After the meeting, Kayla took another nap, trying to unwind

Gale stalked into the base, grabbing one of the guards and asking where the brother was, killing him before heading in the direction he was told.

Gale slid in the shadows to the tent, listening in. "Target here first. . . one of five. . . then we invade. A countdown. . ." Bits and pieces were all he heard, darting back to Adonis before getting back as fast as possible.

Kayla was sleeping in her room, four guards posted outside her door and on the ground underneath her window

Gale jumped off the steed, handing him off before darting to the council, chest heaving with each breath. "Their attacking, five days---a countdown. One attack per day, then they invade."

The head council member stepped forward. "What? Who? Why is there invasions happening?"
| |
| |

Gale held up a hand, telling him to give him a second to catch his breath. "Yes, five days, five attacks. I'm thinking they'll do five kills, then four, three, two, one, before invading here. Not just the castle, the whole kingdom. It's Kayla's brother, he wants the throne back. Killed two of his scouts who broke in, one stabbed Kay." He explained

"They stabbed the queen?!" One of the council members bellowed. "She's in her bedroom, sir. We've had guards posted on the ground, the roof, and outside her door. 12 in total." A guard informed Gale. "She's asleep"

"Not all the way, she is alright now after medics have tended to her. If scouts can come into the castle, then we need to prepare. " He started, looking at the guard. "Summon the War Council." Gale turned back to the council. "Unless you are part of the War Council, return to your houses and that is an order."
