Trixie pressed herself against him, nodding hesitantly. "Good." She murmured, looking at the wound once more before focusing back on him. She listened carefully to him, quiet so he could figure out what he wanted to say. She didn't know much about returning to the real world- She kind of figured you simply... vanished. At his words, she took a moment to look at him in disbelief before it sank in. She had no idea how to fight it. There was no way to. She was to be completely helpless when her favorite person vanished, never to be seen again. Touched, held, joked with. As this wave simply smacked her across the face, she blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "I love you." She whispered quietly, doing her best not to tear up as she laid her head on his shoulder. She was fully expecting to get shoved away for saying stupid shit because her brain couldn't put together non-awkward strings of words, but she could enjoy him while he still tolerated her. Panick attacked her next, and she was tempted to try and fix it, change it. Somehow. But her mouth physically wouldn't move.

The sound of Kitty's three-word phrase had stopped Matt's breathing for a good 30 seconds, and he could only blink his composure back. What she had said had answered his earlier thoughts; yes he had fallen in love with her. "I love you too" he said quietly, looking her in the eye as he spoke. For someone who said a lot of fake, unmeaningful stuff you could tell he really meant in. But it was probably the most bittersweet moment of his life, he had fallen in love with the girl he was never ever going to see again after a couple more hours, if that. "I figure I should probably explain what'll happen" he started slowly, carryong on regardless of what she said. "They've given me some sort of injection which'll make me black out..whenever. They've also mixed it with a ton of morphine, its a painful system injection. Once I end up blacking out, i'll basically just be..gone. One bright light and then i'm not there anymore, thats it. I think i've got a couple hours if that? But you need to be careful, if you're caught with me it'll happen to you too. And then god knows where we end up. I lived in Italy, so we wont be together at all in real life" Matt explained, swallowing the tears.

Trixie blinked rapidly as he spoke, her breath completely stuck in her throat. She stared back at him and she was pretty sure she could melt into a little puddle right then and there. She felt so enthralled, but it was like she was already feeling grief-ridden. She managed breathing again after he continued, choosing to stay quiet as well as she tucked her head under his chin to lay on his chest. She swallowed as he finished, looking up at him. "What if... what if I go back with you? Yes, I'll end up somewhere completely different, but we have more of a chance at being together there than with me here, right?" She asked desperately, giving a little sigh.

"I doubt it, the worlds not one small town Trixie. Especially if we're in different countries." Matt sighed, pulling her in closer as he leant back against the cold marble fountain. "Plus I really dont want you to have to go through what I did with the guards, the nurses and the police, its..well its just one big thing of pain" he added, settling both his hands on her waist, closing his eyes for a split second as his head started spinning. "We should go..inside. Anywhere" he added, signalling towards the shouting and the neon lights from earlier. The police.

"I would do that if it means there's even a remote chance we can be together." Trixie said stubbornly, lifting her head to look him in the eyes. She glanced around at the shouting, leaning forward to press her lips to his forehead again before she stood, pulling his hoodie off and giving it to him. "Put the hood up, too." She suggested softly, reaching for his hand. "We can go back to mine, it's not very far."

Matt took the hoodie and pulled it on, taking Trixie's advice to put the hood up. He smiled weakly, though his expression was very obviously filled with sadness. He knew it was too late, they'd know she was with him. But finding her without the equipment they used to find Matt would be different, in fact, it would be easy for her to hide in plain sight. "We should hurry then" he mumbled quietly, stumbling back across the gravel, his head spinning again.

Watching him stumble, Trixie quickly inserted herself under his arm, wrapping her arm around him in turn. "Then let's get to it." She smiled, keeping her head down and sticking to darker alleys and streets to get to her house. It wasn't far at all, really, and she let him in through the back. She helped him to her bedroom, which was simply decorated with a large, canopied bed. As soon as they entered the room she closed the door behind her, pulling herself closer to him and giving him a slow, sweet kiss. She was really going to miss him when he left.

i feel like instead of having to write about trixie getting caught, she could just be pulled with him into the glitch anyway? seeing as their bonds quite strong?)

Matt pressed the kiss back into Trixie best he could, though he could hardly see straight by that point. He was weirdly warm, and as he opened his eyes he had to grab her arm, to avoid tripping. After about a minute or so his head had calmed down slightly, and he sat on the bed looking up at Trixie, shielding his eyes from a bright light that wasnt really there. "I'll miss you" he said quietly, hs voice faltering again.

Trixie gently helped him to the bed, pressing him back to lay down so he was more comfortable. "I'll miss you too, love. But it's alright. We'll find each other." She murmured softly, sitting beside him and gently stroking his hair. "Do you need anything?" She asked quietly, curling up and watching him anxiously.

"Trixie, you know we wont. I dont mean to be so pessimistic but its..true" Matt sighed, settling his head back on the pillow and staring up at the ceiling. "No, i'll be okay. Just make the most of the time I guess" He said queitly, shooting a weak smile in her direction before pulling her onto him, placing another kiss on her lips, though a lot softer than he was usually able too.
