Sage let out a yelp when the girl splashed him, and he halted for a moment, blocking his face before ducking under the water to chase her where she couldn't splash him. He popped up next to her with a grin and a giggle, wrapping his arms around her waist for a moment before releasing her so they could both still swim, and the ducked down under again, swimming away from the girl, eyes glittering happily.

Mari looked a bit confused when he disappeared, looking around as though she was trying to find the boy. "Sage?" She asked, though then he pretty much grabbed her she let out a squeal of laughter before he disappeared again. A grin formed on her face as she scrambled after him, looking around the water to find the boy... when she finally found him, she grabbed him by the shoulders, though made sure he could still keep himself afloat, a delighted-sounding chuckle escaping her when she finally managed to get him.

Sage could feel a wide grin splitting his face when the girl chased after him, eventually letting the girl grab his shoulders. He was really just happy to mess around for a bit. Eventually, after a while of swimming around and chasing eachother, sage swam back out of the lake and flopped down on the grass, in the sun with a grunt. He was exhausted....he was panting, and he closed his eyes, sort of just sprawling on the ground. "You have a lot of energy," he chuckled to Mari, who looked just as tired. He had plenty of energy, he knew, but he was still ready to just lay around for a bit.

Mari grinned and crawled out the water before flopping down next to him, a bit of a chuckle escaping her. "Well, I'm more of a child than you are, so I suppose that makes sense," she chuckled lightly to him before resting her head on his chest with a bit of a hum. "We never get to do this... I don't really think we ever did get to do this before Silas," she hummed quietly, "Just mess around," she sighed to him.

Sage hummed lightly and chuckled in response to the girl's comment, wrapping his arms around her when she lay down next to him. "It's nice to get away for a bit," he admitted, absentmindedly running his fingers through her hair. "We should dry off and start getting back soon, though....I do hate to leave Silas for that long. I'm sure the doctor has things to do," he hummed. He did miss the boy....this had been fun, but he was getting ready to want to go back and just relax in their room for a bit.

Mari nodded quietly to him in agreement. "We need to have a honeymoon when we get married... have a few weeks like this," she told him with a bit of a smile. Silas would be old enough to stay with the doctor or her mother by then, so in theory, they should be able to. She nodded softly to him before shrugging. "Yeah, I suppose, I want to give Silas a cuddle," she mused lightly. She was tired... but in the best possible way. She'd had a nice time with Sage, dinner and shopping, then coming here... so she was more than happy to go back.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded eagerly. "We can find a place by a beach or something," he mused. He suddenly had the idea to ask Anya or the queen if they could borrow one of their vacation homes for the honeymoon...it was in a wonderful location, backing up to both a beach and a forest, and they wouldn't have to spend nearly as much money as renting a place out. He wanted it to be a surprise for Mari though, if that happened. He chuckled when she mentioned giving Silas a cuddle and nodded, sitting up and tossing her dress in her direction before reaching for his own clothes.

Mari caught her dress and smiled lightly to him. "That'd be wonderful... just somewhere quiet. And warm, too. It would all be nice," she chirped lightly. She stood up and slipped her dress over her head before wandering over to their bag full of things. "Ready to go?" She asked happily. She was really getting more and more excited for their wedding... for their future. Even if it might not be a very long future together, she was excited all the same.

Sage smiled and nodded, now definitely determined to ask someone about that. Really, he should ask the queen herself....but he was still sort of terrified of the woman. "That sounds perfect," he chirped happily. He got dressed fairly quickly, and then nodded in response to her question, reaching out to take her hand as they started walking back. He made up his mind to ask the queen about the vacation home when they got back....he still had to go down to the yard, so he could stop at her office then.

Mari nodded in response to him again... she just wanted to get back to her baby now. They went through the village, though, and she spotted about three men looking their way before disappearing... it did freak her out quite a bit. They had a bag full of things that were a bit pricy for being in the slums, so she was nervous to be having them all on show. She just stuck close to Sage, though, despite the slightly uneasy feeling.
