Dakota nods, still slightly nervous

Elijah holds her hand. The nurse looks to Elijah then back to Dakota. "You want your husband here with you?" She asks

"Yes." She said, squeezing Elijah's hand

She nods. "I'll have you lie down in the bed" she says. Elijah helped Dakota up. "I'm going to put a gel on your belly. It might be a bit cold. This will allow us to do the ultrasound"

Dakota nodded, slightly flinching when the doctor applied the gel. She laid there, staring at the screen on awe. She refused to let go of Elijah's hand, still a bit worried. She watched as the grey and black danced across the screen. She slightly gasped when the doctor pointed out the baby

The doctor smiles. "There's a hand, there's its head" she points out the limbs as she moved the device around. "Looks healthy, in the correct position" she tells them. "Would you like to know the gender or keep it a surprise?" She asks them.

Dakota looks at Elijah, indifferent.

Elijah shrugs, "would you like to know, babe?" He asks Dakota gently

"Kinda." She said, squeezing his hand gently

Elijah nods, "Then we'd like to know the gender then"
