Regan nodded slowly to the boy before shrugging. "I'm just surprised they haven't found a way to protect us from it yet," she murmured, then flopped back in the water. "We're not dead yet," the girl told him before flopping back in the water and submerging herself in the warmth of it... and it still was very cozy. She hadn't been in warm pool for ages.

"YET which means we are still alive NOW which means we should enjoy this time. Stop focusing on what COULD but might NOT happen in the future." Tyler joked, leaning back in the water and glancing up at the sky. "Plus humans really aren't all the brightest. In general, I mean. We do stupid things like TRY to kill our selves... not me and you specifically, but, for instance, the people who smoke. So I wouldn't expect humans to figure out a way to stop the virus." Tyler shrugged, closing his eyes and breathing in the warm air.

Regan felt her heard drop a little bit when he started to joke. She was very nearly one of those stupid people who'd tried to kill themselves. If it wasn't for Millie, she probably would have done it too. She disappeared under the water after a few moments, holding her breath for as long as she could before popping her head back up. "I do hope you're right," she hummed quietly.

Tyler tipped his head slightly. "Yeah..." he trailed off. Tyler dove underwater and came up a little ways away, tilting his head. (Tyler always TIPS his head, never TILTS it.) He could hear something... Tyler recoiled as a giant wolf leapt out of the bushes, splashing down almost on top of him. He yelped and disappeared under the water. The wolf obviously had rabies... it was foaming at the mouth, snarling and biting at everything near it. Including Tyler. Tyler swam quickly through the water away, bursting up with a gasp and scrambling out of the water.

Regan hummed doubtfully... she did hope things went back to normal. She wanted her family back. Her house, her school, her perfect little life... she wanted to go back to normal, but she knew that wasn't likely to happen any time soon. She had just resurfaced when she saw the splash of the large wolf. She jumped a little before racing to grab a knife, then chucked it to Tyler so that he could defeat himself... though it flew straight into the animals skill. It dropped within a matter of seconds, but soon enough she'd darted over to the boy, fussing over him as she made sure he was alright.

Tyler opened his mouth to say something and closed it again. Filly he looked at Regan. "Oops..." was all Tyler said. He knew that sounded stupid after what happened.. but it was really all he could think up. He was surprised he didn't notice the wolf earlier.

Regan just stared at him when he said his little oops. Really? That could have ended so horribly and all he had to say was oops? She fussed over him for a few moments, looking him over, making sure there were no cuts or the animal could have injured him. "Are you alright," she eventually murmured to the boy before sitting down next to him with worried eyes.

Tyler couldn't he,p but smile slightly. "It was all I could think up at the time... like Martin Riggs saying 'oops' after he made a building explode in Lethal Weapon." That last sentence he mostly mused to himself... what a great movie series that was. Tyler glanced over at Regan, immediately feeling bad when he saw how worried she looked. "Yeah I'm fine... not a scrape on me." He offered a comforting smile, glancing back at the dead wolf less than a foot away from him.

Regan was admittedly a little worried when the boy just started to smile... had he hit his head or something? He must have. Was he really the alright? She just stared at him for a while. "Tyler now isn't the time for laughs," she whispered to him before frowning. "Are you sure you're alright? You didn't hit your head or anything," she murmured again.

Tyler couldn't hold back a laugh now. "Well... I am a bit crazy, how did you not notice? I promise I'm okay, and I didn't hit my head." Tyler assured her, hiding a smile and forcing his face to be emotionless again. He glanced at the wolf, standing up. "Well we had better be getting back to warn the other people." Tyler said curtly, starting to stride back towards camp
