. "Better," she whispered to him, drawing shapes on his chest as she woke up a little bit more. "I need to get a shower," she mused quietly. She wanted a shower more than anything... getting to relax would be nice. She wasn't really relaxed in here. "Will you stand outside encase I like... die in there?" She asked with a weary chuckle.

Sage hummed lightly, waking up a bit more as the girl ran her fingers along his chest. Sage hummed lightly and nodded, humming "good," then after a minute he reconsidered and hummed again. "Why don't I join you and we take a bath," he suggested. "That way you can sit down, and relax, not stand and wash yourself." He shrugged slightly and added, "besides, I need to take a bath too," he admitted with a chuckle.

Mari lightly huffed out a breath of air after a few moments, a slight sigh of approval approval escaping her. That was fine. She wasn't sure how she felt about sharing a bath with him, though. Normally, it was fine, but she was just a exhausted. She hadn't been eating properly and she'd been so, so worrried that Sage didn't want her anymore that she'd lost weight... a lot of it. She. Didn't know what Sage would have thought. Eventually, though she nodded her head. He'd get over the issue of her weight soon enough, and plus... he did make for a good pillow to chill out on.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded, sliding out of bed and reaching his arms out to help the girl up. Slowly. It took them a very, very long time to get to the bathroom, and he helped the girl sit down on a stool while he got the water to a good temperature and settled things there. Then he helped her get the dress off and into the tub before he undressed and slipped in beside her. He started washing her hair happily...she'd liked it before, and he didn't want her stretching too much, so it worked well. Once he was done with her, he worked on himself, just very glad to be able to help and actually do something.

Mari let the boy walk her around for a little while, just flopping back into him after a few moments. She felt horrible... but she was getting used to the whole being looked after thing. She just sat like a potato, starting down at the water. It did feel nice, and once the boy had finished washing her hair, she just leaned against him quietly. "Do you still want to marry me?" She asked hesitantly. She wanted to marry him... so, so much, but if he really thought she wasn't happy, did he want to be?

Sage was more than happy to help the girl out a bit, and he had to admit a bath did feel nice....they were both pretty gross, he supposed. He wrapped his arms around her happily when she leaned into him, careful not to touch the wound. He rested his chin lightly on her head, content to just sit there in the warm water for a bit. He was rather surprised at her question, and hummed lightly before pressing a kiss to the top of her head and leaving his nose buried in her hair. "Of course I do," he murmured. "What reason would I have not to," he asked, cocking his head. Was he doing something that made her think that? Because if he was, he wanted to change it. He loved her, so, so much, and the thought that he was doing something to hurt her or make her think he didn't love her made his entire chest tighten up.

Mari just shrugged and leaned back into him a bit deeper. It had been nearly a week since he'd asked if if she was happy... if he made her happy. She did love him, and she wanted to be with him, but she supposed she'd been worried that he hadn't felt the same as her if he loved her as much as he said he did, or if she made him as happy. He said that she did. He said, that he wouldn't leave her. Okay. She believed him. But not leaving her wasn't the same as wanting to stay, or that he still wanted to marry her. "I don't know," she whispered. "I was just a bit caught off guard, when you asked me if I was happy. It scared me, and I suppose I've just been thinking about it too much. You do make me happy, very happy, but do you feel the same? Be honest," she whispered after a few moments.
