Sage sort of sat there for a while after Quinn left, trying to figure out if she'd left bc her mind went straight to dinner, if she was flustered and running from it, or if she was disgusted by the kiss and had run so as not to hurt his feelings. And he really couldn't help but feel like she was running from him. After a while he sighed, knowing she'd bring something back. So, he forced himself up and made a fire, for her to cook the meat on. He gave the girl a smile when she came in, though it was admittedly a fake one....not that anyone had ever been able to tell that. "Looks delicious," he chirped. "I made a fire," he told her, gesturing to the fire he was curled up by.

"Why thank you." She smiled at him... and it was not fake. Quinn skinned the pig quickly... she was good at that skill. She then put the meat on the fire and sat down by Sage, cuddled up near him and waiting for the fire to cook the *bacon and pork and ham*. (*named my favorite meats lol*) She sighed happily and leaned her head on Sage's shoulder. Finally... maybe things would turn out great between them. Who cared what her mother and his father thought... it was just them now.

Sage watched the girl skin the pig, feeling a bit guilty again that he wasn't doing more work. Though, he didn't quite trust himself with a knife that close to his fingers when his vision was still a bit blurry. He was half surprised when she rested her head on his shoulder, but then his reasoning told him that was just how Quinn worked. He smiled after a moment, a real smile, and wrapped an arm around her after a second.

Quinn felt happy and safe near Sage... even if she was roasting a pig. She was warm and comfortable... and really couldn't be happier at the moment. Unless she was actually eating the pig.. of course. Quinn sighed slightly. "I almost wish the rest of our lives are going to be like this. Of course, with both of us in perfect health. Just sitting by a warm fire... together... getting ready to eat wild boar.." Quinn chuckled slightly. Her voice got quiet again. "It just sounds so... perfect."

Sage hummed lightly in response to the girl and nodded with a soft sigh. "That does sound quite lovely," he hummed. Unfortunately, he didn't think that would actually happen. They'd always be on the run from someone. But, they could get used to that, right? They could fight, they'd be alright.

Quinn looked up at Sage. "Maybe they'll never find us here..." she said... but without much confidence. She didn't want to be on the run her whole life... she just wanted to live alone. In nature. With just Sage and the horses. The boar finished cooking, so Quinn drew it off the fire And gave most of it to Sage. "Eat up.." she said quietly, sounding sad

Sage nodded, humming lightly. "Maybe." He didn't think it would be possible, but he supposed he could always hope. He gave the girl a thankful smile when she handed him the boar, though he cocked his head slightly when she gave him most of the meat. "Aren't you hungry," he asked. He knew he ate more than her, but not that much more. Boars were big....and she'd barely kept anything for herself.

Quinn looked at him. "I'm nit that hungry, go ahead." She murmured. She ate her small piece slowly... she wasn't really hungry, it was true. Quinn knew it would be move stop move stop move stop. Once Sage got better they would have to move from this place... but only when he was all better. Quinn was getting sleepy... she was exhausted.. full.. warm.. and comfortable.

Sage pursed his lips worriedly but nodded and dug into his food heartily. He ended up eating all of the meat she'd given him, which wasn't unusual for him. He was quite full by then, and ended up yawning wide enough for his wolf like canines to flash in the setting sun. "Why don't we take an early night," he suggested rather tiredly. Quinn looked exhausting too, so why not.

Quinn opened her eyes slightly, yawning. "That.. is a great idea." She murmured. Quinn decided she would sleep outside by the fire tonight. She got up, walked into the cave and grabbed the blankets, walking back outside. "Here." Quinn said quietly, giving Sage a couple blankets. She sat back down near him with a blanket wrapped around her.
