Sage chuckled lightly at her comments and then nodded. "Oh, I know I can get affection from you whenever I so please," he chirped. He wriggled about slightly when she poked him, and then hummed with a nod. "Why not," he hummed. Then he yawned. "But...food first," he half pleaded. "I'm rather hungry to go wander about," he chuckled lightly. He wanted to wake up a bit too...and he was cozy, cuddled up ...so they could wait a bit, surely.

Mari nodded quietly before forcing herself up, quickly going to feed the child before setting him down. "Do you think he'd be alright if we left him with the doctor? I don't want him to be left alone," she hummed in thought. She did just want to spend some time alone with him, she really did. She offered him her hand to help him up after a few moments and gently patted his shoulder. "Food first," she agreed quietly. The two of them waddled towards the kitchen, and she made a nice little fry-up for the both of them. She handed him a plate after a moment or so and gave a bit of a smile. "You Highness," she teased to him before sitting down next to him with a soft sigh.

Sage yawned and sat up with a kind of grunt when Mari got up before nodding. "I think he'll be fine. The doctor doesn't really have any patients right now, and I'm sure he'll love to see him," he mused. "Gives him a chance to spoil the boy rotten," he chuckled lightly. He smiled and took her hand when she reached towards him, happy to waddle after her as she wandered to the kitchen. He wasn't sure what all was on his plate, but it was delicious, so he supposed he didn't really care. He chuckled and shook his head, amused at her joke. "Thank you, my good lady," he responded, with a dramatic bow, trying not to let a laugh escape him, though his eyes were practically glowing.

Mari hummed softly to the boy, eating happily before turning to look at him. "I'm no lady, you've already told me that," she hummed lightly. She pecked his cheek before getting up to clean the plates up. "I'll come get you from the yard after work," she hummed lightly before slipping off to go and work in the queens quarters. They'd had a good few days... but she did need to get back to work, because she didn't want the queen to think she was slacking off because of her family... because she still did enjoy her work, but at the moment her family needed a bit of extra attention.

Sage chuckled lightly and gave her a grin. "True. But you're still pretty like a lady," he chirped. He nodded when she said she'd come get him, kissing her goodbye and hopping off down to the barn. He had a feeling the doctor would enjoy a few hours to spend some time with Silas...and Silas did seem to enjoy being with the doctor, too. He fed all the horses pretty quickly, and spent some time with chaos before deciding to start getting some tack on Mystery. She was still a bit young to ride, but getting a saddle on her soon would be a good idea. So, he grabbed her halter and clipped a lounge line onto it, bringing her and a saddle and blanket out with him. He brought a bridle too, since getting her to take a bit easily would also be helpful in the long run. He knew it would take a while, since she definitely had some spirit, but she'd be a good mount one day, he was sure of that.

Mari went off to work fairly soon, picking up clothes and flat ironing dresses... just trying to make everything tidy for the woman. Like Sage had said, she got up to cook her a nice lunch, too... she was just trying to make her a bit happier. The woman seemed more than pleased with her meal, though... she was glad. She'd had fun with it too. She soon enough finished though, and went to feed Silas before taking him down towards the ward. She put him down in a crib the doctor had, and quickly lectured him on how the baby was... even though he already knew. She was worried that he wouldn't be alright... that something would happen, but soon enough she was sneaking up on Sage once he'd put Mystery away. She snuck up behind him and jumped up on his back playfully. "Hey lover," she hummed in a sarcastic tone.

Sage had taken a while with Mystery, since the filly had a fierce temper, just like her mother, and a stubborn nature. She really wasn't very pleased with learning to take a saddle or a bit, but once she let him place it on her back without moving, he let her go back to her stall for the day. She was a nice little filly, and he was just petting her nose when Mari snuck up on him. He was surprised, but quickly looped his arms around her legs to keep her steady, a chuckle rising in his throat at her comment. "Love you too," he chuckled with amusement, tilting his head back to look up at the girl happily. "Are you done," he asked, figuring she was, but just making sure everything was settled before they went off on their own.

Mari grinned when he wrapped his arms around her legs... she was about to jump down, but she was a little bit stuck. "I'm the mother of it our child, you're meant to," she teased lightly before nipping the back of his neck playfully. "Yep, all done," she chirped lightly. Before pressing her cheek against his lightly. "Was Mystery good? I saw you putting her away," she chirped happily, tightening her arms around his shoulders with a happy smile. She was excited just to go and do something fun with him for a bit... it had been. While since they'd spent any time alone.

Sage hummed lightly and let out a kind of giggled when she nipped at his neck. He nodded in response to her question, and then shrugged. "She's as temperamental as her mother and as stubborn as her sire, but we made do. Got a saddle on her after about three and a half hours of chasing her around," he noted with a slight it of amusement. "What are you wanting to do, then," he asked the girl lightly, cocking his head to look at her happily. He was really up for anything...they'd go out to dinner, he assumed...they'd talked about it the other day, but surely there was something else she wanted to do. Look at homes or shop for the wedding, even. He didn't really care, as long as it was the two of them.

Mari chuckled lightly to him before humming gently in thought. "You're stubborn and temperamental, so I take it you got along just fine," she joked lightly before letting out a bit of a breath. "I was thinking we could stop and pick up some wedding decorations. I saw some cute ribbons not long ago... and we need invitations, too, even though everyone going they could just ask verbally," she chuckled lightly. She wanted this to feel like a proper wedding... she loved Sage like hell, and she only wanted things to go perfectly. "It's outside, so we can just doll it up a bit... get some candles out and some nice chairs... it'll be wonderful," she told him excitedly. "But we can eat first... then maybe drop by the lake?" She asked with a cocked head.
