Ethan tilted his head, looking around for a nice tree. "Trees are fun," He said absently, walking off to grab the knives and put them back into their sheath. He glanced around. "I think you should climb trees nice." He looked at her, doing a mild double take. "..Aaand.. yes before you ask I do most of this all day unless I'm asked for." He narrowed his eyes and sprinted off toward a tree. He couldn't quite reach the lowest branch so he grabbed on like a cat and hopped up.

She laughed and shook her head, taking off after him. "Toss me two knives!" She stopped near the base of the tree, looking up calculatingly. "Or- just drop em on the ground." She circled the tree, seeming unimpressed with the cat-technique.

"What do you want two knives for?" He narrowed his eyes, looking down at her before he bounced off the trunk at a branch and grabbed on. Hanging there and watching her. He hoisted himself onto the branch, luckily it was pretty sturdy. He pulled the sheath out and just dropped it down to her since the knives were secure.

She caught them and unsheathed them. "An experiment. Hopefully these arent immensely special to you in case this goes wrong." She held one in each hand with the blades facing the tree. She walked forward and redoubled her grip, setting her foot at an angle against the trunk. She started scaling the tree, using the knives as handholds, sinking them into the tree to pull herself up. She went quickly, almost- casually. Like she walked up a tree every day. Nothing special. She got closer to the top and dropped her legs, swinging in a gracefully show-offish way to land on her knees between two branches.

Asta pulled the knives out of the tree and sheathed them with a flourish. She grinned at him, almost as though she were excited to see his reaction. Or perhaps praise.

He watched her, his ankles linked under the branch he sat on. His head tilted. "I did like those knives but bent and dull can be fixed." He leaned back swaying his feet. He stared up at her. "That wasn't climbing." He grinned at her, getting onto his feet and catching his balance before he monkeyed up the branches. Looking a bit like walking up wonky stairs, half with his arms. "I think you're a bit of a show off." He said as he swung over a branch near her. His handholds significantly more firm than on the lower branch he had been on. "..Creative." He tilted his head. "Who else would show off enough to put you in your place? And, im pretty sure that counts as climbing. Just because I didnt straddle the tree doesnt mean I didnt ClImB it. I just- used a new technique." She leapt to his branch and settled her foot there, eyeing the higher branches. She leapt up and swung up, one branch higher than him so she could look down at him. She chuckled unexpectedly. "Yknow, this reminds me of a song."

"You know that rock climbing and tree climbing are very different things right?" He narrowed an eye as she bounced around as well. He easily stood and grabbed onto her branch, climbing along it like it was monkey bars. He swung himself up and around to face her. "What song?" He fixed his hair, pushing it back. His ankled hooked again, leaning toward her with his hands almost chameleon style gripping it.

She laughed. "Its stupid. Its a kids song, it isnt important- I dont know why I thought of it to begin with." but she shook her head and leaned back against the trunk of the tree, crossing her arms. She copied his hooked ankles, still shaking in a small, silent fit of giggles.
