"Good, I was hoping to." He mused with a soft smile, pecking her lips.

She smiled and walked with him to the meeting room where she sat at the table, the last one there. They discussed plans for in case a neighboring kingdom that had been a recent pest would declare war. It all gave Kayla a headache by the end when she called the meeting to a close even though it had mostly just been arguing. SHe pinched the bridge of her nose, her face full of pain, confusion, and desperation as more council members insisted upon answers

Gale stood from his seat, the chair scraping against stone lightly as he did so, face already twisted. "EXCUSE ME." He snapped, the whole council shutting their mouthes and looking at him. "War Council do stay, the rest of you are dismissed." One council member scoffed, looking at him. "And why exactly should we listen to you? You're a murderer for God's sake." He snobbed, Gale's tone dropping to a dangerous one, teetering on edge as he leaned forward, gaze turning to ice. "Y'know, i'd always start to plan my victims. Usually they tried to go against me, and the next morning, they never woke up. Am I understood?" The council member nodded, hurrying after the others before Gale relaxed back to normal, turning to the War Council. "Anyways, Mercia has always been a worry, if they were to invade...it'd most likely be from the western front, here."

Gale continued organizing plans, explaining everything from a spy/assasin's perspective to show the secret routes they'd need to block.

Kayla was exhausted and hungry by the end, not really paying attention as she zoned out

"If we must, we'll capture their captain and order a treaty. Problem solved," He noted, the council nodding. "Dismissed."

The council left, Kayla barely unable to keep herself from voicing her hunger to Gale but she didn't wanna interupt

"C'mon, then." He noted, taking her hand in his as he began leading her to the kitchens.
