Elara shrugged lightly, noting heavily of him settling down next to her rather than across or, not beside her. Anyways, she chuckled slightly at his comments, swallowing what she had. "We all do it, get caught up in your project and forget to eat." She mused, giving Varys another small chunk.

Sage hummed softly and nodded. "I'm still getting used to having enough food to have three meals a day," he admitted, watching the fire spin around and flicker over the logs, setting his now empty plate on the ground. "Though I can confidently say I'd rather not go hungry again," he added, phrasing it as a joke despite the very real concern. The fear that it would all end.

"Don't get used to it, doubt we'll eat two once winter hits. Maybe only one a day," She said quietly, voice laced with the very real concern of it could happen. "Yeah, i'd rather you not, either." Elara agreed, flicking her gaze up to him.

Sage hummed with a nod, though it was a sort of tight one. Winter would be hard....he knew that. "We'll just need to store up what we can," he sighed. "Smoke a lot of meat and dry out vegetables and stuff. Maybe bring some food plats inside where it's warm and they'll grow through the winter," he suggested. Things like lettuce would be easy to keep going inside.

"Yeah, just grow some through the winter and keep that. Then smoke the meat and maybe we'll have enough to last, maybe." Elara spoke softly as she did, casting her gaze out into the open past the crackling fire.

Sage nodded with a hum of thought. "It would be nice to be able to raise some chickens or something out here," he noted, looking around at the land. "I'd have to be able to build a coop warm enough for them and a fence, but it might be a good idea to keep some animals that aren't too expensive to care for or anything."

|
"I didn't een think of chickens, good idea. Just build a decent coop and okayish fence to keep Varys out and boom. Should be easy enough," Elara agreed, smiling softly.

Sage nodded with a hum. "I'm trying to figure out how I'd be able to get lumber and everything out here," he noted. It might just be a next year thing ...but it would be nice to have.

Elara hummed lightly in response, thinking. "We could go get us a horse and have it drag some logs if we cut them about a half mile away from here. Just tie it to a tree at night, let it graze."

|
Sage hummed softly in thought, nodding along. "That could work," he noted. "It would require a lot of money, and a trip into town." A trip to town would be risky ..but a horse would be helpful. It would need a barn or shed though too.
