He let the silence settle around them, the faint murmurs of conversations made by strangers in the background. "What did you decide on?" Caden asked, taking a sip of his rum. |

"Gonna guess you're not too hungry?" He asks, wanting to have a simple conversation. |

"Gotcha," Caden mused, the faint wind ruffling his hair as he looked out at the twinkling city below them. His pierce blue eyes searched the buildings, finding one for the company he worked for looming in the background above all others just by a hair. |

Rose watched his face- his breathtaking face -and smiled. "I love you" She said softly, smiling a small smile |

"Love you too," He responded, looking over at her and opening his mouth to speak before he heard a engine rev and his head snapped over to the side as he looked down at the road below. "Holy crap is that a DBS?" Caden asked himself, eyes tracking down the car as it sped through the street before fading out. He looked back over at Rose, as if he didn't do that. "So uh, what were we saying?" |
