Sage laughed and shrugged. "Well we would have technically just graduated high school less than a year or two ago." He leaned his head back and grinned widely at Max.

"Very true." Maxine admitted "I hadn't thought about it but yeah i'd only graduated about a year before we met..." she admitted with a small chuckle. "Wow... Ethan and I only graduated this year." she chuckled "This grocery store thing is only temporary... I'm taking a well-deserved year off and Ethan is too... he's thinking about an acting career." she smiled.

Sage grinned. "Acting is cool. You'll both go where you want, I'm sure." Sage glanced up at Max and nodded. "You graduated earlier than I would have if I'd gone to high school instead of roaming the streets trying not to die," he chuckled.

Ethan chuckled "Thanks." he smiled Lizzie nodding in agreement "So can you guys... I mean once Charlie is a bit older..." Lizzie pointed out. "I don't know really..." Max admitted "I'm pretty happy where I am I think..." she admitted before looking at Sage with a chuckle.

Sage grinned and nodded. "I don't need much, just a house and a good family. I'm content with what I have." He looked over at Max and Charlie and smiled softly.

Max smiled and ruffled his hair playfully "I agree... At this point in the game I'm happy where I'm at." She smiled though she had to admit... She hadn't had a real shot to think about her future... The day Sage showed up changed her life... Forever. She didn't regret anything she had with him... She just wished she'd explored more of her options after high school. After they left Max put Charlie down for a nap and sat on the couch with her sketchbook in deep thought so much had changed within the last year... It was crazy. Her drawings had become... Different lately too, filled with weird symbols (demonic symbols) and things... But she didn't say anything to Sage out of fear that she was going crazy... No... Her daughter was more important... Watching her grow up was more important... She couldn't be deemed crazy and spend the rest of her and her daughter's life in the pits of hell... She couldn't bare the thought of that. Sage flopped down on the couch next to Max and popped an earbud in and turned on music as he lay there. He was glad to have the tiny moment of quiet and peace like this .... He didn't think he would ever get them. A year ago he wouldn't have thought any of this would have been possible, and yet here he was

Maxine jumped when he flopped down beside her quickly flipping to another page in her sketchbook offering him a smile before she went back to drawing she was glad that for the most part Charlie was a fairly easy baby... Sure she had her moments but overall (especially after figuring out what her cries meant) Max was quite happy Charlie was fairly easy going... It was surprising... But she loved it. After a short while she set her sketchbook aside and scooted closer to Sage "Whatcha listening to?" She asked gently.

He glanced over at her and shrugged. "Whatever comes on," he chuckled. He offered her the other ear bud if she wanted it.

Maxine smiled and took the other earbud curling up on his chest to enjoy their moment of peace before she suddenly sat up "Do you hear that?" She asked pulling out her earbud "There's someone else in the room... I can hear their heartbeat..." She said. Roxie smirked as she came out of hiding "Good job..." She said nodding in approval "I'm impressed..." She admitted holding up her hands "I'm only here to see your progress..." She assured though there appeared to be something on her mind.
