Ajax pretty much vowed to himself right then he wasn't gonna leave Mercy. If he has to sit in an apartment and stare at the wall, that was fine, because if he left again... Grady would come. He opened and closed his mouth once or twice, trying to think of the words to say before speaking. "We can go to- to your apartment if you'd like. Or if you'd be more... comfortable there." Ajax said quietly, but he also had a different idea that he may prefer a little more. "I also neglected to mention.. I have a roughly built cabin a little ways away.." He would much rather stay in his own cabin, since he needed to do things anyway, but if Mercy didn't want to leave her apartment that was fine with Ajax. He was most definitely going to follow her everywhere now, whether it looked weird or not. -Bodyguard time- Ajax thought with a slightly wilted look.

Mercy watched him quietly, interested as he proposed the cabin idea. "I would love to stay in your cabin, that sounds wonderful. But... can I bring Binx?" She asked, reaching up to toy with his hair as she gave him a pleading look completed with possibly the best puppy eyes she could muster.

Ajax looked at her with a slight nod. It almost looked like he might have started thinking about smiling, but it didn't happen. His eyes narrowed slightly at the mention of Binx. "Yes, you can." He answered almost immediately. It wasn't fair to keep a cat away just because he didn't like them that much.

"Yes! Thank you." Mercy smiled, giving him a light peck on the cheek. "So, when do we leave? I can't wait to spend time with my favorite person." She asked lightly, attempting to cheer him up some with her normal antics.

"Pfft... he's your pet, not like I can keep you away from him." Ajax snorted, though the side of his mouth twitched just slightly. "Well you kinda need to, ya know, get Binx, don't you? Plus whatever you want from your apartment." He pointed out with a slight eyebrow raise. "So I suggest we go there first. It's not like I have any belongings to bring from this desolate cave."

"Oh, right. Duh." Somehow that hadn't occurred to Mercy, but she was a little scatterbrained at the moment. "Alright then, let's go." She grinned, tugging at his hand gently before she took off toward her apartment. It wasn't a very long fly, and she was quick in throwing together a bag of belongings that happened to also fit Binx. He seemed quite pleased, sitting comfortably in her backpack with his head popping out.

A small smile threatened to worm its way onto Ajax's face at Mercy's comment, following her before slowly flying up into the air. The silver tips on his wings flashed as he angled them towards the apartment, a little behind Mercy. When they got there Ajax waited just inside the door, snorting when he saw Binx in the backpack. "If I tried to do that with Rex ... it wouldn't work." He chuckled just slightly, starting out when Mercy looked ready. When they were outside Ajax let out a whistle and the dog came bounding out of the bushes. He then launched himself into the Air, flying away from both the cave and the apartment. Rex ran along the ground almost in Ajax's shadow, and Ajax wasn't flying as fast for that purpose. He led the group past a couple mountains and through some valleys before they came to a forest that sprawled out in a big valley between a couple giant mountains that surrounded it like a dome. A lake sat right in the middle of the forest. Ajax dove down towards the lake, skimming the water with his hands before going towards shore. The deepest part of the lake wasn't very deep... at most 20 feet. The lake was so clear and sparkling you could see everything under its surface. A little closer to the shore, the old wreckage of a plane was visible... just a small hush plane, but still, a plane. Ajax flew over that and landed on the shore, heading for a well beaten pathway. He walked through almost a tunnel of trees before appearing in a clearing not far away, where a quaint log cabin stood with a fence that could have been used for horses in the clearing next to it. The logs looked rough, as if Ajax cut them himself with an axe... which he did. He had built that cabin himself with not the best tools. Still, the craftsmanship was impressive considering what he had to work with. Ajax opened the door and entered into big room. To the right, a small kitchen with wood counters and wooden cabinets stood. No oven, dishwasher, microwave, or fridge was visible. That really didn't make sense because the cabin had electricity, including running water. Ajax had installed the pipes himself, again, and all the wiring himself, again. They weren't completely in the middle of nowhere, since there was a small town 10 miles away. To the left was a very small living room-ish thing, with an old, faded couch and another old leather chair facing an old tv. Everything was old. There was a hand knit rug on the floor, and hand sewn drapes over the windows. Then there was two doors in the back of the cabin, one leading to a bedroom and one leading to a bathroom. The bathroom had a small sink, a small shower (thankfully) and a toilet (you would hope so). In the bedroom was just a completely normal and boring single twin bed with black sheets and covers. The closet had, like, two shirts and a pair of pants in it. All black. The drapes over the windows... black. The rug? Can you guess? Hand knit and black. "SO I didn't build this with two people living in it in mind... you can have the bedroom and I'll sleep on the couch. It is plenty big enough, and very comfortable. If you want I can sew some more colorful comething or other because black can get bland after a while." Ajax addressed Mercy.

Mercy chuckled at him, closing the backpack a little and swinging it on backwards so it sat in front of her. "That's because he weighs as much as you." She teased, taking off after him easily. She brushed her golden wingtips against his silver ones every now and again, teasingly, as they flew. She was quite intrigued the whole way there, specifically when they got to the lake. She was quick to get into the house and let Binx out so he could sniff about, looking enchanted by the quaint little home. She tilted her head at his comment and took another look at the bed with a measuring look. "I mean, I'm pretty small, so we can probably fit in together, if you don't find that awkward. The couch doesn't look very comfortable." She shrugged nonchalantly, looking at the black decor with a little smile as she ran her hand along the kitchen countertop. "I dunno, it kind of suits this place."

Ajax watched as Mercy looked at the roughly put together wooden cabin, his eyebrows just about shooting off his head again as she mentioned the bed. (he would probably die again before that happened). He used his black eyebrows in almost every expression he made, but they tended to *almost shoot off the top of his head* a lot. "Um, no thanks, the couch will work just fine. Believe me, I've slept there many times before." Ajax answered with a small wave of his hand, turning and looking at the rug in the living room which was, joy of joys, a mixture of royal blue, navy blue, and black. "The black? Oh that's good, because sewing is a lot of work and I have other work to do. I have to make myself busy somehow, and this cabin has always needed a little extra... so I'm building another room onto the house." He snorted, going to open a cabinet and pull out a first aid kit, peering inside to make sure everything was still... there. "If you can call this shabby two room relic a house." He chuckled a little, leaning up against the doorframe and looking at Mercy. "So, will it do for Your Higness ... only for a couple weeks, a hope?" Ajax asked with a small smile.

"Ouch. I'll try not to be too insulted." Mercy teased, giving the couch a worried glance. "Are you sure you don't want the bed? It's bigger than the couch, and I'll sleep out here if you like." She suggested, always the people pleaser. She glanced around before answering him with a sarcastic tone. "It'll have to do, yes." She huffed. "But, you're upgrading the house? Can I help?" She asked eagerly.
