She wiped her tears. "Either way I went through nothing compared to you and I feel like shit because of it. I'm not hungry anymore." She said, turning and leaving as tears continued to run

"Ka-" He cut himself off, watching as she left. The chef appeared, musing something before Gale snapped at him, leaving the opposite direction as Kayla as his mind raced. How did she know it still haunted him? Saints above, he got chills just thinking about it.

Kayla went to the rooftop, trying to avoid servants and the council as she sobbed

Gale climbbed up onto the stable roof where nobody was, the sunlight shadowing his figure as he sat in silence, staying almost statue still.

When the sun set, Kayla stayed up on the roof until late. It was nearly midnight when she went to their room and climbed into bed
