Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's complaint and hummed. "This one is now," he chirped. She didn't really care...which was why he was taking one. If she would have actually been upset about it, he obviously wouldn't have taken it. He munched on the dessert while she packed things up, swaying gently so Silas, who was propped up on his hip, was entertained. He felt his usual goofy grin form on his face at her kiss and nodded happily. "Yep," he hummed. He helped her clean up before reaching over to grab a hold of her hand as they walked out of the castle.

Mari grabbed the little bad that she'd over-filled with baby things... probably too many baby things, but she wanted to be prepared. She had the basked in her other hand, and Sage had the baby, so they made their way out of the castle fairly swiftly. She was excited to see her family again... and of course to show off their new addition. They wandered towards the cottage after a while, and Mari was clearly getting more and more bouncy. She didn't think they'd been planning to stay over night, mainly because she wanted to stay in the castle, where it was safer for the baby... but it would be nice to spend an hour or so with her family.

Sage wandered along next to the girl happily, as they went towards her childhood home. He noticed her getting more and more excited as time went on...by the time they arrived at the house, he practically had to jog to keep up with her. He was excited though, to show off the baby to everyone. Her mother had seemed happy, which was nice to see...and he supposed once he married the girl, she'd be a mother to him a bit too. They'd all be family. He did hope Anthony would grow to accept him, though. He released the girl so she could go into the house at her own pace. He followed her in a bit slower, since he was holding a rather fragile baby, but was close behind her all the same and looked around as he closed the door behind him.

Mari slipped through the door just in front of Sage, and announced their arrival as she placed the basket and little bag of baby things on the table. She heard little footsteps of Xander running through the house. Her pretty much bowled into her, a grin on his face. He'd defiantly grown up a little bit... well, it'd been months since she'd last been here... nearly a year. Children tended to grow up. Mari chirped a hello to the boy, before her mother came padding though. She looked between Sage and Mari before grinning and greeting the both of them. She placed her hand on Mari's side before cocking her head. "Where's the baby?" She asked with a smile. Mari pointed to Sage, who was cradling the child. "He's caller Silas," she chirped happily, a bright smile on her face, clearly quite proud of their little creation. Her mother darted over, fawning over the small person before invinting them to come and sit down. So, they did, and Mari got comfortable before cocking her head. "Is Anthony in? I didn't think he worked on weekends," she hummed lightly. Xander shook his head a little bit. "No, he doesn't. He was out all night though with some friends. I guess he stopped over in the tavern," the boy shrugged lightly. It'd been quite a common occurrence for her older brother to wander off... he'd be back soon.

Sage chuckled and grinned at Xander's enthusiastic welcome to Mari and waved at their mother when she looked in his direction. He kept a hold of Silas at first, though once they'd all sat down and gotten settled her offered her the little one, assuming she'd want to hold him. He was her first grandchild, after all, and she did seem to absolutely adore him. Silas was looking around at everything and everyone with his normal wide eyed curious look that sage had come to absolutely adore. He nodded when they noted Anthony was out....maybe that would be a good thing. Either way, it might let his own nerves settle a bit before introducing the baby to him.

Mari watched as her mother took the baby boy, and she couldn't help her grin. Xander was looking at the child with wide eyes, clearly excited to meet his new nephew. Mari went to lean against Sage, her arm wrapping around his happily. She was clearly happy about how things were going... her family was perfect. She glanced down at the little bit and went to fiddle with her ring, the one that Sage had made... her smile was huge. She needed to tell her family about that too, but she would rather Anthony showed up for that... she wanted him to meet the little guy before telling him about the engagement.

Sage looked over at Mari with a grin when she leaned into him, wrapping his own arm around her. He was glad everything was going so well so far. Mari's mother was rocking Silas back and forth gently, obviously completely estatic to finally meet the little one. She seemed so happy, which was honestly quite nice to see. Even Xander looked happy to meet the newest addition to the family. Silas seemed quite content too, though he kept looking over in his direction, probably just making sure he and Mari were still there, and we're happy. He was so proud of his family, and it was quite obvious he was completely head over heels for them both.

Mari sat with him for a little bit, just watching the two fawn over their baby boy... he looked a little bit shell-shocked for a while, but soon started getting comfortable with these new people and started babbling happily. "He was born I think... three or so weeks back? It's all gone so fast," she hummed lightly. The late nights were... a hindrance, but he really was such an easy baby otherwise. Mari went to peck Sage's cheek, obviously buzzing about her child. She was so glad her family liked him too... they'd have to come back when Anthony was home to show the child off a bit.

Sage hummed lightly and gave them a sheepish smile. "Two weeks and four days," he pointed out with a rather sheepish chuckle. He hadn't really meant to be counting out the days they'd had Silas, but it had happened somehow, and he quite honestly didn't mind it. He hadn't been planning on telling anyone he knew that, but it had slipped out. It wasn't bad though, he supposed. "I thinks he's double the size he was," he chuckled lightly, shaking his head. He gave Mari a grin when she pecked him on the cheek, glad they could have this time, to show the baby off to her family. What would be their family, once they were married. He'd let Mari tell them about the engagement on her own time...though, she'd been fiddling with the ring the entire time, so he wasn't sure how her mother hadn't noticed that yet.

Mari rested her head on Sages shoulder after a little bit, a bit of a chuckle escaping her when he mentioned how long they'd had the child. She couldn't believe he'd been counting the days... it was sweet, to say the least. "Two weeks and four days," she repeated as she looked over at the child with a fond smile. Her mother had started bouncing him around on her lap, causing happy babbles to erupt from him. Edith was... not young. So Mari was more than happy that she'd gotten to meet at least one grand child. It was a bit morbid, maybe... but Mari knew she wouldn't last much longer down in the slums. Mari took a bit of a breath before glancing down at her hand again, where she was still fiddling with the ring. She needed to tell them about their engagement, but she wanted them to be there... and there was no sign of Anthony. She'd arranged for a checkup for baby Silas later that day, so they needed to get going. "We brought some cake and things..." she trailed off as she gestured towards the basket.
