Sage felt his shoulders relax slightly when the girl reassured him she was alright. Though, he of course still worried. "Are you sure," he asked, still obviously fretting over her quite a bit. "you hit hurt pretty bad," he whispered, voice half breaking before he caught himself. He smiled slightly when she wrapped her arms around Silas. "He's fine," he informed the girl. "He's missed you, but....he's alright. Someone's been feeding him while I'm asleep," he informed her, running a tired hand through his hair. "I don't know who it is though," he admitted softly. He was a bit surprised when she asked if he was alright, though after a moment he realized he should have expected the question. He wasn't alright....not really ...but she'd been asking if he was hurt. "Just some scrapes and bruises," he hummed, forcing a smile onto his face for the girls sake.

Mari nodded to him, trying to be reassuring, though she knew how... hard it'd be to trust that. She was alright enough, and that was all that mattered. She was sore, and achey, and hungry, but... it was fine. It could have been a lot worse, and she knew that. She was just... thankful to be here. Her baby at her side, and the man she loved at the other. She looked down to little Silas, who'd fallen asleep pretty much instantly once he'd been placed at her side. She gently stroked his side with her thumb, then looked back to Sage when she heard the slight break in her voice... god, that hurt to hear. She had to swallow the slight lump in her throat, so, so guilty for making him so anxious. "Please don't be upset," she whispered to him. She should have gotten out the way... she knew something would happen, so why didn't she get out of the way? She just didn't want him to be sad with her. She nodded softly when he said he was alright... good, that was all she wanted.

Sage was just thankful that Mari was awake and talking. If she was already that much better, then she'd get even better from here on out. He looked down at the baby when she stroked him, a soft smile edging into one of the corners of his mouth. He did look peaceful. And the joy at seeing her son was definitely nice to see. He squeezed her hand when she seemed to get upset when his voice cracked....he'd have to make sure he kept his voice even. She needed to rest and heal....not worry about him or Silas. He slid on next to her, and wrapped an arm around her gently, with a soft sigh. It was just good to see her awake and talking.

When he wrapped an arm around her, she flinched the tiniest of bits in fear that he was going to touch her stomach, though the movement did more harm than anything, and really the warmth of... well, him, was a comfort. His scent... she turned her head into him after a couple of moments, tucking her nose into the crook of his neck, where he was the warmest. She still had a hold of baby Silas, who was gripping onto her side as he slept... he did look a bit better, but still not as bright and bubbly as normal. She hated the quiet, though... or maybe she'd just missed their voices. "Can you talk to me," she whispered, her voice crackling as it wasn't used to being used in a day or two. "About anything, just keep talking," she pleased quietly.

Sage jumped when the girl flinched, momentarily terrified he'd hurt her somehow. But that fear soon stopped when she cuddled I to him. He wrapped his arms around her and began to run his fingers through her hair in what he hoped would be a comforting manner. He hummed lightly and nodded when she asked him to talk...he'd talk, of course he would. He just had to find out something she'd want to listen to. "Silas is starting to sit up by himself," he murmured. "He's been trying to get up so he can see out of his crib, and he's been really good at it," he chirped, though he kept his voice quiet since he figured he'd head would hurt. He went on and on about the boy until the girl had fallen asleep, and then sunk down next to her with a sigh. Well, he wasn't laying down all the way...there wasn't enough room for that. So he was propped up a bit against the headboard. But he didn't mind...Mari was going to be alright. (It would be nice if the queen sporadically checks in on them lol. And has been the one feeding Silas? Up to you, but I think it's be cute)

(Ahw yeah, that'd be sweet! I'll do that in a bit because it's really late with me aha) Mari fell asleep soon enough, more than content just listening to the sound of Sages voice. Man, she'd really missed it. She wasn't sure how long it'd been... a day? Maybe two? But it felt like the longest time. His fingers running through her hair was amazingly nice too... it never really happened much, and she'd misjudged how actually incredible it felt. Or maybe any touch felt nice as long as it wasn't hurting her... that seemed a bit more likely now. When he said Silas was starting to do things like sit up a lone, she felt a small smile on her face, but it slowly faded when she realised she'd missed it, She hated that so much... she wanted to cheer her baby on, because she knew while she was like this he wasn't getting as much attention as he needed... well, she'd have to make up for that when she was better. For now, she just wanted to sleep peacefully, so, so badly.

Sage kept running his hair through the girl's hair even after she fell asleep, gaze lingering on her face. It looked so much more peaceful than when she was awake, which made his heart seem to lurch in his chest. He wished she could be better, and feel better, but he knew it would take a while for that to happen. But for now, they were peaceful...her and Silas...and they were asleep and happy enough. So, he closed his eyes and let himself drift off. He wasn't in the most comfortable position, but he didn't want to leave Mari.

Mari slept for quite a while... but it was fitful, but the rest was welcomed all the same. Baby Silas had started to coo at some point, and although she could hear it, she couldn't bring herself to wake up... her hand had slipped from her side in her sleep, so it was just resting next to him. She was grateful for Sage, though... she would have felt a lot worse if she hadn't had him next to her. He couldn't have been comfortable, and he probably had things to do... but his warm arm was certainly welcomed. - The queen has been seeing to the child for a few days now.. the doctor said it was alright, and to be honest she missed having something to look after. Anya had always been very independent, so being able to care for the baby was nice. She poked her head in to see the three of them cuddled up together, as they were quite a lot of the time now. She could hear the baby weeping quietly for his food, so gently scooped him up into her arms, him so that he didn't wake his parents before getting one of the warm bottles for the child to latch into. She sat for about and hour with the child before placing him back in his crib so that he couldn't fall out of bed at all.

Sage slept for a while, before the pain in his neck and back woke him. He slid out from where he was at, hoping he didn't wake the girl. He slid down, then, letting Mari's head rest on the pillow before cuddling up into her side again. He was careful not to hurt her, and avoided the bandages around her torso. He noted that there was an empty bottle on the table, and Silas was napping quietly in his crib, so whoever had been there caring for the boy had taken care of him. Near as he could figure, if was either the doctor or Anya, though he wasn't sure he cared. It was just helpful....they were both so tired, so the help was definitely welcome.

Mari woke up about two hours later... her stomach was aching furiously, and all she could do was groan in complaint. Her side hurt anyway, but this was just... uncomfortable to say the least. She felt Sage at her side, and turned her head into him to try and ignore it... but it was awful. She needed nutrition to get better again, although she didn't want to disrupt Sage. She went to grab the last of her crackers and nibbled on that before groaning and gently poking Sage. She hated to wake him up... but she couldn't get comfortable. "Sage," she whispered softly to him. "Can you get me something to eat?"
