Ellie furrowed her brows slightly. She couldn't tell if he was upset, worried or just cold. Perhaps all? "Sam, it's fine, honestly," she smiled to break the slightly awkward silence. She shuffled around a little, so that she was leaning against the tree next to him.

"ok." sam said, a small yet warm smile flickering to life on his face. After a little while sitting there peacefully, Sam said "should we go? i think my fingers are gonna fall off." he ended with a small laugh, getting up off the ground and stretching just a little.

"As much as I'd love to watch your fingers fall off, I'm getting a bit chilly too." She smiled before gathering all of her things and standing up. She blinked for a moment after being on the ground for so long before looking at the path they had come there on. "Maybe we could come out again when it's a little warmer and go camping or something," she said thoughtfully with a questioning look at Sam, as of waiting for approval.

Sam gathered his stuff, blowing on his hands in an attempt to warm the cold night air. "good idea." he said thoughtfully. "do you know, i've never been camping. always wanted to.." he added. (sorry short!)

(Its fine!) Ellie gave him an odd look when he mentioned he hadn't been camping, "Jeez, never?!" She asked as though she was confused. "Reall are a pretty boy aren't we?" She teased with a chuckle. "Bur it would be fun. We could do marshmallows and stuff." Ellie smiled

"nope, not once." sam said, laughing a little at her comment. "nah, Dad was always too busy for my, sent me off to bording school." he said. "you know, stiff and proper English boy boarding school. i was there for 5 years." he said, a little sadly. "i guess i missed out a bit on normal family actiities like camping and stuff." he said as they both walked slowly down the shadowed path.

Ellie instantly stopped the jokey attatued when she felt sam becoming upset. She simply couldn't imagine not going out with her family, even if it was just with her brothers. "We can do all that stuff now." She said absent mindedly. "We haveca few years on our hands before either of us should have to leave, we can do the family stuff." She said with a smile. "And you went to boarding school? I always thought ot would be quite fun, was it not? Maybes I've been watching too many movies," she said with a shy chuckle.

"yeah we cold." Sais Sam, a little happier."god, boarding school was hell. nothing like the idyllic English scene you see in the movies nowadays." He said. "oh well, im free to do what i please now, so thats a plus, right?" he added on a lighter note, trying to bring the mood up a little.

"Very true." She nodded before looking around as the sun had completely disappeared. It was getting colder by the minute and the dark gave everything a sinister feel. She shivered slightly before picking up her pace, "Maybe nextime we should being a torch or something," she noted as she dug out her phone and turned on the flashlight, but it soon died. "And the cood drained its battery," she complained with a huff.

Sam shiered a little at the shadowy cold. He drew out his phone, but like Ellies, it only had 5% battery. Despite it, he flicked the torch mode on, and watched it flicker out. Sam exchanged a barely-seen worried look with Ellie. He had head of dangerous cougars and animals in the woods at night. "Stay close" he whispered.
