The rising sun cast it's rays on the two fighting, Gale's eyes wide and determined as he slowly started losing strength, feet sliding against the stone as he was pushed back against the railing, teetering on the edge. The man glanced down at the long drop below before at the sword at his throat, reeling his head back as the blade drew closer to his skin, Gale starting to struggle despite his efforts. "I...I don't want to hurt you--" He choked, pausing as the intruder slammed his head against the railing. "--but it's my wife you're going for--" SLAM. "--and my son." Slam. Gale's ears rang as his vision doubled, using everything left in him to push the intruder back, quickly twisting his arm before hoisting him over the railing, watching as the man fell before landing, going completely still. The man swayed for a moment, turning towards Kayla before his knees buckled as he fell forward, head banging against the stone as his world went black. |

"Gale!" She exclaimed, hurrying to him and taking his head in her hands gently. "Gale, please, wake up!" She begged, gently setting his head on the stone and grabbing a pillow and bandages and thread |

Gale's eyes fluttered, jaw slack as his eyes remained rolled back. The thin red line at his throat shimmered with a coat of blood, nothing major yet continuing to bleed as though it was. |

Kayla hurried to him, sewing the cut and gently bandaging it and placing his head on the pillow. "Please, Gale, be alright." |

Medics quickly burst through their door, the main priority being keep the queen safe---oh yeah, and the criminal. |

"I'm perfectly fine. Help him. Now." She said, authority lacing her tone |

"Your Majesty are you sure? You seem stressed, are you okay?" The medics fussed, continuing to ignore Gale besides two. |

"If you don't help him, it is treason!" She yelled, fury coursing through her |

The medics paled, darting over to him as they started evaluating his injuries. One pried his eye open, noting it was still rolled back and he was still out cold. "Once we get in there get a table ASAP. Gonna need a vat of water , towels, bandages, and anti bacterial, as well as someone to get these stitches out!" One snapped, three others lifting him onto a stretcher before rushing out. |
