Sage snorted at the girl's tease and rolled his eyes. "Would you rather me have lept at you like it was the last time I'd ever get to do that again," he chuckled lightly. He wandered into the bathroom soon enough, though, and undressed before sliding in next to Mari happily. The warm water did feel nice...and he supposed his muscles were a bit sore. That just came with being up at night and all the rest, he supposed. Well, and the worrying about two different people. But either way, the water felt nice, and it was good to be with Mari too.

Mari hummed softly at his comment before giving him a bit of a smirk. "I wouldn't have minded," she teased him lightly when he slipped in next to her. She washed her hair quickly before turning around to face his back. She could see how tense his shoulders were... which, to be honest, was very, very tense. She hummed softly before running her hands up his back and to his shoulders, gently massaging her thumbs into them before pecking the back of his neck softly. "You need to relax more," she mused gently to him, continuing to massage his shoulders... he'd liked it before... and he did deserve a bit of love and attention, considering she'd spent a lot of time with Silas recently.

Sage just chuckled at the girl's comment, shaking his head slightly and washing his hair quickly. He let out a surprised squeak when the girl ran her hands up his back, then let out a sheepish chuckle at her next comment. "Maybe," he admitted, half leaning into the girl's hands, a small smile crossing his face at her kiss. "But at least I know if I'm worrying about you two I'm doing something right," he mused with a note of amusement to his voice. It was dumb, probably, but it meant he cared...and he was always much more tense before he meet Mari, so it was fine. But, the massage did feel wonderful. He could admit that.

Mari rolled her eyes at his logic before chuckling. "Or maybe it means I'm doing something wrong to make you worry," she teased him lightly. She kept on with his little massage for a while before wrapping her arms around his sides with a bit of a smile. The water was still nice... running over them lightly. She rested her head on his shoulders for a few moments before chuckling. "It's nice to know you care, though... I just wished you could worry without tensing up like this," she then mused gently, her fingers tracing up his torso as she buried her face into the crook of his neck.

Sage chuckled lightly and shook his head, knowing that he'd worry no matter what the girl did. He just cared about them...that was it. But she was just joking around, so he just took the tease with an eye roll. He leaned into the girl once she'd finished her little massage, more than happy to just sit with her for a bit. Well, stand, he supposed. He smiled lightly at her last comment and hummed lightly, trying to ignore her hands running up his torso and focus on just spending time with her. "Well, believe me when I say I definetely don't worry as much as I used to," he murmured. "I'm fine." He knew she worried too...but old habits still plaugued him...and tensing up, being ready to jump into action at a split second's notice...that had kept him alive, so it was just habit. And it wasn't likely to go away, either.

Mari hummed gently to him before wandering over so that she was actually facing him. The girl nodded to him when he said he didn't worry as much as he used to... well, she supposed that was true. He hadn't had any nightmares in months... and he just seemed better in himself. Yes, he'd lost a bit of weight, but he looked better now... he was eating and working, so really she didn't need to worry so much about him. "I know, I know," she hummed gently before pecking his lips. "And I'm proud of you... you've done a lot over the last few weeks," she told him gently as she ran her hand up his chest, resting them on his shoulders.

Sage hummed and smiled at the girl, leaning forwards to press a kiss to her forehead, wrapping his arms around her waist when she placed hers on his shoulders. "So have you," he pointed out. "We both knew a new baby was going to be a lot of work. And he's not an excessive amount of work, either," he hummed lightly. It did mean a lot, though, whenever Mari said something like that. He still wasn't used to compliments, but they did make him feel all warm and giddy, especially if it was from his close people.

Mari smiled softly to the boy before shaking her head... they'd both been through enough recently... and she was proud of both of them. She grinned up at him when he pecked her forehead and leaned into him a little bit when he wrapped her arms around her. "He's pretty good... he's quiet, isn't he? He only cries when he's hungry," she told him with a bit of a chuckle. "But, I mean, you should see me when I'm hungry, so it makes sense," she then added highly. She leaned up to peck his lips again with a small smile. "I think we got pretty lucky with him," she told him gently.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded, a smile crossing his face at the mention of Silas. "He is," he hummed. And then he chuckled and nodded, a teasing grin growing on his face. "Put you together when you're hungry and you could take over the world," he chuckled. "But I love you anyway," he giggled, acting as if that was a big deal. He nodded at her last comment and smiled happily. "We sure did," he chirped. Even if he was the worst baby ever, they'd still love him, of course...but having it easy was nice for them, especially since Mari couldn't even walk for a good week or so after the birth.

Mari smiled lightly to him and nodded with a chuckle. "I'd like to think we did," she chirped to him before resting her forehead on his collar. "And I'd also like to think that you love me," the girl laughed softly. She hummed thoughtfully before sighing quietly. "He's a good kid... and he'll only get better. I can't wait to see him all grown..." she trailed off a little bit, knowing she was getting a little bit ahead of herself. "We did a good job, Sage," she then mused, reaching behind him to turn the water up a little bit so it was a tiny bit warmer.
