"Yes. Yes, it is." Ellie grumbled as she took a sip of the cider and handing the bottle back to him. Maybe she was just so used to easy bake and fast food that anything else was just wrong to her, but either way, she didn't like it. She smiled at the apple and took it gratefully before taking a bite. "It's strange but I can't imagine not knowing you anymore." She noted out of the blue. "And it's hard to think that we didn't get along," she added after taking another bite of her apple.

Sam snorted a laugh. "yeah we used to despise eachother, didn't we?" he said, pausing between crunchy bites of his apple. "the whole Western VS English thing." he chuckled a little. "god, we were so stupid weren't we." he let out a laugh before chucking the core of his apple into a bush near where they were sitting.

"That's very true," she laughed st Sams outburst of a laugh before chuckling, "but that wasn't the only reason I didn't like you. I just assumed you were stuck up... and you were," she tilted her head as if she were thinking of something, "and you still are so I guess nothing changed," she mocked, her voice quiet obviously having a teasing note.

Sam gasped loudly, holding his hand to his heart jokingly "whatever do you mean?" he said, before dropping it and grinning again. "yeah well even i admit that i may have been a tiny bit stock up back then" he said. "but hey, people change."

Ellie nodded with a chuckle, "You're a lot better now, thats true enough," She smirked before huffing and flopping back onto the soft patch of grass, "but I don't think I was much better," she visibly cringed at the thought.

"nope, you were'nt" Sam said wth a quiet snort of laughter. "western is sooo much better than english, eurgh." he said mockingly, referring to how she had been when they had first met. Sam leant back against an old tree trunk and looked across the serenely rippling lake water.

"I wasn't that bad, was I!?" She huffed, "but I stand by that." She teased before rolling her eyes. Ellie sat up and peered into the water before smiling, "I've been here for years, and you know? I've never seen this lake." She said thoughtfully, "It's pretty." She noted before glancing back to Sam.

(just gonna go ahead and add a little drama XD) "hmm..you were." Sam said, half joking, half honest. He sat back on his hands for a bit, watching the water once more. At her comment about the lake being pretty, he said "your'e pretty." Sam blinked a little, shocked about what just slipped out of his mouth. "sorry." he said quietly.

Ellie smiled softly with a nod, looking back towards the lake before she actually realised what had come out of his mouth. Her eyes widened slightly and her gaze snapped back to him. He seemed just as suprised as she was, but only she didn't quite know how to react. It was quiet for a moment before she gave him a smile, "you think?" She asked with a a slightly tilted head. "Thanks," she smiled, but it was more than clear she had no other way to reply.

"thats ok." Sam said, his voice a little muffled with his knees that he was hugging to his body, it was getting cold. shit, why did i have to say that. He thought, a little confused. but you do like her. said the voice in the back of his head. But should he listen to that voice in his head? Sam had'nt a clue.
