Zephyr looked completely innocent when Ryan came in. He was an AMAZING actor. He also was still humming on the inside and super pleased. He looked up at Ryan, who was (taller or the same height as?) him. "Lots of drawings. She is really good at drawing." He chirped sweetly, then snorted. "Crazy? Who spilled my secret." He couldn't help but say, rolling his eyes slightly. Zeph didn't speak since Sophia responded for him. He slowly looked to her. "I might just have to leave." He said apologetically. "I reaaaally don't want someone in an air force uniform to come parachuting in here just to smack me and tell me to come home." He half joked. "So they might pick me to pieces on the way out, but I'm good at answering questions quickly."

Sophia grinned at some of Zephyrs comments and rolled her eyes at others. "So you mean you probably have to leave now?" She looked at Zephyr with wide eyes. She got up and crossed her room faster than she had before "I just need one more" she said before she threw her arms around him and kissed his lips. +The principal would kill me if I did this at school. + she thought before she pulled away. "Sorry. Again. " she looked down, but her cheeks were flaming and her insides were buzzing.

"Yeah... probably. Sorry." He answered, apologizing again because HE didn't want to leave, and only looking a little surprised when she came over again- but more to his own internal surprise, he melted into the kiss again like it was the one thing in the world that had ever happened. Still he couldn't help but think how many people would outright murder him if they saw this. "Don't be. I'm sure glad I came over, though. You need to come with Ryan to school more often so I have no choice but to drive you home." He joked, though his smile was a bit wobbly, as if he couldn't believe what was happening. "Okay, now I really got to go. Bye, Sophia." He said with a nod and another smile, and then, stealth mode was on, and he managed to disappear without a trace, and not have her parents even see him. (Because he's just that awesome lol) He went straight for his truck once he was outside, then looked a bit longingly towards the window for a second before driving away and steeling his mind to focus on the road so he didn't crash. Zeph still couldn't completely focus, though. His brain was reliving the moment over and over and he felt like his heart had melted.

"I'll see if he can drive me tomorrow. Game tomorrow too..." she watched him leave with longing eyes. She ran to the balcony door, careful not to touch the doorknob, and waited for him to leave. She pressed her fingers against her lips. She jumped around for a second before hurrying downstairs and eating a quick dinner with her family. When she went back upstairs and pulled out a notebook and wrote down everything that happened, not wanting to miss a single detail

Zephyr drove home practically gripping the wheel and half staring at the road half letting his brain wander everywhere. When he got home he was, of course, confronted by his father. His 6'6 giant of a red head father that only looked a LITTLE irritated.

"Zephyrus Riptide Lawrence, where have you been?" He demanded, crossing his arms. "I gave you a phone for a reason, young man. There is this new fangled thing called TEXTING that I THINK you've heard of." He huffed.

Zeph winced slightly. His full name. Never a good sign. "I was hanging out with a friend. And I apologize for not texting you, it escaped my mind." He answered, still not paying too much attention. It was almost like he could still feel Sophia's Lips against his.

"Hanging out. What are you, a sloth? Yeesh." His father then raised an eyebrow and stared at him for about 5 minutes. "Okay. Who's the girl." He finally said.

Zephyr snapped his gaze back to the tall man with wide eyes. "What- how'd- what girl?" He asked, though his voice trailed into a slightly sheepish wince.

"What do you mean WHAT GIRL. Don't play dumb with me. You do that enough already." His father snorted.

Zeph lifted his hands in surrender. "Okay okay, don't bite my head off. Sophia. And I was just helping her with some things and you are not allowed to speak a breath of this to my mother and I'm exhausted so goodbye." Zeph went to escape when he felt his father's hand stop him.

"Nuh huh young man. Turn around. I don't want you doing anything stupid, eh? God gave you a brain. Don't let it shut off. Use it." His father commanded.

Zephyr could tell there was way too much hidden meaning behind that message that he didn't want to decipher, so he nodded and left, escaping up to his room with a sigh of relief to find his sister sitting on his bed. "What- why are you here! Out! My room!" Zephyr explained, dropping his bag.

His sister grinned. "SOPHIAAAAAA. That's an awesome name. I'm going to meet her. You can't stop me. And I WILL BUG YOU ABOUT THIS FOR ALLLL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. I hated Lydia anyway. She was a stuck up jerk- how you didn't see it earlier I can only FATHOM. Anyway byeeee!" She chirped and fled.

"I hate you!" Zephyr groaned, shutting, and locking his door, before walking over to his desk and slumping down. ARGH. It was hard living with his family. He spent the rest of the evening, to his shock, drawing, late into the night. Their first kiss. He really hoped there'd be more to come. Zeph sighed and dragged his hands down his face, collapsing into bed to stare at the ceiling.

Sophia managed to get some sleep. She smiled as the past few hours played again and again in her head. She fell into a deep, refreshing sleep. One she hadn't gotten in a long time.
Sophia woke up with a wide smile. She got to see Zephyr again today! She limped up when she noticed something on the ground outside her balcony door. It took her a second to realize it was a nerf bullet. "Oh no" she looked around outside before seeing all the bullets were on the floor. "Shoot!" She quickly changed into a cute top and leggings. Gingerly, she opened the doorknob. No firing. Blake had tried to come in again. She sped downstairs, scarfing down a bowl of cereal. She got Ryan to drive her to school, but he was not strong her stay silent. She managed to get to her locker before smiling again

Zephyr awoke in the morning to bright sunlight streaming in his window, which he had forgotten to close the shades on. He had also forgotten to change out of the clothes he had worn, but it was a minor detail as the memories of the past day came washing back, bringing a bright smile to his face. He had rested well, and felt ready for the long school weeks ahead- mostly because every day he went to school was another day he got to see Sophia. He had enough time to brush through his thick hair, discard the clothes he had worn yesterday and pull on normal blue jeans this time instead of black, and a plain dark green t-shirt. Not much, but about as colorful as he'd ever get. He glanced at himself in the mirror and paused, running a finger over the long thin scar now on his cheek. It looked a lot like the one Sophia had, but a little longer. He wondered how she had gotten her scar. Most likely something more heroic than crashing onto the ground. He winced and shook his head, going downstairs where he ate some eggs prepared by his mother. After a cheery farewell and some stares because he was acting happier than normal, he gathered up his stuff and drove to school. Once there Zeph hauled his bags in and went to his locker to make sure he had everything.

Wait. Sophia has a scar?)

Sophia saw Zephyr and headed over as fast as she could without running. "Hello!" She placed a slim hand on his shoulder. "I have a game tonight! Are you coming?" She tilted her head, her brown hair falling over her shoulder and partially covering her face.

Zephyr looked sideways as he heard a familiar voice, his eyes lighting up when he saw Sophia. "Hey! And of course I'm coming, silly. If I don't have anything going on, which I don't, I wouldn't miss it for the world." He joked with a smile, which really seemed to light up his face more than usual. "I have a game tomorrow." He suddenly remembered, tilting his head slightly as he thought.

"You have a game? I'll be there!" She nudged him softly with her shoulder. "I'll see you in art!" She thought of the drawing in her backpack with a gulp. How would he respond? Was this the right time to show him? It was too late now... she was already speaking. "I have something to show you. In art"
